I came across L.A. Burdick by chance with my husband. We just wanted to have a drink but the amazing place and the quiet atmosphere attracted us 😍 We ordered hot chocolate for our drinks and some cakes, and spent about an hour there. I loved my cake. Highly recommend to taste it. It’s a must go place to visit!

This was the absolute best hot chocolate I've ever had! I got a small milk chocolate and drank it in three sips. I wish I'd ordered a larger size because it's been two days and I'm still thinking about it. My friend got the Brazil. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate but they really enjoyed it. I guess this place is known for having extremely rich hot cocoa and it definitely is that. Very thick (in the best way) and creamy 😋 L.A. Burdick was a great way to warm up on a cold, rainy night. Also, the passion fruit dessert was out of this world!

I simply love this place! The interior is well decorated! A lot of lights inside the store! They have a huge variety of products we have to go more than once to try all the things! The food is really good and the attendant are so kind! The place stays less than 10 minutes walking from Harvard square and they have a restroom inside.

Their coffee's aroma lures you in, And the chocolate animals make you grin. Lambs, penguins, and mice so sweet, It's hard to pick which one to eat. Oh, how I wish LA Burdick was here, So we could indulge in chocolate cheer. Alas, it's not in LA with me, But my memory of it shall always be. For anyone visiting its cozy nook, LA Burdick's sweets will have you hooked. A chocolate wonderland like no other, A place to indulge and savor each flavor. 5 stars for vibe, staff, and food.

The place is not very large with few tables where you can eat inside and really not very comfortable. The desserts are really delicious, but with regard to the chocolate I was a little disappointed because I expected it to be much thicker and creamier, instead it was very liquid. The only thing I don't recommend are the small sweets, similar to the French macarons, but they don't have the same crispness and lightness as the originals; it's better to stick to the chocolate single-portions, there are some very good ones! At the beginning of the restaurant there is a small shop where you can buy chocolate or small gifts.

The last pic is the recent one. Seems like they lost their touch for the hot chocolate drink? The last 3 times i tried dark chocolate drink was not the same as before. I have been to this place once in a week from past 2 years but highly disappointed from the last 3 times.

The place for the best hot chocolate and delicious chocolate desserts in Cambridge. You order your drinks and desserts at the counter, and the server brings it to your table. There is a small shop within the cafe to buy the artisan handcrafted chocolates. The chocolates are not cheap, but you get value for money.

Best place to get hot chocolate. This place is pretty crowded by the service is quick. I got the grenada hot chocolate and the chocolate moose cake. The hot chocolate was excellent. The moose was also good. Definitely recommend this place in boston for hot chocolate.

Wandering around Boston, I so wanted to bask in some quiet, intimate place and eat something sweet with hot tea! We didn't regret choosing this place based on the location and the reviews! They took hot red tea with a slice of lemon cake ❤️ the cake was incredibly tasty, fresh, soft and moderately sweet, there was a pleasant sourness 🥰❤️ This is the most delicious lemon cake in the world! L.A. Burdick's hot chocolates have a deep and rich flavor that I adore, and the cakes are soft but very flavorful. The atmosphere is also great even though it's small, and the service was quick and kind. Something to note though is that if you want single source hot chocolate, you can only have the one they provide for the day. Regardless, I would 100% recommend it and their cakes to everyone.

Stopped here while walking around Harvard and loved how nice the place was. Tried an iced chocolate drink that was really good. I could tell it was good quality chocolate as it didn’t taste overly sweet or artificial. Will definitely try to stop by next time I am in Boston.

Dark chocolate drink was way too sweet. You can’t taste the chocolate with this much sugar. The place is very pricey and too overpriced for a low quality sugary hot chocolate. It is not recommended at all except if you like too sweet and sugary taste

I always like the earl grey cake but today’s visit is a bit disappointing. The chocolate cake layer is extremely hard I almost could not cut through using a fork. I know it should not be like this and I have it many times before. I mentioned it to the staff and got the response that “probably it is because we just took it from the freezer, it will become soft again, and it is what it’s suppose to be”. However now 30min later, I gave it enough time to ‘thaw’ and did not see any sign of being soft again. It is apparently too dry and won’t be moist anymore. I would avoid ordering this item from the Harvard location. And if you see this review, you probably want to try the Newbury location. Two stars for the coffee.

This dark chocolate mocha was so decadent and warming. It's quite small (for the small) but each sip will cozy you right up with the molten goodness. Came to sit down and write a couple emails on my laptop and it was very pleasant. I also ordered two pastries to go for my brother and he seemed to love them as well. Drinks: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Vibes: 8/10 Value: 7/10

A cozy cafe with magnificent chocolates! We came in as shelter from the rain and stayed for some nice hot chocolate and some delicious cakes. There is a bit of seating to make it a nice quick stop and the aesthetic and smell of the cafe wraps together quite nicely 🍫 The people who work here were also very nice Tony’s and were willing to explain items and wrap gift chocolates for us too :)

We ordered hot chocolate here, and it was so good! The hot chocolate was like drinking a hot chocolate pudding, so tasty! And the brownie was delicious. And we also got some chocolates, looking forward to trying them!

We loved the shop. We didn't purchase anything because who has 82.00 for a box of chocolates. I took my wife to the CVS and bought her a reeses peanut butter cup for 2.00. I saved 80.00. If you have the money this is the place to go.

I got the Burdick cookie and the Iced drinking chocolate. The Iced drinking chocolate was soo good. Very rich and it felt just like you were drinking a chocolate bar. Cookie was good as well. Definitely a neat place and a must stop if you love chocolate.

One of the best chocolate-chip cookies Ive ever had!!! The Torte was really tasty too. Loved it so much. Staffs were nice and inside of the shop was cute. They have inside seats available, which was nice. We got cute small penguin and mouse chocolates for the gifts.

If you want to feel fancy this is your place! Cozy atmosphere and everything looked amazing! The Burdick cookie was okay, but the iced dark drinking chocolate was literally like drinking a chocolate bar! Incredible!
