Absolutely amazing vegan and gluten free roast. This was my first time at EYG but will not be last. The food was delicious and service was first class. Really friendly atmosphere and nicely decorated place. They’re really conscious of allergens so the roast was nut free (made with buckwheat). I found the value for money was absolutely excellent, with roast costing £14 each, side cauliflower was £4.50. To get the roast you need to book a table which I found easy to do just by messaging on instagram. I will definitely be back and cannot wait to try out their breakfast as well. Oh and they’re dog friendly too.

EYG has been putting vegan dining on the map for quite a while and the standards are as high as ever. Having previously been for the Sunday roast, we decided to try the Friday night Supper Club option. It did not disappoint. Delicate and varied flavour and texture. Colourful. Just the right amount of "umami". Healthy. Predominantly organic. Locally sourced. I hope the photos do it justice.

Really great food, and attentive, informative staff. I'm a meat eater myself and was blown away that what I was eating was vegan. How they get the gravy so 'authentic' and the cheeze so melty I will never know. I'll be dreaming of that one for a while. Hoping to go back soon so I can try the 'Yorkshire puddings' as they'd run out

Always fantastic food here. Tasty, great portions and clearly made with love. The cakes are to die for and the Sunday lunch is the best in Bristol. The staff are awesome too and really look after the customers. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best Vegan restaurant me and my wife have ever been to. Not only was the food to die for, the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The food is pure magic.

Lovely little cafe/brunch spot with friendly staff and an excellent playlist. Amazing garlicky mushrooms. Tasty cakes. HEARTY portions. Would recommend booking if you have your heart set on popping in at a busy time as I felt quite lucky to get a table when I went 11ish on a Saturday.

Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch. The meal was excellent. Lovely mixture of vegetables that tasted fantastic. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. Worth a trip up the hill from town. Then let gravity do the hardwork for the return trip on a full stomach.

Best Sunday roast I've ever had. Clearly a lot of effort has gone into making it. Each item is unique.

Lovely place, total gem, what a find! Great Sunday lunch, bursting with flavour, good portion sizes. The team are really passionate about their food and that comes across. Great range of desserts, super tasty. Lovely selection of drinks. It’s rare that you get a place which offers dairy free and gluten free so this will be a regular go to for myself!

The food at EYG is always superb! As we enjoyed their divine weekend brunch offerings, I overheard some patrons at a neighboring table remark that if every vegan restaurant was this good, they would make the switch to fully vegan. We ordered a Beasty, Demi Beasty, and a gluten-free Goldy Lox. Their carrot lox is seriously next level. The bottom line is, they do things with vegetables that are so scrummy, it's imperative that you try it if you are going to be anywhere near the Southwest of England!

this food really is delicious, honestly one of the best cafes i have tried. I had the special of the day - crispy polenta puffs with a delicious salsa verde type salad. I had never tried something like it - truly fantastic and for just £8. staff are so lovely and it is beautifully decorated!

Amazing understated plant based cafe. We had the Friday night tasting menu and was a really interesting mix of dishes. Highlights were ‘scallops’ made from mushrooms and a jackfruit dish with blackberry sauce that tasted like a tiny Sunday roast. Great value too. Will be back!

Fantastic brunch at EYG yesterday! I had the sausage bap with a delicious relish and sauerkraut filling, but tried a bit of the waffle as well which I think is the best waffle we ever had!

I left Bristol a few years ago, but EYG is one place that I try to get back to if I'm ever in the area. The food always hits the spot and you can tell that a lot of love has gone in to making each and every dish. The portions are generous and the staff are always chatty and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit.

Delicious vegan and gluten free food. The Best in Bristol! Lovely friendly service with a smile and one of our favourite places to eat in Bristol. Pretty sure it's the Best gluten free vegan roast in the world. I'd challenge anyone to find better!

Staff were lovely, food was delicious and generous portions. We had Sunday roast followed by puddings and coffee and I couldn't fault anything. Just wish we lived closer to come back and try the weekday menu. If you're in Bristol, it's a must visit!

As a meat eater I was sceptical about a vegan Sunday roast but went for my veggie friend's birthday. It was honestly one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had from a restaurant, every single element was so delicious and amazing, I didn't miss the meat at all! The service was also incredible, they went out of their way to ensure we were having the best experience possible and it really feels like a lovely little family that I think anyone would love to be a part of. I also think the whole ethos of the place is so great, they minimise food waste so amazingly and it would be great if all restaurants could do this! I'm definitely coming back for a brunch sometime soon ^_^

Food was nice and looks well presented and plentiful, but it was all rammed onto a very small plate

The roast is so good. I don't even warn people that this place is vegan because the food is just plain good, not 'good compared to other vegan food.' I wish I could make vegetables taste like this.

Don’t waste anymore time reading reviews about here, get it booked and go and enjoy. Amazing use of ingredients, prepared and presented with elegance by Babs and coupled with great enthusiastic service. A must !!!

As a non-vegan, I was hesitant to commit one of my Sunday roast meals to a vegan experience. I can honestly say I will look forward to coming back here many more times. The food was phenomenal, great hospitality, and a very warm, homey atmosphere.

Hands down the best gluten free restaurant in Bristol. Their brunch options are superb, with a full gluten-free English breakfast the star of the show. Their veggie Sunday roasts are also really special. The café itself is comfortable with a very quirky interior (go check out the toilet if you visit!) and the staff are all really lovely. Be sure to book ahead, as they have limited tables and are always very popular.

Lovely little spot. Maybe just me, but the Veggie sausage bap I had, had way too much mustard on it which was a bit of a shame. Coffee was great and staff were lovely. There was also a little puppy which my son loved!

Superb Sunday roast! Very tasty and a proper plateful. Thankfully I had space for some dessert, which was also delicious! From the four dessert options I chose the chocolate and beetroot cake, which was served warm with ice cream. Looking forward to visiting again!

Grabbed 2 large vegan takeaway breakfasts to share on the nearby park with our young family. Was worth every penny! Staff were really friendly and the food very tasty. Such a lovely calming energy about the place too!
