Rating is for location only. Other than that, a negative number would be more applicable. However, Booking.com shares the impact of any negative comments. Continuously we click on room options, and see pictures of the best in the house and NOT the room being selected. Totally "not exactly as illustrated". We refused our dark closet of a room with a room with a window which we THOUGHT we had booked. It in turn had ripped blinds that didn't work, a safe that didn't work which had an insecure safe on top (that also prohibited closet doors from opening properly), a gob of an unidentified object on the ceiling and screws sticking out in tiny bathroom that ripped clothes (dressing in there because no blinds). Totally bad experience. Our brother refused his dark closet (fire code fears) and was still forced to pay even though he ended up at another nearby hotel. We are not "high-end gringos" by any stretch and after 10 years of traveling South America we know first hand 100s of other hotels to stay for the same price with a much better experience.

THIS CAN BE A POTENTIALLY EXCELLENT HOTEL IF IT CAN UPGRADE. THE PROS ARE THAT THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL, THE ELEVATOR IS MOST EFFICIENT AND THE LOCATION IS ACCEPTABLE. THERE IS PLENTY OF HOT WATER, AND THEY HAVE A CONSTANT SUPPLY OF NICE COFFEE. THEY HAD BIKES FOR RENT AND LOANED YOU UMBRELLAS WHEN IT RAINED. THE CONS ARE THAT SOME ROOMS HAVE NO HOT WATER TAP IN THE BATHROOM. IN ORDER TO SHAVE , I HAD TO GO IN THE SHOWER.THEY DID NOT SUPPLY DRINKING GLASSES AND FREE POTABLE WATER. WE HAD TO PURCHASE WATER FOR BRUSHING OUR TEETH.THE BREAKFAST IS OK,BUT THE CONSTANT TIRED SCRAMBLED EGGS ARE NOT TOO IMPRESSIVE. THERE WAS A TV BUT THERE WAS NOT ONE ENGLISH CHANNEL. THE HOTEL IS ALSO ON THE FLIGHT PATH OF A LOCAL AIRPORT AND THE NOISE IN THE MORNING IS SOMEWHAT LOUD. ON A SCALE OF ONE TO TEN, I WOULD RATE THIS HOTEL AS 7.5

My go to place in Medellín. My favorite location. Quiet friendly staff, good breakfast. Excellent water pressure in the showers. Only negative is the small bathroom.

Clean, convenient, good breakfast, close to everything... All you need for a short stay.

Great newer clean hotel, great service, great location, safe green flat part of town in Laureles. Just 6 minutes walk to Unicentro mall and 70 street for nightlife. Affordable eateries just Infront of the hotel. Very attentive staff. Clean air-conditioned room, very good mattress and pillows. Bathroom a bit small, but the shower was comfortable regular size. Breakfast was more than I expected, fruit, juices, eggs to order, breads, cerials and some hot dish . Lady, the breakfast attendant gave excellent service, very caring. Thank you Lady and the rest of the Staff too. I will definitely be back when ever I am in Medellin. Love laureles !

Comfortable hotel in Medellin.

They cheated me when I had my laundry washed. I had my laundry washed in two other hotels in Colombia. They never charged more than 15,000 COP. This hotel charged 50,000 COP each time for two loads. The third time they invented a bill for 72,000 COP right as I was checking out, for a load of laundry that was never washed. I have never experienced something like this. Watch out for this place.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast, welly located nearby la 70 Avenue and Estadio metro. Felt safe walking back there at night up to around 10pm. WiFi and hot water worked fine. Room though was a bit small, not much space for my clothes, plus they could do with double glazing the windows for traffic noise in the morning. However if that doesn't bother you, I would definitely recommend this place, for the lovely staff and great breakfast alone !!

A great hotel, quiet and tucked away off the beaten path. The staff here go out of their way to help with anything you need. The breakfast is good and included with most reservations.

Great hotel located close to la 70 but far enough away to not hear any noise. Hotel staff is excellent and rooms are impeccably clean. Breakfast buffet is amazing air has a great variety and fresh items everyday 🤤🤤. My new go to stay in Medellin now.

Very freindly helpful staff. Decent location in a pretty quiet part of town. My room was clean and tidy but small, especailly the bathroom/shower, they were TINY!! No view at all from my window (just a wall) Breakfast in good enough too. Reading the "riot act" about the extra costs of having any type of guest for any length of time (down to 2 minutes!) was a bit heavy handed I must say! NOT the ideal "welcome" I expected!!!

Standard rooms don't have any natural light. Breakfast is great.
