This place has been a staple in the community since I moved to the area nearly 14 years ago! The food is excellent, and it is definitely a crowdpleaser when are you bringing a bagel bunch to your family or coworkers! It’s a part of our regular lunch rotation and the service is great too! We had the best surprise this morning to have this bagel bunch shared with us- it was a day brightener for sure! We are lucky to have his business in our community! Highly recommend!

I ordered a bagel online for pick-up with honey butter, expecting it to have honey butter (which is my usual order so I know what it tastes like) I come home and bite into it, and pure honey spills out. I went back to see if I could get it replaced, and the employee I talked to was super nice and understanding and went back to get the owner for me. And when he came out he told me they didn't have the product so they just put honey in it, instead of just telling me that the product was not available. I understand if they didn't have it as unavailable on the website, but they could have messaged or called me. I asked if I could somehow get it replaced and he said “I guess” in a rude tone, I would think since he's the owner he would be more accommodating and have better customer service. My dog is more friendly to people.

Our whole family loves this restaurant. The food is great and the staff are so helpful. It also has a great atmosphere inside if you'd like to dine in. The ordering online and pickup is super easy. Be sure to check this place out if you're looking for a bit to eat or ice cream treat. You won't go wrong.

It was fast, coffee was great but the burrito bagel needs a little something like seasoning or spice it was kinda bland. The refried beans just need a little more kick on it some salt or even fresh peppers mixed with it. Just my two cents.

OTB Cafe is wonderful, a toast salted bagel with bacon and a sugared blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese, oh so good. The hard scoop ice cream is an after-school must.

One of my favorite places to eat. The bagels are super good; they are chewy and delicious. I love the sandwiches, especially the open face ones. You can also get wraps and salads. They also some of the best ice cream, with tons of flavor choices. My only complaint is that it's so busy!

Nothing short of excellent. Chicken wild rice soup with bagel chips was perfect for the cold winter evening. I would request more chips for a bowl that size. The drinks were perfect! Service was amazing! Will definitely be returning when in Owatonna.

We were in town for a wedding on July 15th, 2023. We decided to opt out of the free breakfast at our hotel to try the nice little Bagel Shop just a few steps from our hotel. As cam inside the shop was buzzing with a nice cool atmosphere. We put our order in and found a table. 10-15 minutes go buy and we see multiple orders coming out that was behind ours. We went to the counter after 15 min to see if there was an issue and boy did things go down hill fast. They claimed they had no record of our order and wanted us to reorder and pay again!! We had a number they gave us for our order and table!! I told them we have a restaurant and use the Square POS system as well. It’s very simple to pull it back up just using your name. Once they figured out I was more knowledgeable than them, they just wanted to get us out of the shop asap. They offered us two options, a refund or they would reprint they order and we would have to wait for another 20 minutes. We decided to wait so we could give a complete review of the food, atmosphere, and service. Overall the food was pretty average, the breakfast special sandwich was the best. A lot of sweet options including a bunch of flavors of ice cream. Overall a nice atmosphere, decent food, but the service from our experience was terrible and we were not the only ones having problems.

*Update 4/19/2022 from 5 to 4 stars: While was (assuming still is) a place with good bagels, it’s expensive and the wait times are ridiculously long. Whether called in or ordered online or ordered in shoppe, the wait is terribly long. So freaking good! So many great and flavorful choices of bagels and ways to eat them. Cream cheese is awesome and plenty of variety. Coffees good, too. Tomato soup is on point. Have never been disappointed. Always a win. Staff is always friendly.

So many options all day...friendly family owned business. Never an issue for my family to drive 45 minutes when we get the craving...its our favorite and the only place we'll buy bagels!

I don't usually post reviews but this little cafe is worth bragging about! I recently started working in Owatonna and it has quickly become my favorite lunch spot! Great social distancing set up and their chicken and bacon salad and wildberry hibiscus tea are to die for!

Best bagel and coffee spot in town! Great small town feel. Offer a great selection of bagels and different sandwich options. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed that they didn't have anything other than sweet bagels to get a sandwich at 1130! We drove from out of town and were pretty disappointed we couldn't get lunch.

They have really good food. A great place in town to grab breakfast or lunch! & they have a variety of fresh "side" options. There is typically a wait time, 20+ mins around those times of day? So, call ahead if you can! Owners seem to be cranky more days than not, and do not specifically seem to like any custom orders. But the other staff are normally younger-cheery students.

Wonderful bagels! My coworkers appreciated the dozen bagels and cream cheese.

The bagels are amazing, just the right amount of chewy & crusty. Lots of choices for both individual bagels and sandwiches made on the delicious bagels. I had the Santa Fe, it was just what I wanted. The location itself was clean, uncluttered, and had a pleasant aroma.

Love this place soup is on point and price's are reasonable!

The owner is extremely rude! He yelled at a customer because he wanted to ensure the lady before him got her order first. It is unbelievable and disappointing. This place needs a different person greeting customers. I assume the owner is going through some stuff, or hates his job. Old Town Bagel is an amazing little business and if people continue to be treated this way, i will not be surprised if they loose customers.

The best bagel shop I've been to. It may be small, but it's the best place in downtown Owatonna in my opinion.

I love the turkey classic on a plain bagel, it's my favorite. It's simple but delicious. My daughter Ioves the pepperoni pizza bagel. I like the fact that I can place my order for a certain time and it's ready to go when I get there. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean. I also love bagels with their honey walnut!!!

Every time I come there’s always an issue with something. I get the wrong size, or they give me too much ice, etc. Usually they are pretty nice but I asked if they had cold foam once and I could hear multiple people in the background talking about it saying “this isn’t Starbucks” and whatever.

This Caribou Coffee was one of the cozier ones I have been to. I was served quickly and stayed awhile to enjoy my coffee. There was a nice fireplace running and I was able to play trivia with my boyfriend. Caribou has done it once again!

Never been disappointed

Very disappointed in the service I got today. Ordered 3 drinks to being home for my family. Asked for a carrier and never got one so I had to carry them and dropped 2 of them. Was treated very rude at the drive thru window. All my drinks were supposed to be blended. well the blender must have been broken since there were chunks of ice in them. So big they didn't fit through the straw. Overall disappointed and don't think I'll be going back.

For a small staff they are strong and determined. I appreciate even when they are busy they keep the space tidy and clean up when they can. They always have a positive attitude and it is hard to leave withought feeling motivated and determined to be your best. Calm atmosphere very chill space, drivethrough can be a bit of a warzone with the other drivers in a small space, but just stand your ground, and maybe even do a war cry as you drive to intimidate the other drivers and have an easier time getting around.

Hoping training helps new store. Asked twice what size drink I wanted and they tried giving me a small instead of a large. Gave up trying to get them to use my loaded balance in the Caribou ap and just paid cash.

Waited an hour for one bagel sandwich and a tea to go. Place was full of people standing around waiting for orders as they trickled out one every 10 to 15 minutes. The guy at the front counter was even rude enough to make a snide remark about my last name as I received the order instead of being courteous and apologizing for the kk g wait line any self respecting business would do. Don’t go to this place if you’re in a rush, the food is mediocre at best and definitely not worth an hour long wait.

The restaurant itself is okay, but I made the mistake of ordering the “smoked salmon sandwich”. It was not fresh and gave me the WORST food poisoning I have had in years. Their coffee roast is also not great. Perhaps ok for basic turkey and cheese sandwiches, but not risking it again!

My granddaughter and I were on an adventure today enjoying the area. We were appreciative to the employee at Cabela's that recommended this wonderful place for lunch, when we asked for a recommendation. The food is delicious, fresh, and served to your table! We also tried their delicious ice cream flavors. What sets this shop apart is not only the delicious fresh food, but the kind, clean, neat employees that encouraged you in your choices as well as welcomed us for ice cream and welcomed us to try flavors. All truly appeared to enjoy their job and enjoy meeting us and welcoming us. I highly recommend this establishment to all. We do plan to return in the future. Thank you all who welcomed and served us today with kindness, neatness, and a smile!

Stopped in on our way through town for delicious bagel sandwiches and coffee. Bagels are top-notch and perfectly made. Friendly folks, great food and drink, very charming space. We'll be stopping by again next time we are nearby.

The staff is very unfriendly. Customer service is often terrible. Routinely get the wrong order and wait more than 30 minutes for simple orders. Bagel selections often limited.

I want to love love love OTB, I really do. But after giving it another shot today after taking a break for some time, I decided to stop in for 2 sandwich's and 2 soups. The girl taking my order ( I wish there would have been a name tag) was clearly irritated jsut by having to be there. I must not have ordered quickly enough because the eye rolling and " ughs" were so loud. After I ordered, the people behind me didn't get to her fast enough for her liking... more groaning and an " oh my god" and eye roll... yikes. After waiting 20 minutes ( thats cool, it was the lunch rush) I got my to go order and headed home... opened up our sandwich's and? BURNT.. all around the outside of the bagels were black.. burnt black. I mimicked my friendly cashier while in my kitchen and rolled my eyes. Our soup? DELISH!!!

Only giving a 3 star because on multiple occasions they have gotten our order wrong. Good, clean place to eat. Atmosphere is very welcoming.

2nd time coming in, except this time for lunch not breakfast. Again the same cashier was extremely rude, as she was with the customers ahead of us. Rude and disregarding, when visiting an establishment like this you would think someone personable and friendly would be the first face that greets you, unfortunately this is not the case. Great food, poor service.

When I turned my head the cashier was spraying disinfectant right at me. She wouldn't stop when asked. Soggy sandwich. Good espresso.

I like the bagel sandwiches, they’re delicious. I don’t like the wait times. On multiple occasions we have had to wait over 40 minutes for our order whether we ordered in person or online, and at different times and days. Today, we ordered ahead and when we got there at the estimated pickup time (which was 35 minutes from when we ordered) we still had to wait. We watched people order in person while we were there and get their food before us. It ended up being a 55 minute wait total from order to pickup. Five more minutes and I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else.

Ordered online as I usually do, there was a minor issue, not OTB's fault in any way, and they STILL made it right for us!! This a business that cares about their community and their customers. Thanks so much Mark and Stacy, you are so very appreciated!! We will be back again and again and again! Love your food!

While the food is ok, it most certainly is not worth the ridiculous wait times. I’ve tried on 3 separate occasions to call and order breakfast before work, and they can’t be bothered to answer the phone. That’s cool. Wags deserves my money more anyway.

We recently dined at old town bagel, and everyone was super friendly we only have a couple problems, after we paid we sat and waited for our Togo order. 5 mins went, 10 mins and before we knew it 45 mins pasted by still no bagel. I went to let a worker know and afterwards they still got our order wrong, super nice environment tho, they made it better and gave us free cookies for our 45 mins wait

I’ve been dining in and taking out here for years! I really love the food. However, today I had an experience that really made me reconsider. Knowing it’s homecoming and it’s typically busy, I called to ask if they were still accepting orders around 3pm instead of just stopping in. The woman who answered said “No” and immediately hung up on me. I understand days like this are hectic and overwhelming hence why I wanted to check, but there is absolutely no reason to treat customers this way.

Went in this morning to order one bagel. I was the only one in line, a small group came in and ordered 5 minutes after I did. They received there breakfast bagels before me. I left after paying and waiting 15 minutes. I messaged OTB, they apologized but didn't offer me another bagel or my money back.

Delicious food with a nice and comfy atmosphere. Always get the pizza bagel. Tons of bagels, cream cheeses, and sandwiches to choose from. Always recommend.

We all know the bagels are great but have you tried some of the desserts?!?!? The key lime minis and lemon bars are so smooth and tart flavored. On fire!
