In a place that was destined to be a part of heaven on earth, where hearts are at peace and quiet with reverence and love for God and the Messenger... This is a place where hearts are cleansed of hatred and selfishness, and you lose all negative energy and gain love for God and the Messenger, so your body is charged with positive energy.

Was built in 622 AD when the Prophet Muhammad migrated to Media and also the resting place of Muhammad. It is one of the largest mosques in the world, which has area around 400,000 m² that can accommodate up-to 1,000,000 worshipers.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Memorable. Fortuitously, we arrived at the best possible season in Madinah. Hotel prices were dirt cheap (we managed to save up 4x). There was almost no crowd in the city. The weather was just perfect. Sadly, the decrease in number of pilgrims due to covid has resulted in significantly fewer birds this year. Cats are plenty and are often very playful and grateful if you feed them. The one that claimed the hydrant in the pics below was absolutely adorable and we had great fun with her!

The Prophet's Mosque, also known as Masjid Al-Nabawi, Masjid al-Nabawi was the third mosque built in the history of Islam and is now one of the largest mosques in the world. It is the second-holiest site in Islam, after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. The site was originally adjacent to Muhammad's house; he settled there after his Hijra (emigration) to Medina in 622 CE. About Medina is the second most holy city, and was the first capital of Islam. This is where the Mosque Of Prophet Muhammad is and where the Prophet Muhammad lived. There are many monuments and historical places.

When I visited the Nabawi Mosque the temperature in Medina was cold ± 11-24°C, beautiful, clean, friendly officers and local residents. Armed with A little English skill, I tried to get acquainted with the congregation near me, and Alhamdulillah He understood English, he was an umrah pilgrim from Pakistan, friendly and cheap smile. Then when they had a scuffle with the local residents, their mosque officials said السلام عليكم, Then I replied with وعليكم السلام It feels peaceful in the heart. When I randomly shake hands with the local residents, and said that I was from Indonesia, he smiled and said ما شاء الله, Inside the Nabawi mosque there is Rawdlah, the tomb of Rasulullah Saw and the Baki tomb or mass grave of the family of Rasulullah Saw who are not identified to avoid syirik. Terima kasih dan see you next place

A place like no other in this world, the resting place of the best of the man who walked this earth. A city which welcome him and is constantly in a state of peace and serenity. The people are also very humble and helpful. One doesn't feel like leaving once there and after leaving longs to return as soon as possible.

Al-Masjid al-Nabawī (Arabic: المسجد النبوي), known in English as the Prophet's Mosque, is a mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia where Prophet Muhammad (s) is buried. Second to al-Masjid al-Haram, al-Masjid al-Nabawi is the holiest mosque in the world of Islam which was built by Prophet Muhammad (s) in the first year after Hijra; it was later expanded in different eras. The houses of Prophet Muhammad (s) and Ali b. Abi Talib (a) and Lady Fatima (a) were built next to this mosque, which were later added to the mosque. Al-Masjid al-Nabawi is among the most important shrines for Muslims, which is highly revered by Shi'as.Every year millions of Muslims from across the world visit the Holy Mosque in Madina, popularly known as Masjid-e Nabawi. The visit embodies their love and respect for the messenger of peace, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Madina is his city and within the precincts of Masjid-e Nabawi lays his tomb also.Masjid al Nabawi is the second holiest mosque in Islam, the second largest mosque in the world after the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. It is resting place of the Prophet Muhammad. It was built by the Prophet himself, next to the house where he settled after his migration to Medina in 622 AD. It was an open air building with a raised platform for the reading of the Quran. The mosque has been extended over the years, the latest being in the mid 1990s. One of the most notable features of the site is the green dome over the centre of the mosque, where the tomb of Prophet Muhammad and early Islamic leaders Abu Bakr and Umar are located

Women's Ziyarah/Ar Rawdah is open after Fajr Salah and after Isha Salah only. It is not open on Jummah which is after Isha Thursday and after Fajr on Friday. Here is what happened and what to expect: You did not need Eatmarna booking, they were not using it. TIP 1 - Arrive at Maghrib if you plan to go after Isha. After Asr is best if you don't want to walk through people looking for a spot. Arrive at 2am if you plan to go after Fajr and not walk through people. TIP 2 - Enter from Gate 25 of masjid. This is the number on the actual masjid walls and entrances (see picture). Enter and walk straight past the large wooden doors (see picture) into the "holding place". I arrived at masjid through gate 25 for maghrib Salah (6:45pm). Went in straight ahead to the front where you will pass the large wooden partition. You HAVE to be sitting beyond this wooden partition in order to be able to get into Rawdah. Yes it looks full as some people are there after Dhur waiting. But keep walking and try to find a spot amongst people. Note that people will actually leave after maghrib and isha as they never planned to go to Rawdah but were in the "Hold Place" just for salah. This will open up more space. Prayed maghrib salah and some people left so I kept walking further into the space and found a good spot and waited for Isha. Once Isha salah started (8:35pm), this is where guards started to close the doors of that wooden partician I told you about. This is why it is IMPORTANT you walk pass these wooden partition and into this "hold place". From 9pm to 12:30am, we all waited in this holding place. Please be patient. Many people actually started to leave around 11pm. Be mentally prepared to stay +5hours. Read Qur’an, translation, dhikr, find ways to help others like giving out zamzam water to people siting around. There are 3 sections in this area and around 10pm is when one of the sections were allowed to go. People starts screaming around this time and get up not realizing they still have to wait for their section to be allowed. Sit and wait until you see doors open in your section. My section was the last section to be allowed to go AND it was a good thing! We were allowed at 12:30am. Even in my last section, I took my time and walked at the end of the crowd as everyone else was running to the front towards Rawdah. Everyone now walks through the masjid mens area, to the area where the green dome/rawdah is. I waited there purposefully to be one of the last few to go in the rawdah. Here again, they ask you to sit and let small groups go in. This is an improvement from last time where everyone just rushed and you could not even find a space to make sajdah from the crowd. This second holding area is a great improvement. Even with this wait, I took my time and stayed in the back being one of the last people to enter. Why? Alhamdulillah the guards did not rush you, they did not say "Jaldi/hurry", there was enough space and just peace. The guards knew it was the end of the crowd and were just relaxing and allowing people to finish without having to worry about moving the crowd. I took my time and was able to pray more than just 2 nafl rakahs and was able to make longer sajdah and du'a. Once again, this was such an improvement from before as you got to spend a good 10mins in rawdah. No doubt, those who went before me were rushed and the groups that went before us, I guarantee they were rushed and told to hurry up. You will then exit from gate 39-41 and can let your husband/brother/son know to meet you at these gates if you need them to pick up up.

It's one of the most sacred places in the world for Muslims as our beloved prophet Muhammad S.A.W roza Mubarak is here. Riaz Ul Jannah (Garden of Heaven) is also here where Muslims pray Nawafil . Jannat Ul Baqi (Piece of Heaven) is located on the left side of masjid e nabawe, where Roza's of Sahaba Karam and other Muslims are located. Govt of Saudia and administration of Madina keep this place very clean, Parking and washrooms are located underground. As the weather of Madina is tropical, so the whole of mosque is well ventilated and air conditioned. Almost 1 million people can accommodate in this beautiful mosque. Visiting Masjid e nabawe is an integral part of Hajj.

Place of peace and tranquility no matter how busy it may be you never feel the rush. Workers make sure the place is always clean and tidy and more than helpful. Follow the rules and you’ll have no issues. Download the NUSUK app to book your place in the Rawdah and Que up gate 37 for entry. Get there before your time slot as it’s more 1st come 1st In. Also for salaam pesh I found the best time was in the morning between 8-11 very quite and no rush can go round multiple times with no crowds. Hopefully this information will be of some use.

The very epitome of existence. Back in 1979, Michael Hart had written a book: The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History. He ranked Prophet Muhammad as No.1; a person who really changed the history of the world. In 2000, he again revised this book under criticism. However, he still ranked Muhammad to be No. 1. Not Jesus, Moses, or Marx, but Muhammad. This mosque is the heart of 1.6 billion Muslims. It's majestic but profoundly spiritual. Every time I come here, I go back with the spiritual enlightenment and meaningful purpose of my life. The desire remains to come back again and again. Go visit this place and I am sure you will experience what I and millions other experience every time.

This mosque is very huge and magnificent. There are a lot of doors and gates here. Be sure to remember from which door/gates you come from. Please be there 1 hour prior to each praying time if you wish to pray inside the mosque. Other option is to pray outside the mosque where carpets are provided. Zamzam water is available inside the mosque.

I cannot contain my feeling of serenity every time I visit this place. It’s an unexplainable sense of tranquility within yourself when you come afoot this place. It’s the best feeling of peace ever. This might be because going here reminds you of the beloved prophet Mohammed (sallallahu alaihi wassalam) who built this masjid as its architect, next to Masjid Al-Quba. It is also the prophet’s resting place, near to his house. This masjid as built by the prophet teaches and reminds us to take care of our prayers as it is the key to paradise, it is the way to become a better person and it is one of the tools to clean out one’s sins. This masjid is vividly stunning because of its interior’s intricate designs and exterior’s beautiful architectures. On the front side of the masjid situated the umbrella-shaped shades that are fascinating to watch especially every time it opens in the the morning and closes in the evening. The weather here added to the nice feeling staying here especially drying dusk and dawn. Although many people from all over the world and from all walks of life visit here, you don’t feel the pressure of too much people around. You feel the lightness of the surrounding environment. Lastly, the commendable thing about this masjid is that cats are everywhere roaming around freely. Also, security personnel are helpful and approachable. Cleaners can be seen everywhere and ready to provide help when required.

Very comfortable mosque atmosphere. This place is more than just a mosque but a place to rest a weary heart. the facilities provided are very complete, toilets and ablution places are available in the mosque area. Especially Zamzam water which you can find anywhere in the mosque area. don't forget to bring a bottle when you go to the mosque, to bring home lots of zamzam water so you don't get dehydrated by the extremely hot weather of Medina city.

The Prophet’s Mosque found in Madinah is the second holiest mosque and one of the largest in the world. One of the two most important features of the mosque is that the location of the tombs of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Caliph Abu Bakr, and Caliph Umar (may Allah be pleased with the both of them) are within the Green Dome at the center of the mosque. The other important feature of the mosque is that the reward granted by Allah (the Glorified and Exalted) for prayers performed at this mosque is 1,000 that of any other mosque in the world, excluding Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem.

The overall management by The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques was top notch serving the public and making sure that they don't face any inconveniences in the house of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). However I would like to urge the authorities to remove unnecessary barricades as it makes the general public including older and disabled people travel a lot more in order to access the main features of the site.

Great place. Super friendly folks. Excellent spiritual experience. The Nusuk app is required if you wish you pray in the Rawda. If not you can easily go with a different line to visit the resting place of the Prophet.

The prophets city. What else can be said other than how peaceful and nice Medina was. The people of medinah were extremely helpful and would always try to assist you some way

The beautiful mosque of our beloved prophet (SAW). Something special about the peace you find here. Download the NUSUK app and book your place in the Noble Rawdah otherwise you won't get in. If you don't manage to find a slot, you can still have access to pass by the Prophet's tomb and give your salaams, but the queues to get in require some patience.

A beautiful place to visit. Though staff deputed here needs training on mannerism and customer focus help. They should not make life of a pilgrim difficult unnecessarily. Present management needs a refresher badly

Just been in Madinah for a day and quite frankly don't want to go back home. I feel this one day alone has done away with the suffering, sadness and anguish of previous few years. My heart feels at ease and no worry makes its home in my mind. 💚💚💚💚💚

So much peace and amazing experience surely will plan to go again soon it was my first time and the spiritual level I can’t even describe. I will come again إن شاء الله and pay homage or respect to Prophet Muhammad, saw, and his masjid and in general the faith that binds all Muslims that is Islam. Expansions have made the praying area more wider. Nearby good hotels accommodate hajjis or visitors.

Amazing, beautiful, majestic. Lots of space to pray, security is friendly and helpful. I honestly loved praying here. The green room is easy to get into if you book. It is so calm and peaceful. You can see why our prophet saw loved this mosque

Such a beautiful site of prayer. There is water coolers every 50 steps. Crowd management is exquisite and the place is just so beautiful I can’t stop mentioning it

The best place in the world, the centre of peace for Muslims around the world. The mosque was initially built by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). It has the capacity of 1 million worshippers. It is fully air conditioned, with all the privileges for the senior citizens and disables. It has vast underground parking and ablution and toilets. Muslims visit here as the guests of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).

A wonderful place to pray, the cooling system is world-class and the prayer rug is so soft. Only have issues with the long distance to the ablution spot. The rest are amazing. May Allah bless all of the people who worked here.

One of the most beautiful places on earth. It’s nice how everything is so decorated, and the cleanliness level is just beyond any sort of spotless things you’ve seen. It feels very comfortable visiting. I would recommend you locate the address of the hotel before booking it.

Excellent holly place … peace and relax time in the mosque …. Huge one specially after the latest extensions … very crowded inside “Rawda” and hard to get appointments to visit the tomb of our master “Muhammad” Peace be upon him …. Don’t forget to download the application NUSUK to arrange appointment 👍🏻

👍 At the foot of Uhad mountain, this is one of the most resourceful public parks in Madinah. There is a big mosque in the middle. Plenty of kids playing areas, swings, and slides. It's pretty green, and the fountain in the middle makes it a perfect family place to walk and stay for a longer time. Many...
