I came to this place for lunch purely because of its high rating. But my experience was different. It is pricey and the food is small in size. The lobster roll contained probably only 7-8 pieces of lobster. The salmon was good although. Just now I checked some of the reviews and found most of them were for dinner. Maybe they are good for dinner, but not that good for lunch?

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston for contemporary American and Italian food. This has been one of my go-to spots for pasta dinner, and I really enjoyed my recent brunch experience here as well. Their handmade pasta has an amazing texture, and I’m especially fan of their fat spaghetti. The local clams spaghetti and the sausage ragu rigatoni are also great, and their minimal seasoning helps highlight their textures. While no longer offered, tomato braised calamari was also one of my favorites as the mix of tomato sauce and lemon was an excellent pairing with the calamari. When I recently took my friend here for brunch, I was disappointed to hear that they don’t serve pasta, but I still liked all the menus that we tried. Huevos rancheros was a more filling meal overall, but I also liked the coconut milk mussels that came with fragrant Thai spices and an interesting kick from the chili. Since they don’t take reservations, the wait times are usually around 30 minutes for dinner, but they’re certainly worth the wait. The wait times are definitely shorter for brunch, but I would highly recommend trying their dinner menus first.

Had dinner at dovetail for the first time, we loved the food, ambiance, and wine. Service was good with a bit of lag due to being a beautiful night and the patio was packed! I didn’t get a picture of everything but I loved the corn soup with lump crab, the focaccia bread small plate was AMAZING! I could have this as my meal it was just so good! I had an amazing sparkling rose which I forget the name but I believe it was Spanish. We normally venture into downtown Boston for dinner but this hidden gem was a lovely find and easier to find parking too. Will add this to our favorites list for sure :)

I had a wonderful dinner here with my family. We ordered steak, chicken, pasta, salad, and a couple of cocktails. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was pleasant. It was a warm summer day, so we sat outside. The service was alright, besides a few awkward moments. It was nice that they were so friendly toward children, and we saw some other families there.

Absolutely fantastic. This was my first time visiting and enjoyed myself. The Chicken and Waffles was great. My food was on the table with it 15 minutes of ordering too. This is a place I will definitely revisit when in town. Cheers, y’all. 🍗🧇

Took a break from my Hop On Hop Off tour day to grab a bite. This is not an inexpensive place but I enjoyed the tastes of my choices. These actually may be normal prices for this area but seemed higher to me than was typical of other places .At the time I was here the menu available was The Mid-day offerings. I didn't even know that was a thing! More limited choices than even the Lunch menu was my understanding (for example no soup choice but there is at lunch). For a few roasted oysters and really enjoyed them. Oysters have really become the food for the well endowed wallets. And then got thr lobster roll which came with homestyle potato chips. The staff was very friendly but I have to admit, their casual style of dress threw me off for the price point that I encountered (only because we didn't know at first who was a worker for the establishment). All in all I enjoyed my meal.

Very loud. Food was not good, a big disappointment. The tuna crudo didn't have much tuna and it was hardly seasoned. The pasta was also not good. Their other location, brewer's fork was much better (was there a couple of years ago so maybe it is not good anymore, idk)

Loved this place! Attentive, friendly service plus—and more importantly—the food really shines here. Fresh ingredients, carefully crafted for the most enjoyable dining experience I’ve had in a long time. It was so good for lunch that we returned the next morning for brunch. When we came back the next morning, the chef noticed us as repeat diners and sent out a complimentary avocado toast as a thank you. I am impressed. I don’t live in the area, but if you do, you gotta come here. It was phenomenal!
