Rating: 4.8 Stars Despite being in St. Louis for years, this was my first time trying Sauce on the Side. Moreover, I have eaten very few calzones in my life. It was a mistake to wait this long on both. I ordered the Meat Me in St. Louie. It was excellent. The outside was cooked perfectly and had a nice crisp. The pepperoni and Italian sausage were pretty well distributed throughout the calzone and not just concentrated in one area. The meat was flavorful and not too salty. I really enjoyed the PROVEL cheese, and I could definitely taste it. The PROVEL cheese, Mascarpone-Ricotta Blend, and Garlic Oil gave the calzone a ton of flavor and complemented the meat perfectly. The meat sauce was also excellent and was not watery. Lastly, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was good. I am disappointed in myself for not trying Sauce on the Side sooner. I can't wait to try their other product offerings in the future!

This. Place. Is. Fantastic! Came to visit StL from Nashville TN, and it was just as good as I remembered. The Duke & Fatty B are both excellent choices. The craft sodas really add to the uniqueness. If you haven't been, you need to go!

So delicious! They don't skimp on the fillings and the sauce adds an important element to the dish. The curbside pickup was so easy. We'll be back soon!

It's my birthday so I decided to try out Sauce on the side for lunch. I got the Skinny V today and it was amazing I will most definitely be going back, don't think twice try it ASAP and even though I got takeout I still felt welcome from the staffs hospitality.....not the best pics because I was hungry 😋 lol sorry guys but I promise its so worth it✌🏾

This place was walkable from the hotel. The customer service was above and beyond! The staff was so friendly and the guy even explained the fountain drinks for me. I’m from the south and I guess these are Midwest cokes and I had never heard of them. He recommend mixing the lemonade and black cherry. It was perfect. I got the Five-0 for my calzone. It’s very cheesy! The crust was amazing! I would give the calzone a 8/10. The place was clean and the staff really made it enjoyable. Highly recommend.

We have a large family (5 kids ages 12 years old to 8 months) and we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and the menu was fun. They also had some great adult beverages and desserts. For desserts, the s’mores calzone was our favorite.

The calzones are out if this world! They put a hole on top in the middle. You dump your sauce in here and it spreads through your entire calzine! Portions are huge! Bring your appetite! Staff will happily explain everything to you. Excellent choice of beers and craft sodas. The ambiance of this older building is warm and inviting. Make this a stop on your next trip to St. Louis! We'll be going back!

Sauce on the Side offers a wide variety of speciality calzones. The building and facilities are immaculate. The staff is friendly, engaging and efficient. The food is very tasty. The atmosphere is casual. Overall, this is very enjoyable and I look forward to my next visit.

This place was a nice place to dine with coworkers. The guests were nice, the food was hot and tasty and the desert topped everything off. I will definitely be coming here again!

What a great place to eat for any occasion. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and food fantastic! We decided to try out I'm anticipation of the new Edwardsville IL location opening up later in the year. We are incredibly excited for what is to come. The the food was very good. It was a little pricey I felt for calzones, but I loved the soda options as well. It's definitely worth a trip.

Fantastic drinks, fan-freaking-tastic fried chicken. We also had the most magical carrot for an appetizer and were lucky to try a friend's soup. Holy hell, 10s across the board!! Can't wait to try more. Here's a pic of said magic carrot #WORTHIT

Good canzones, a nice place to stop for a large lunch or something for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and open.

Absolutely delicious! Always hear about this place on the radio, but we lived to far away to casually go. When I came to the city I took my family to dine in and everything was very clean, friendly staff and food was perfect!

I got the "Spicy V". It was probably one of the best calzones I've ever had. Crispy yet soft on the inside. Delectable and would highly recommend that you try this place.

Amazing calzones in the Grove! The flavors in each of the offerings are extremely rich and detailed while still not being overly “heavy”. The sauces are also very well paired and not overwhelming in the least. You can order online and pick up curbside or eat inside if would like as well.

This is our first time here. We've heard from several people how good it is...so we finally tried it. I love quality food and this was delicious! They're huge...so both my husband and I were able to take half home for another meal.

Great meal. Takes a little longer than pizza to come out of the oven but worth it ;) for a vegetarian option, sub the meat for mushrooms. They also do gluten-free calzones for an extra $4.

It did not disappoint . The food , and service were both Amazing . The ceaser salad was fresh and yummy in every aspect . I don't typically favor radishes however the fine cut and tangy ceaser dressing mixed together made the salad pop . I'm pretty pickie when it comes to ceaser dressing and salad all together and I was practically licking the bowl. The pepperoni bites were delightful . It was super clean , and hip . I loved the overall vibes we sat , and drew while the staff moved around us to make sure all our needs were met . Definitely a great stop on the St.Louis exploration list , and enjoy the art in the Grove while u are here .....

This calzone was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. It was full of flavor and perfectly cooked! The staff was friendly, attentive and a joy to talk with! Must try!

This is a great place to go and enjoy a delicious calzone. I usually get the hot mother clucker (pictured) while my partner enjoys the Meat me in st. Louie. We both like it well done. And I always prefer to dine-in as opposed to take out because it's just so much better when it comes out hot and is still a little crispy. The atmosphere is roomy with cool mural art, however if it's cold outside it'll be cold in there because the door opens and all the air rushes in and sitting on metal chairs may have you wearing a winter coat while eating...so come wearing layers...or sit behind the wall away from the main door. We love this place and will be back soon.

We often stop and get great food here. They always have everything ready and labeled for easy distribution to our family! And they have a little something for everyone! Usually, we have our 6 or 7 (depending on how many of our crew is eating) in 20 min or less! Always good quality!

I had the pesto chicken calzone with a side of tzatzki sauce. Whew it was filling and very good!

Just ordered through Grubhub. My daughter has a nut allergy and they do serve walnuts. They assured me that they can make one of the menu items separately away from cross-contamination. It’s refreshing when a place can work with you on allergies. It’s hard being out of town not knowing where to eat with an allergy. Especially hard for a six year old excited to eat something new. Thanks Sauce on the Side for accommodating us.

Food was awesome. Customer service was perfect. Definitely will come back. Everyone should come here to eat. Price is reasonable. Love love love the vegan calzone.

This was my first experience at Sauce on the side. I will definitely be back when I can! I got the special which was a Buffalo chicken calzone. Delicious! The service was fast and efficient and staff were very friendly.

Maybe they were having an off day or something. I was not pleased with my meal at all, it was quite dry and not very flavorful in my opinion. I probably would not come back. Great service and good presentation though.

Great location, and very pretty and enjoyable environment. Lots of options for a variety of pallets. Tried the Carmen calzone, and it was delicious. Even got offered a refill at the table, excellent service.

I appreciated there was a vegan option! I got the Skinny V. My only complaints are that I wish the toppings were a little more spread out. I also wasn’t a fan of the whole garlic cloves, they were a bit toooo much. Overall though, really good. My family really enjoyed it and definitely would come back.
