It is a great place to boat and picnic. The dogs love it. I do not like to go on Jamaica days. There are too many people polluting the water. We saw one large cruiser probably a 500k boat dump his toilet tank into the river. I wish the water patrol would ban them from the river.

Great place for boaters to hang out. Shallow water and a good beach.

Unbelievably great! The people are great! The atmosphere is great! I would show pics but was having to much fun. I took pics after everybody left. Lol

My grandparents brought me when I was young, and I'm blessed to have boater friends that bring me now. The river is beautiful in all seasons. There is sand, but wading around the shallows is fabulous. Fires on the beach in fall are also a treat. Summer weekends are social fun. And any other time is a peaceful nature retreat.

There were at least 30 boats there with more behind. A great place for a day camp!! People were playing cornhole, tossing baseballs, softballs and footballs around. Grills fired up. It is just a great time!!!
