Great BBQ. Beans were great with mix of meat. Fun atmosphere. But pricey!!

Nothing was good. Ordered salad with meat. Salad was old and brown. Not fresh. Sent it back. My friend decided not to eat. The second one was just as bad. I was so hungry I ate it. 😫 only good thing was the ice tea. The service was decent but the wait staff should not have served that to anyone.

Alrighty... I'm having a very hard time defending this place.. my food has always been passable. But the service here is an absolute joke. Ive seen people walk into this restaurant and wait for 10-15 minutes before getting seated. AND I've witnessed people walk in, wait for 10 minutes, and then inquire about their takeout order. And the response?? The hostess rolled their eyes at the person and just coldly told them to go to the back corner for takeout orders. Please get your poor attitude, sub par service figured out

Not as pleasant as my last visit. Not the establishments fault, well, not totally. I should have just sat at the bar maybe🤷‍♂️ I was alone, got seated at a table by the TV. Like right in front of it. Nothing like eating and having others watch you the entire time. Wasnt nothing good on anyway. Just another distraction. As if families don't have a difficult enough time putting their phones down already. I don't remember a TV being in the dining room the last time I was there several years ago. 🤦‍♂️ I'll know better next time. I wasn't super impressed with the brisket platter this time. Looks like the portions got rationed down a little too. Bill was $25 for one, I tipped $25 on top of it. My waitress was busting her tail with all of the tables she was serving! Wasn't her fault I got a thimble of mashed potatoes and a thimble of slaw. Not very impressed with portions to price ratio. Side are cheap, no need to be stingy. You didn't need to raise your prices to pay for TV and cable/satellite for me.

I ordered the sliced brisket platter with 2 sides , my food came out in reasonable time , my mashed potatoes were soooo cold it would even melt the fake whipped butter I had to beg for , the brisket tasted good but was also cold , my steamed broccoli 🥦 however possible, was very very good , good flavor and warm , the waiterress or server was too worried about serving her friends 2 tables down from ours , my first bad experience with famous daves

I absolutely love this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal, at any location. This time I tried the stuffed baked potato. It was terrific. Highly recommend. And as always, wonderful atmosphere and a friendly waitress.

Food was decent, cornbread was dry, and brisket was a bit tough, service couldve been a little better in my opinion with how slow things were when i went.

Ordered a Texas Beef Brisket, ask for well done. Waitress mumbled something. Got it , was raw on top and bottom center was done, it was unchewable. Tasted awful w fat. Said that what is. A hell of price for food that was unbeatable. Poor service. So we all won't back. I give it 0 stars.....

Beautiful,from the warmth and attitude of the host that seated you to the attentive waitress and all who shared a smile was beyond Awesome,it was Awesomeness 👍 ,and when it came to the food , Delicious, Delicious and when it came to the Dessert, you've got to try the Bread Pudding,the Best I've ever had , I'd have to give " Dave's Famous B-B-Q" a 10 plus,plus,plus Excellent!

Not sure how famous Dave's is even open. Horrible bbq. Ribs obviously are pre smoked another time and tossed on the grill when ordered. Absolutely horrible.

Couldn't wait for Sunday night. Football, baseball, golf and basketball. Had some good wine ready to go and ended up with the worst brisket ever. Really disappointing. Never again!

This was my first time at a Famous Dave's in years and they did not disappoint me. Service was good, even though we were a large group. Food was as ordered and very tasty. It was easy to find, too, and close to a Kwik Trip and Cabela's off the highway. If you're in Owatonna and looking for lunch or dinner, check out Famous Dave's. I'll be back.

Looks like the restaurant was short on staff. It took a long for us to be assisted, for the food and the check out to come. The food was very good though.

It was great as always, hot and tasty! Our waitress was very helpful and timely!

The brisket had so much fat that it wasn't even brisket, the corn on the cob was cold and not even tender, and the ribs were very salty. The only good things were the cornbread muffins, fries and the chicken.

Ordered delivery through Door Dash. Order was prompt and warm . However.. no silverware nor napkins were provided by Famous Dave’s. Kind of hard to backfill when your stranded in a hotel room in a snowstorm.

Staff was friendly and polite. For how few workers there were, the two ladies that were running around on Sunday March 26 around 3pm did amazing. They forgot our cornbread in the kitchen but apologized and made up for it. Seems like this is a management issue and might need more waitresses/ staff. Loved the food and atmosphere! First time being here, so thankyou ladies for helping me out with the menu!

I hadn't been here since I was in elementary school. My wife and I drove by and we just had to stop for the sake of memories and sharing it with my spouse. Oh my goodness they delivered! They had fantastic Service, savory delicious food that came out very quickly, a fair price. We had the feast for 2, $49.99 almost too much food, we had to get boxes for leftovers. Very nice decor, and just a wholesome environment. We will be back, and with friends! Thank you for living up to and surpassing fond memories. -Millers

Food was really good. Except their mac n cheese. That was the strangest Mac n cheese I’ve ever had. But their sandwiches and fries are fantastic. I highly recommend the pulled chicken sandwich (add coleslaw!!!).

Haven't been here in many years. The food was good, but they need to do a deep cleaning. Booths, table tops, menus decor, etc. are either dusty or sticky. How clean is the kitchen?

I had the Texas brisket plate the meat have no type of flavor not even the smoke taste… I wasn’t offered a second drink and only reason I gave a two star because one of the ladies was nice enough to check ingredients in some of there food but this was highly overpriced I feel I got robbed smh

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with staff shortages and have to hire some people who clearly don't like the public. Your employees are the face of the business and I'd be embarrassed if some of them represented my company. I'm sure I'm not alone on this thought. Got a 3 meat combo 2 sides only got 1 side.The time before we got corn they shoved 2 peices of soaking wet corn that looked terrible plus it soaked the box never seen corn that wet before. Plus the baked potatoe was brown and could not even smash it.Not sure if we will be back like getting to go from famous daves but scared to order again.

Food was good as usual except one of our food items were forgotten but we eventually got it. Then the server turned on the town hall debate and started watching it while we waited to get our change. She just stared at the tv holding our money while we were waiting to leave. The place isn't as clean as it used to be.

Service was HORRIBLE!! After waiting over 15 mins, AFTER we finished our nachos, food was cold and burnt. Manager did take some money off, but it'll be awhile before we go back.

Rib tips were a little dry for being served at high time dinner service. Only two choices of sauce, hot or mild. Were was the Sweet n sassy or the Georgia mustard?

Ordered the half BBQ Chicken and it arrived before me in 90 seconds. Yep, it was super dry from sitting out for quick serve. Dave is a legend in his own mind.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is yummy and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we have a delightful evening. highly recommended.

We love going to Famous Dave's and ordering the family style meals. It includes ribs, brisket, chicken, pork, and the baked beans are fantastic. You also get coleslaw, French fries, Texas toast, and cornbread. Lots of napkins and wet wipes are needed because you'll want to use your fingers. Service is fast and friendly.

Rude staff, ignored for the first 10 min and was NOT busy at all.

Well, I don’t know what to say!! We had to wait for a table, our fault because we didn’t make a reservation, then had to wait to order because our waitress didn’t come back right away! Then we ordered, took a while to get our drinks, maybe she was really busy?!?!?! Then I got my salad, a while later our meals! Uugghhh I ordered bar b que chicken and chicken strips and chopped pork! I got bone in wings, rib tips and Mac n cheese!! I’m totally flabbergasted lay the errors!?!? Like WTH??
