Bottom line, this is a very good hostel and I highly recommend it. Pros - Amazing location, a few steps from the main square, probably the best location in Brussels. There are free ear plugs, there is a kitchen, there is a "lobby" to sit in, an electric socket next to each bed, towels and sheets. There is also shampoo because guests leave what they have left. Cons - I slept next to the window, and on the second night there was so much noise from the street that I couldn't fall asleep for several hours. There was also no good Wi-Fi reception from my bed. There are two showers and one toilet in each room, and for better privacy and quiet I would prefer them to be outside the room. In addition, for the check in you have to go to another hostel. It's about a 15 minute walk, and I don't understand why not just put a locked box with the keys inside like in a lot of airbnbs.

First of all the reception is in a completely different place than the hotel. It’s 13 min walking and if you have luggages means that you have to go there and come back to check-in. Staff didn’t seem kind or supportive, almost unhappy to be there. The rooms are extremely loud because you need to keep the windows open since it’s too hot inside. Price quite high for the services offered.

Let's talk about the check-in process. Assuming if you came from the airport, you will take the train to Gare Du Nord and walk 15 minutes (fast pace) with your luggage to their main branch in the City Center just to get a card. You will then walk for another 15 minutes (fast pace) to the hostel in Grand Place, this time with cobblestones. Nope, there is no public transport that connects these places. In your room, you will then need to put on the bedsheets, blanket covers, and pillow sheets. Interesting that they can afford 2 buildings but not staff to do proper check-ins. Look, we don't mind walking/traveling to a hostel - it's our choice that we live with. But we DO mind walking this ridiculous distance between check-in locations, and it should be the hostel's responsibility to ensure check-in is seamless.

The only hard thing about this hostel is the walk from reception to the hostel. Apart from that you get a lively hostel next to the most beautiful location in Brussels, near the best food and nightlife as well. The beds are comfortable with an ensuite, and there is a kitchen and common room.

Overall a nice hostel. Staff is friendly, rooms and toilets are clean. Bed is comfy. I am missing the curtain for the privacy. Good location. But too pricy for that what you get in my opinion.

It looks nice on the photos, but when you actually trying to live there — you want to leave as soon as possible. Rooms. Very cold in the female room. The shower is only tropical, so if dont want to wash you hair everytime you’re taking shower you’ll be barely under the shower. You cant regulate the water temperature. It’s warm, but not hot enough. No hooks in the room. You cant hang your jacket, towel, clothes. All your stuff will be on the floor. Very uncomfortable bed and pilow. No curtains, so be sure you have a sleep mask. The wifi is bad. It kinda works good in the kitchen, but music is playing there, so you can't have calls. In the “living room” wifi signal is not enough even for audio calls when only 3 people are using internet. In the room wifi is even worse. Half of the fridge is full of ice, and it full of old rotten food. No oil and basic stuff for cooking. So take a knife with you as well. if you have any questions or problems you need to go to another hostel, cause this hostel has no staff.

Service was nice, location good. However, the bathrooms are disgusting. Honestly, there's so much mould in the shower. There isn't even just one kind of mould, there's a plethora of kinds! Two colors that I could tell of mould. The rooms are small, which we expected, but the cleanliness is just really not there. I don't recommend. We stayed at a different hostel our first night here and I'd 100% recommend it more.

we were falsly accused of smoking hash inside our room. the guy from the hostel came in our room two times without knocking at the door. some of us were still sleeping. it was not possible to have a conversation with him, he just accused us and threatened with consequences. not cool

I stayed for 2 nights and it was a nice experience. The ladies-only dorm was a nice room with large balcony doors. The common area was very eclectic, but chill. It was a quieter hostel, which I appreciated. The hostel is a bit away from the main square, but there is plenty nearby.

Hostel has two locations. When booking pay attention where check in available for both locations. Both have rooms. Both clean, have kitchen. Both locations centrally cituated.

Overall great experience, they actually thoroughly clean the hostel and rooms. Perfect location. Walking distance from everything. Rooms are a bit small, no AC, no events. Common area is cozy and small which is great for meeting fellow travelers. Good place for solo travelers. Staff were wonderful.

Location is nice but the hostel is not fit. I had a bunk bed in room of 6 and the room is so small and top bunk has no space to even lift your head. There is no housekeeping you need to put your own sheets and pillow that is still okay but you need to collect it while checking in. The hostel doesn't even have a bar it has a vending machine with beer. So if you just have to lie down for the night it is okay because attraction are walkable distance and lot of shopping options.

(Translated by Google) The location is the best! You can reach the Grand Place in just a few steps, but it wasn't noisy at the hostel. There is a difficulty in having to check-in at a different location. The cabinets in the accommodation are loose with some locks to open. So, I traveled with important things. I stay here last night and it was so terrible experience, I live in the top floor and these is extremely loud noise in the room for the WHOLE NIGHT!! I called them around midnight am to complain about the noise and they said they will ask somebody to check, however after 20 mins nobody comes and I called again, they said the noise is from some vacuum system and it happens before, they cannot fix it. The solution they provide is:1. Change a bed - however if you live in this room you will hear the loud noise everywhere. 2. Wear earplug to sleep. 3. Walk for 10 mins in midnight to their reception desk and switch the room. The thing is that they know the room will sometimes have the big noise, they didn’t mention it in the room description and didn’t tell us beforehand. I and the other girl in the room literally didn’t sleep the whole night because of the annoying loud noise! It is so terrible!

The cleaning lady is rude. Be prepared to be yelled at. On reporting issue to the receptionist , he acts oversmart and overbusy while he's doing nothing . The rooms are extremely small. The beds are uncomfortable. Just by stuffing antiques into the common area doesn't make it a great place . It's the people that makes a place great. Hope the owner is reading.

Great hostel. Quirky with antique furniture around and relaxing old school jazz music playing in the background. Spacious locker, comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom with 1 toilet but 2 showers which is great. Shampoo and gel leftover from other staff used and left again in kitchen for next people. Was just as happy having a glass of wine in the sitting room before we went out for beers. Even though you have to go to other hostel for check in (not far at all!) I think it’s nice because it’s like you’re own little house you come back to instead of walking by a reception with new people standing around everytime.

I've decided to cancel my reservation because all of my personal data and reservation data had somehow leaked out of their IT systems, but they didn't respond to my questions about that. I've received multiple phishing attempts (containing correct personal data) coming from their own infrastructure (!) days after they were notified of the issue, so they clearly failed to stop the attack in due time when they absolutely should have been able to. I don't know if they're at fault for the hack in the first place, but their management of and communication surrounding the issue has been very disappointing. A prime example of how not to deal with security issues.

Clean, friendly, good location. A good hostel. Slightly expensive for a hostel, 44 euros a night for a bed in a room of 6. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, well decorated and organized. Great location, 10-15 minute walk from Bruxelles-Nord and even less from city center. Metro station 5 minutes away as well. Service is fine. Has what is necessary. Can get new sheets etc as necessary from front desk Very nice if you need a night or two to sleep.

Quite ok for the price and location... The room was clean and comfy. The bathroom missed shower gel, and it was only a ceiling rain shower, quite inconvenient.

The hostel was fine although I find charging for padlocks for lockers quite unfair. The common room is awesome with those vintage items.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL. 1. Although the hostel has a good location, you have to check in in ANOTHER hostel. It’s a 15 minute walk EACH WAY. Huge loss of time. 2. We were out of power and water during the morning. They said it wasn’t their problem. 3. They put a poster saying kitchen opens at 7:30 in the morning, so we decided to store our food in there until next day. Next morning they didn’t open it until 9:30 am!! We couldn’t have breakfast and we couldn’t start the day on time. 4. There’s no reception so there’s no one to ask for help. You’re left to your own devices. 5. The beds do not have curtains, there’s no privacy. Also, depending on the bed you get you might have internet or not. For all these reasons I highly recommend you stay at a different place for the same prices with much more amenities.

  • 4/5 Melanie Y. 4 months ago on Google
The lack of privacy between beds is not ideal and it's a little cramped, but overall comfort was acceptable. The location is probably the best, as it's outside of the busier areas so it's quiet, but close enough that you can get anywhere by walking. Also close to the bus station for further travels. The décor in the main lounge is cute with lots of character. Slightly inconvenient that the reception is only open from 9am to 11pm, so when I checked out at 7am, I didn't know where to return my key card (could not locate a key card drop off box). Staff were friendly and helpful, and free luggage storage was a nice plus.

Prime location, walkable to all attractions, stylish leisure space. Kitchen and common areas unfortunately close after 9 AM, limiting access for early morning flights. Please refrain from storing items in the refrigerator.

The worker on the reception is a person who deals in full racism. I did not expect that in hotels or hostels two men work and they have racism. I booked and paid and when I wanted to enter, he refused to enter and asked me to cancel the reservation because of racism, even though I book with my personal money. Unfortunately, the same incident I saw in the same hotel with a man and a woman They were expelled. It is strange that racist people work there

*4.5* Lovely hostel, nice and clean with a lovely common area. Perfect location! Only bad thing is that the reception/check-in is at a different location which is a bit of a pain.

The hostel is in the hearth of the city, really close to all the major tourist attractions. Rooms were clean, would definitely recommend this stay.

  • 5/5 Rachel W. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here in mid-December, everything about the hostel was great and blew away my expectations! The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned regularly, same with the kitchen and relaxing lounge, I thought it was great value for the price. The location is ideal too, its right next to Grand Place 😄 Only feedback would be about the building not having a reception counter - if something had went wrong, it would be useful to have reception in the building but otherwise, I had a great stay and I highly recommend staying here!

  • 5/5 Maira A. 1 year ago on Google
I wasn't expecting too much, but the place is really nice, the common area is a good place to meet people, the lockers are located outside of the rooms but in the same floor with your bed number, the showers were clear and they have a timer, so you have to press the button if you need to continue showering, the location is perfect, you won't walk much to get to the metro or the tourist attractions. Definitely a place to stay if you going to Brussels!

  • 5/5 Sukmin N. 1 year ago on Google
One of my favourite hostels ever! We got assigned to a secondary building and that building's proximity to the Grand Place made it an amazing location to be in. The rooms were modern and had all the amenities you could ask for from a value hostel.

Location is perfect. You’re located next to grand Palai. The hostel is also very clean and comfortable. Just remember that check in is 10min walk away but at least you’re exploring the city!

Stayed for two nights. There was loud music playing outside starting at 10 pm until way over 3 am. It wasn't even good music; just some base line that repeated over and over again for hours. I could barely sleep. Location is convenient but Brussels is small enough to walk around anyways. Wifi is also atrocious. No doubt the most uncomfortable hostel I have stayed in.

  • 2/5 Luima I. 9 months ago on Google
They charged me 46 eur per night in a shared dorm with 10 beds. Charged additional "tax" which I haven't been able to find to be true or just a scam. Called some other places and none charges such tax. Organised activities on the weekend: none. Common areas closed at 11pm. The rooms are okay. Showers are good. Cleaning is through and detailed. Cleaning old lady is rude though. Toilets are smelly.

  • 1/5 Omer M. 1 year ago on Google
The Wi-Fi in the rooms are bad! The showers are terrible The lobby and kitchen closes between 23:00-9:00 so if you wake up early you have nothing to do ,To eat or to drink and there’s no one to talk with.

  • 2/5 Jwblondechikadie 8 months ago on Google
Other than the location the hostel is only okay. Firstly is promotes a light breakfast of cereals and when I asked where the cereal was on the morning of they said that they only have tea and coffee. I had to boil my water in the microwave bc the kettle has so much lime build up in it there are white particles floating around. The fridge was so full of ice build up you can only utilize some of it. When you get to your bed there are just sheets folded on it, so after overpaying for the bunk you still have to make your bed and then strip it at check out. It also promotes aircon and lockere but there was no way to use theres. It doesnt turn it on and it never turned on on its own. We had to sleep with the window open on a very noisy street listening to busy night club and screaming all night. The hostel has 2 locations that are a 10min walk inbetween each other, since we were designated a room at the unmanned location theres no way of getting help with these issues either. I wouldnt stay here again.

The kitchen is the best part of the hostel. I've been to many other hostels while traveling but seen a clean and full functional kitchen like this. The rooms were big and spacious too.

  • 4/5 Jessica N. 10 months ago on Google
Very sociable, the common area was always bustling with friendly guests. It was HOT all day and all night outside and inside, our room had no ac so we had to leave our windows open for airflow but the noise outside was almost all night. Our room didn’t have a light, it wasn’t that big of a deal but kind of an inconvenience. The private bathroom in the female shared dorm was sufficient, large shower but the water would get all over the floor as no towels for stepping out on were provided. There is no laundry available on sight, it’s bout 10-12€ at a place down the street: The kitchen was clean and organized while often busy. The common area didn’t open until 9am so if you left anything in the fridge you’d be out of luck until then. The beds were quite comfortable and spacious. Really great place for solo travelers to meet friends and hang out and chat in the common area. Overall I had an acceptable stay, I’m not saying I wouldn’t go back but before I do I will to look into other locations as well.

  • 4/5 Holly K. 10 months ago on Google
This is fine for a one night stay. It's very noisy, but I guess that is to be expected as a hostel. It's not the nicest area either, and I wouldn't feel very safe walking around at night. But the hostel serves it's purpose.

  • 3/5 Megan M. 8 months ago on Google
The location is awesome, less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of Brussels. However, this hostel is very minimal. I stayed in a 6 person female dorm. There was limited privacy, with all the bunks being open. In the suite there was a shower and toilet room. There was never an issue with people waiting in line. They were fairly clean. They did not provide a towel, so if you choose to stay here bring your own or plan on spending 10 euros to rent one.

A very nice hostel. Has an amazing kitchen to cook your own food. Carrefour market in walking distance. Grand place a few steps away. Taking a star away for check-in.!!!!!Please be mindful of the different address for check-in. It's almost 20min walk from this place!!!!!

  • 3/5 Tanveer A. 2 years ago on Google
Well bed and room are good. They provide the Bedsheets too. Shower and Flush both were broken, no towels provided. I would not recommend to stay here. Moreover, they also have lockers too. I guess that makes the Twenty Three Euro worth spending. I guess 23 is least you can get hostel room in Brussels.

Decent hostel, great location, clean room and bathroom. I stayed for a night and it was satisfactory. I just personally dislike attic rooms due to their sloping walls. The restroom space was extremely small though. Overall nice stay here.

  • 5/5 Holly L. 5 years ago on Google
I stayed two nights at this hostel in Downtown Brussels. The staff was very nice and friendly and spoke both English and French so I had no problems communicating with them. They require a 10 euro cash deposit for the room key. The common room is very nicely decorated with a vending machine, tv's and lots of outlets. Great place to chat and meet new people if you are a solo traveller looking to make friends. I stayed in a 16 mixed gendered dorm room. It can be very loud and bright in the room but if you are staying in a 16 person room you have to allow for a certain level of that, if you want total silence pay for a private. You have to make your own bed which is fine but a little inconvenient if you arrive late at night like I did. Bathrooms are clean and the rooms are clean with lockers and the beds are fairly comfortable. Very nice hostel, in a great location. A little on the expensive side when it comes to hotels but Brussels itself is an expensive city. Great hostel, would stay again. 😀

  • 2/5 Joseph F. 4 years ago on Google
Not worth for what you are paying for. The living room is the only thing nice. The main issue is they close down their living room and kitchen between 11pm-7am which makes no lounge to chill or kitchen to cook stuff if you want to stay up late to chill with your mates. I’ve been to a lot of hostels around Europe (Austria, Copenhagen, Paris) and for this price I can get a nice private room with good facilities (kitchen, living room, bathrooms etc) and reception management. Nothing went wrong, staff was nice. Just that the policy and facilities let me down

(Translated by Google) I am very divided on this hostel. ✔ Positive points: ideal location, right in the heart of the main square. The rooms are decent, both in terms of bedding and the layout of the bathroom, which is equipped with a sink, shower and toilet, all three separate. There are also large secure lockers in which large suitcases fit, as well as a shared kitchen. ❌ Negative and really significant points: the bed is completely to make yourself on arrival and to unpack on departure, unlike most hostels. Astonishing. Check-in is a 15-minute walk away, so you have to carry your suitcase on cobblestones after an exhausting journey. No one is guarding the entrance, as the reception is elsewhere, so in terms of security it's not that great. In addition, who says privileged location says A LOT of noise in the evening, especially at weekends, whether it comes from outside or from within the hostel itself. You can attend a parade of people, each more drunk than the other, the doors slamming, the screams, the songs, the music. If that bothers you, choose another hostel, really. Or if not, take earplugs! For my part, I am half satisfied.

(Translated by Google) Super experience in this hostel! Showers very well maintained and the same for the toilets. This place is in the center and so extremely convenient for going out at night. We can also add that the kitchen in addition to being spacious is very well equipped with a bonus glass floor overlooking the ancient cellars of the city. There is finally on the right of the entrance a room very typically decorated with armchairs, frame, decoration to the old. Even though the price of the night is high for a hostel, I highly recommend it.

Positive: - location is 10 minutes walk away from any main touristy area - Great bar downstairs for people to socialize - They have elevators! Negative: - Bar closes at 11:00PM - The rooms are decently clean, but the washroom is not the cleanest. - Rooms are crowded. My room can only fit 2 bunk beds, but they put the 3rd bed in the very corner of the room Conclusion: You are paying for the great location, and socialization. If you like a decent and clean place to stay do not book here. If you want a place with convenience this place will do just fine. Do not expect this hostel to be on the same level as the fancy hostels in Asia.

Check in process is not comfortable - I walked like a 15 minutes to go to other hostel and another 15 minutes back to get my key , with my luggage. rooms are very small, bath and toilets are outside the room and 1 toilet and 1 bath are used maybe by 3 x 8pax dormitory rooms. Anyway, rooms were clean and location is perfect.

Clean and good place. Enough for staying 1 or 2 nights. Something cought my attention was bathroom and shower are unisex. However those are composed by private cabinet each.

Location: The hostel has a perfect location as it’s next to the grand place, one of the main squares in Brussels. Ambience: super clean. The rooms are nice and cozy with wooden ceiling and interiors. If it’s an en-suite, then the wash is included. Both, room and the washroom are clean. Tip to remember: Their office is on another street where you have to go to register, pay and take the key fir your room. So remember that you’ll have to walk for 5 minutes to get to the hostel from the office.

Cheap and cheerful. Great location near Grand Place. I’ve stayed here twice now as it’s so convenient, the staff at the sister building reception where I’ve collected my key cards both times are great. They let me and my friend arrive later than the reception should have been opened and planned to leave us our keys in a key safe locked container and when we arrived they were still there working! Great service and great location as above.

Very nice and fresh hostel with attentive facilities like earplug suspenders and high quality mattresses. You can see that they do their everything to make their guests feel comfortable. The perfume smell in the lobby was a little intense.

It's good. The staffs are friendly. The distance between two beds is less, so the room felt a bit compact. But the location is very good. There's a kitchen too. And they provide free breakfasts.

I spent 6 days at this hostel and I immediately felt at home. The owners are super kind and available for any problem or suggestion. The hostel, the bedrooms and the bathrooms are very clean and the atmosphere is great. The location is super strategic, very close to the city center and to the metro stop "De Brouckere". I definitely recommend this place.

Easy, contemporary hostel right in the centre of Brussels. The host (whose name I forgot to ask) was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were settled and looked after, even when we arrived at the wrong hostel for check-in. Our room was slightly small but great value for money for a short in-and-out stay, would stay again.

Amazing jewel in the middle of the city. Very clean internet very good but sometime unstable. Lockers are good size just remember to bring your lock. Also reception is about a 10 minute walk so remember that for there is where you get your key first. As with any hostel remember to carry ear blocks (some people snore very loud) jaja

Decent hostel, friendly staff at check-in and good kitchen and common area. Nice to have seperate toilet, shower and sink in a 6-bed room. Seems to be not that popular with young people and the average guest was around 30. The toilet seat in our room was broken but otherwise everything was good.

Nice cozy hostel, a little bit outside of the historic center but walkable or have fun with the trottinette. The room are big enough, lockers available. The kitchen and common area are nice. Clean but showers don't remains clean for too long. If you have the room on the street side, it's noisy, can't close the windows it's get too hot, otherwise it's a nice hostel.

This place was a nightmare for sleep. Very comfortable beds but never again will I stay in a 14 bed dorm. Half the room came in at 3am and spent an hour getting ready for bed. Then a group of people outside was yelling and literally howling at the moon. Then half the room was snoring. Multiple people are sick and sneezing/coughing. I slept maybe 3 hours all night, one of the most miserable nights of sleep I've ever had at a hostel. Unfortunate because location is good, decor is very cool. But if you care about sleep and health, get a private room or stay elsewhere.

Best hostel ever! Find true love within! Edit: No but seriously, I met my partner here in August 2010. We've been married for almost 9 years and have very fond memories of this hostel!

I felt at home...I'll come back! Thank you guys!

Unfortunately, I had to leave a night early as I had a major bed bug issue. I was placed on the top floor with no AC and the room smelt terrible. The lobby and management was nice, although refused to even let me cancel my next night.

Good location, short walk to main street with shops and restaurants, a bit more to town (10-15min). Shared room for 6 women, had our own toilet and shower in the room :) Lovely staff, just a shame the common room/kitchen closes at 10-11ish, and opens only at 9!! Maybe worth thinking of a way to let the kitchen accessible? Check out is whenever, you just need to bring your key card and bedsheets downstairs, so no worries if you need to leave super early in the morning before the reception opens.

I stayed here for two nights and was generally satisfied. The beds were nice, the rooms secure the facilities great and the staff helpful. I was especially happy with the kitchen and the common area, which has some very comfortable seats. The showers were equipped with showergel so you won't have to take that with you, which was nice. One of the showers had some issues with the heating though; the temperature changed a lot. The other shower, which I used the next day didn't have that issue.

Interior design was warm and cozy. Each dorm room (10-bed) has a washroom with two showers and a toilet so things didn't get too crowded although it was a 10-bed room. The kitchen has complimentary coffee and tea. The lounge is also cute and nice for chilling after a long day. Superb location too.

Great hostel overall. The only problem was that there was hardly any warm water during my stay.

We were sooo lucky to have stayed at 2go4 quality hostel. Although I booked the wrong day they managed everything and let us stay anyway and made our stay in brussel unforgettable. The rooms, kitchen and livingroom were super clean and we felt welcomed right away. When I realized I booked the wrong day they made EVERYTHING possible sothat we would get a room- we even got an upgrade without any extra charge. Thank you thank you thank you. We never experienced such a service at this price range. I cannnot recommend this hostel enough!

The locations is perfect, in the center of Brussels. Everything is walkable and under 5 mins. The hostel is clean and the lounge is a perfect place to enjoy your evening. Only issue is Wifi does not work even after complaining about it.

(Translated by Google) Friendliness, welcoming, comfortable and warm atmosphere except: On the day I went there was no hot water for a shower, they didn't answer calls or emails... But they returned 20% of the amount paid. (Translated by Google) Hostel extremely well located, clean, comfortable, and at affordable prices in low season. The plus: the equipped kitchen, super practical! The elevator was however broken during my stay, not practical for people with reduced mobility.
