I had to get an MRI done quickly and paid $750 out of pocket. The supervisor promised I would be reimbursed after Insurance approved it. Their computer system was being changed and they failed to send out the request to my insurance company. The end result is my request was denied after appeal. The supervisor said she would follow up but 6 months later, no response. DON'T USE SHEILDS. THEY'RE IRRESPONSIBLE!

It is part of an operation with 40 units. On the 4th floor of medical complex. It is easily accessible off route 93. There is plenty of parking. It is a comfortable building. The intake staff along with the other staff were helpful and kind. Every need of the patient is anticipated and caters well to the patients. It is not perfect, but close. I recommend it highly.

The notes accompanying my MRI were vague, non-commital, confusing and contradictory. The Radiologist left me with more questions than answers- to afraid to have an adult conversation about their own poorly written notes. Now I wait 3 + months for a Neurologist to actually explain the lesions that my MRI found. No big deal. Everyone at the facility was kind and professional. It’s the actual MRI and lack of explanation from Radiology that gets a 1 rating. If you have any serious chronic conditions and expect answers I would be very weary using them.

Great experience! The team was friendly, funny and engaging. They made sure I was fully aware of what/how things were happening and injected a lot of personality. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone was.

Everything went great. Scheduling was easy, check in was seamless, and each person ensured I was comfortable, warm, and cared for each step of the way. Great experience overall.

My experience with Shields MRI has so far been horrible. First, they provide an estimated cost to me over the phone that was reasonable, and I made an appointment. The estimate was one cost for two images, and the one cost was based on the fact that both images would occur on the same appoint. I was careful to have them double-check that cost. The day before the appointment, I received an automated confirmation call in which the appointment time had changed, so I called in to check. They had rescheduled me with notice, creating two separate appointment times for each image. I asked them to triple-check the cost, and they reconfirmed that it was still accurate. But when I arrived for my appointment, they gave me a different estimate that was double -- separate charges for each image. I talked to a supervisor who revised that estimated even higher, to triple the original estimate! I cancelled my appointment, had them put the estimates on paper, and the supervisor, Jasmine, promised to follow up with me on the next busy day. She never did. So I called back in, and talked to the financial department who gave me a fourth estimated cost based on the idea that my insurance company would discount my second image 50%. When I asked her to double-check, you told me she'd worked there 10 years, and I should just trust her. When I asked for the estimate on paper, she said they NEVER put estimates on paper, even though I had the two from my original appointment in my hand. So at this time, I have received 4 different estimates, been given misinformation at least 5 times, had my appointment changed without notice, and been promised follow ups that never came. I'm just trying to determine if I can afford to get the MRI's my doctor ordered! If you find yourself in need of imaging without a lot of hassle and issues -- I can't warn you against going to Shields MRI strongly enough!

I just got home from my open MRI. I cannot give enough praise to each person from sign in right through the process. I am severely claustrophobic and Indy went above and beyond staying with me initially through the first cycle. Earplugs and headphones and a black mask was the perfect combination. I am so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you Ladies. I hope and pray they can finally get to the bottom of this constant pain and very limited range of motion since last summer. 🙏🙏🙏

OVER PRICED! Sheilds had scheduled me an MRI on a Saturday for 9 days later. On the Friday before my appointment at 2PM they sent the paperwork to my insurance company for an authorization #. At that time my insurance company called to inform me that I can get it done at other reputable locations for less money. Sheilds wanted $775. Not to mention quicker turn around. So needless to say I scheduled the same MRI for $364 dollars. Had to spend a couple hours on the phone to get paper work moved around properly and cancel my appointment with Sheilds. My advice is to check rates before using them and even if insurance is covering 100%, don't use a place that charges double. Must have an effect on our insurance rates somewhere down the line.

Omg they need to schedule better. Dropped my husband off at 9pm, they said it should take about 1/2 hour altogether. I waited over 2 1/2 hours outside. They didn't take him in till 10:30. I will never ever have my husband or anyone I know go here for anything else ever.
