I've known Dr Raveendran for 15 years and I can personally say that he's the best in the district or in the whole state! The way he looks at your pet and patiently listens to you and treats your per can not be matched by any other veterinary doctor. Also, Dr Stella, kind and patient doctor also! Currently at Changanacherry, Government Veterinary Hospital. With relative to Kottayam Government Veterinary Hospital, Changanacherry is far cleaner and the staff are much friendly.

Vet Doctors are very good in chenganassery. They are giving the best treatment. Biju Doctor was a good vet there and he moved to ettumanoor and the best doctor raveendran is available there. When Raveendran doctor moves from one location to other, the pet owners follow him. I personally saw his great dediction to save animals. I have a very bad experience from kottayam DVC one doctor and that time raveendran doctor came with best support.

The Govt. veterinary hospital does a fantastic job in looking after animals. I had to get my cat sterilised. I first went on a Saturday, but as there is only 1 doctor present on Saturday, had to schedule the operation for today (Republic Day). Dr. Biju was very accommodating and explained everything and answered all my questions patiently. The fee was nominal and the operation took only about an hour. Would recommend Dr. Biju and the Government Veterinary Hospital to everyone. While there, I saw people bring hens, goats, cats and dogs for treatment. Please bring cash for payment as there are no digital payment modes accepted. You first need to pay Rs.15 and get a token and then wait for your turn to be called. Please note, Google Maps shows the wrong road for the entrance to the hospital. It is not Mahadev Temple Road, but the parallel road which is Sasthavattom Road.

Dr Raveendran is the worst. He is very partial against indie breed dogs. He didnt have a look at the indie puppy that we took. He is not ethical as a doctor. We reached at 9 in the morning and he didnt even consider our dog. He was interested in all the other high breed dogs there. All the dogs that came after us left and we had to go ask him for him to have a look at the dog. He is the most unethical doctor that I have ever seen. Its either that he is not interested in indie breeds or that HE IS PARTIAL TOWARDS PEOPLE WHO PAY EXTRA MONEY. If he cant do his job he shouldnt be working. HE IS THE WORST AS A PERSON AND A DOCTOR.

Doctors available here are the best and the have got good training to how to care these animals.

Hospital is just an ordinary government veterinary hospital. But the doctors there are really dedicated, especially Dr. Raveendran. He ensures the best treatment for your furry friends

This is an excellent place to Animals. Dr. Ravindran is quite well known for his love for animals. Other doctors and staff are extremely helpful and well qualified too.

It is a veterinary poly clinic. The clinic is famous because of the doctors there. Dr Ravindran P is a dedicated and sincere senior veterinary surgeon. Unlike other government VPC, the pets who are brought here are well take care of even if it's a worst case scenario. Even people bring pets from other districts where Dr Ravindran worked earlier, or when the owners feel that the doctors in the other clinics don't care much for their pets. My house is near Thiruvalla, still I travel 15 km to changanacherry because the treatment which my pet got at Thiruvalla VPC was not satisfactory. When I came here there were a lot of people who faced the same problem from other clinics and hence brought their pets to Dr Ravindran P. We also get to listen to lots of humanitarian stories about this doctor from various pet owners if you interact with the people who come here. One such story was about a Labrador who underwent dialysis for 7 years under the supervision of this doctor. This lab was treated by this doctor when he was in idukki district. The owner took the lab for dialysis every month for seven years, where ever the doctor was transferred to....... Both my cats faced near death situation. I'll always be grateful to this surgeon for snatching my pets from the mouth of death. Pet owners who come here has hope and belief in this doctor and his very supporting team and leaves with a smile and a healthy pet from this VPC. NB : please arrive before 10am if you want to leave at least by afternoon, the clinic in very busy especially during Mondays. After 3 pm it's time for field visits and operations.

Very good experience especially doctors and staff

No cleanliness. But Dr. Ravindran is just great. My cat and dog gets treated from him . The hospital is always in rush hours because of its free consultation services. There is a lot of waiting time due to the many patients that come in.

This hospital was very well known. Back in the days, people would come from far to treat their pets here, but now it's not worth it. Very poor attitude. Long waiting hours (2+ hours minimum for vaccination ) Unnecessary queue. I watched a dog die in front of me and nothing was done.Unhygenic . I was worried that by dog would get sick by standing there. Hope some changes are made soon. If you live afar it's absolutely not worth coming here.

They used to be good, but now with a new doctor I'm hesitant to go there anymore. Sadly there aren't many alternatives nearby other than the private clinic at Thuruthy which I also kind of despise. Despite what I've said if you need a doctor in an emergency I've added the phone numbers that are written inside the hospital. Although I'm not sure how well they will respond. Dr. Raveendran is very knowledgeable and we chose to go there because of our prior experience with him. It is a typical govt vet hospital with minimal amenities. There is a private pharmacy close by but you will have to travel a bit further near the bus stand for blood analysis.

Best care, treatment and hospitality for pets. Neat and hygienic. Doctors and staff offer way much better service than other private veterinary hospitals in the locality.

Great Doctor. Need a better infrastructure

Treatment and diagnosis is good. It’s a very busy hospital and only 1 doctor is there. You might need to spent a day just to meet the doctor. They do have a testing lab and surgeries are done here.

Staffs are okay -ok, but there is a vetinary Dr. Ravindran, he's one of the best doctor's in Kerala. So if your pet has any major issues I recommend seeing him.

It's a government hospital for all kinds of animals. Treatment and surgery is undertaken here. Well qualified doctors are available. Easily accessible.
