I have to say is one of the worst hotels I have been in a while. Its meant to be a 3 star hotel but its so dated and awful to stay in; I would tell everyone to avoid. The first room I had was full of smoke, like someone had been smoking in it. I late found out there is a stairwell in the middle of the building which staff smoke on. But I was shocked and alarmed when I caught the staff smoking at the reception on the way out too. A space you need to spend time in, as the hotel does not have free wifi in the rooms only the public areas I was moved after complaining, the 2nd room was only slightly better but I was really ready to leave after finding a pizza sauce in my room after I had left it in the daytime. It was like the cleaner had eaten pizza in my room or some of the staff had climbed in the window form the stairwell and had dinner in my room with my stuff in it. By the second day, I was ready to leave because the staff were not helpful at all. This is why I can only give the hotel 1 star, although I'd like to give it zero really. Dated, not safe and endless fighting with the staff

My first night got bitten by bed bugs. Noticed red marks on my arms ( horrible to look at) 😢 I thought I had allergy of some sort but noticed bugs crawling on the bed!!! They gave us another room but the room was still dirty and unhygienic. Everything is worn out and old. The staff is friendly but the hotel itself I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless they make changes to hygiene and renovate this place. First and last time.

Small dark room. Smell of cigarettes everywhere. Bath room is tiny. I would never go back there. It is very expressive for what it offers. Breakfast is generally comprised of cereal, some old breads with butter ou ham and processed cheese.

The room was minimal and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and checking in was efficient. We really enjoyed our stay! It was not a luxurious hotel but I came to Brussels to be outside :)

Soweit so gut.

Dirty, smelly, BED BUGS! No shampoo to shower, the toilets were dirty. ONLY ONE POWER OUTLET PER ROOM, and it's located in a bathroom. Only one key for a room. The rénovation was done in 1950s. Never ever again!

Cons: Dirty. Room only had one working outlet. Floors probably haven’t been vacuumed in years. We thoroughly checked the mattress and sheets for bed bugs before going to bed, but still ended up getting bitten. We had to cut our trip short in fear that we would spread the bed bugs to another hotel. Pros: The staff is nice and gave us a partial refund after we left early. The location is central (although maybe a little sketchy) Bottom line: Just spend a little more money and go somewhere else

Some months ago I booked 3 nights via Internet because I feared I had Corona. But the rooms and the interior are completety worn out. Dirty stains on the carpet and the furniture. I did not dare to walk barefoot... In fact I left after the first night and never came back. A real tourist trap because the outside looks promising. This is what hell must look like. So... stay away and book one of the many hotels in the neighbourhood! Can the Brussels Region please intervene: almost all of the 600 reviews of this tourist trap are negative to very negative...

Stayed here 2 months ago. Disgusting place. This the worst place I’ve ever stayed at my whole life. Dirt everywhere and the smell is unbearable. He charged us $97 a night. We were leaving early morning so we just stayed there for 6 hours. The worst 6 hours of my life, I didn’t even sleep. I took pictures and I wish I can upload them. It seems like the place nor the furniture have been updated since the 70s. Whatever you do, just don’t book this hotel. Only positive thing is that the man at the front was nice.

I wish I could give a Negative Rating….. I should have read the reviews before booking but I went straight ahead and booked anyways, the photos looked like a basic room which I was absolutely okay with and proceeded to pay €170 for two nights. The hotel lobby was overwhelming with the smell of cigarettes and vinegar. It was dirty and I should have left there and then. I proceeded to get my keys and take the elevator to the 9th floor. It was scary, felt unsafe and I then had to find my way through random doors and corridors to get to my room. I was greeted with one of the filthiest rooms I have ever come across. Burn stains in the bedding, leaking water under the hand basin, mould everywhere, the tv even had stains which hadn’t been wiped, the door knob was falling off and exposed wiring through out the room. Even the hallway outside the elevator had animal poo and stains everywhere. No aircon, couldn’t open the window and no fans. I have never felt so unsafe in any accomodation in my life and I am a 24 year old male. I didn’t touch a thing, quickly booked an air BnB and left straight away. Please do not book here. Please do your research and please read the reviews. It is an absolute disgrace that they are allowed to continue operating on such poor and disgusting conditions.

Filthy! It is of course located in the center of the city, but there are a lot of homeless people ( whit all respects, I mean to mention life stile, no offence!) who sleep here, or gathers around the hotel and entrance. No surprise if the drunkards vomit due to hang over or intoxication, you can see the evidence on the blankets and bed covers, which the hotel dose not mean must be changed after every guest. So if you stay here be prepared to sleep in new (hopefully clean) sheats in a bed covered in dirt and dried vomit. The breakfast? Don't dare taste it. The personal are not motivated at all, their standards have changed during long years treating guests that do not care about tidiness and can not even remember their stay here. There is no parking! The site, which I booked through said it's available ( of course one expect to be asked to pay for it) but the personal did not know any parking at all, you are all on your own. I do not recommend this place, KEEP AWAY!

we book 1 bedroom king size bed. we didn't expect the outcome. we are grateful coz our room was in the highest floor and nice balcony and nice view. but the problem is the room was super dusty, smells bad. especially the breakfast was terrible. we didn't expect our food was not satisfying. 2 choices of bread, 1 choice of coffee, 1 juice pineapple and 1 ham and cheese. there is no especiall in the breakfast. we are very sad coz we expect alot of choices and the price of the hotel was expensive.

For 80 Euro single room. A rip-off considering that: no vacuumed rooms, poor maintenance and garbage from the last visitor. The good thing was the warm water pressure. Don’t look under the bed if you are afraid of dust.

Awful experience. At first, it seemed ok despite the hotel being old. I was supposed to sleep there 2 days but after the second morning I found bed bugs in my pillow. Now almost 1 week later the insect bites appeared and are itching. I don’t recommend.

Yesterday, November 15, 2023, I booked after a long trip and I sat in this hotel and when I slept I woke up sick, so now I'm going to report this hotel because unfortunately I woke up and fleas or bugs were sleeping in my bed, I don't know what. type is I don't recommend it and I will file a complaint if I live in Belgium it's bad that you go to sleep and bugs bite you it's not possible in a capital of Europe without control it's really a shame @police

Never again. In emergency situation deep in the night I couldn’t find a hotel. And only here there was a room for 100€ night. Worst experience ever. Back to 60s, everything is dirty, smelly, with a deep depressive feeling

They don't advertise AC. Don't look for it. Glad the window opened. A plus? The gentleman at the desk was pleasant.💯 In addition, there is a mall across the street, plenty of other nearby shopping. Only a short 15 minute walk to the happening bars and restaurants near Grand Place💙🍻 I refused to walk barefoot. Deferred on the Bfast because of the room. Even though dated, they could rip up the old dirty stained carpet and place cheap tile. My trashcan liner was the old tissue packaging (: No overhead shower nor shower curtain. I don't want to be negative but for $122 a night, it was just a door ( felt only marginally safe as female traveller), running water and a place to put your stuff. Ive stayed in cleaner hostels sharing bathrooms. Or maybe stay away from room 42😅 I did get a very early check in...

I was looking for a cheap place to sleep to spend a few days working in Brussels. Nothing special to remark at the begining about staff or breakfast, but my room was horrible. Dust in the furniture, insects and in the morning I discovered that there were bed bugs. In fact I got bites all over my body. Don't understand why this is allowed and why the hotel continues making reservations

Nothing fancy about this place , I had a look even air bnb with share room or the whole place still price higher than this hotel. We get price at 226€ 3nights hotel and breakfast and charge from website hotel, agecy fee 26€ and citytax 12,4€ , in this case, this city really hight tax i must say , We came with 2 year girl, owners are kind :). We pay the price for location. I dont think this hotel make money that much so that why they can't fix all at one time . If you keep budget from transportation I can reccommend this hotel. Other hotel cost 226€ per one night! metro one trip 2,8€ and this city is huge! Walk with kid oh dear! This hotel close to every thing Kfc resturant walking stress , famarcy. You money make your own choice.;) it's cant compare to Berlin all price is at least 25% cheaper .

The room was dirty, staff was confusing and unhelpful, worst part, there was a strong cigarette smell everywhere, especially in the room. The bed was comfortable at least.

Good prices. Good beds. Clean towels. Good location. That’s it, there is nothing else good to mention about that hotel.

Low budget and dirty hotel, dust all over, mold, bed bugs, 1 day sleeping and the worst hotel in my all life. I have still after 1 week rashes on my skin.

The rooms aren't good. The hotel is old, but the location is perfect! You should check it out if you want to visit shops and restaurants because they are very near from the hotel. I do like this hotel because it is in the centre of the city.

I'd like to know where the staff learnt to be so rude. They probably took classes somewhere because ALL of them are terrible. Thank god I wasnt there to take a room but from the photos and preview reviews, nobody should !! CLOSE this hell. It's incredible how a place like this is open in the city center of Brussels

The visit was amicable. The food was acceptable. The room was ok and their were necessary amenities despite some of my companions complaining about unclean rooms and improper maintenance. Enjoyable enough for the fortunate person I guess?

We have booked the place without reading the reviews. After reading them we considered cancelling it but we wanted to give it a shot. We went there to check it out. It was a very old building which is not suprising if you think about its location. It smelled like vinegar on the corridors, I guess they use it for cleaning. Our room had no balconies or windows facing oıtside. Also no AC. It was hard to ventilate so we had to keep the doors open. Oh yes, I dont know why but there were two rooms. I dont reccomend it much if you plan to stay in the room for too long, I just went there to sleep. Luckily, on the contrary we didnt face any bugs or mold. It probably is the cheapest option, it seemed risky and eventually we survived. :) It had a solid price/performance ratio when you consider it and compare with other hotel prices.

Very old, outdated hotel, 24/7 reception with kind people. Toilet and sheets appeared to be clean, but carpet hasn't been cleaned since 1970. Bed was comfortable. Room was hot but couldn't open windows because other guests were noisy (half the time). Would not return.

  • 1/5 Binta D. 1 year ago on Google
I do not recommend anyone to sleep in this place, for which I had to pay at least to have Wi-Fi in the room and hot water, not even that, the only good thing is the location, the sheets have not been washed for months, I have found in the sheets have huge holes, the shower I prefer not to talk about it because it stresses me out, I certainly do not recommend it to anyone

  • 1/5 Csaba M. 1 year ago on Google
Disgusting, unsafe, smelly, no hygiene, expensive. I did not approve the room. I went to another hotel in the middle of the night regardless the extra costs.

The water does not WORK!!!! It would go anywhere in the room except my head 🤬🤬. Super smelly super bad. 2 minutes after i went in i asked for my money back and the old couple at the reception told me i should be greateful because in other countries people dont have homes. What????

  • 1/5 Tamir W. 1 year ago on Google
No wifi old and dirty rooms, no hot water in the shower, and the strangest thing was the cleaning service, which took out my trash from the basket and left it in the bathroom

  • 1/5 Eric F. 1 year ago on Google
Where to start? I paid online. But they made me pay a taxe even if I had third website receipt saying all taxes and fees Included. They smoke in hallways, they have ashtrays in hallway. Would smell it in my room. The breakfast was ...see photo. The wifi is ONLY IN lobby. I was on floor 8! Wood in room is rotten. Cold. Cig burn on carpet. Towel was hanging on hook like someone used it before. Etc. Could go on.... Noisy street until at leas 2. Pros:. Close to cinema. Nice view and balcony

It's a horrible hotel. Everything is really dirty. A lot was broken in our hotel room. Holes in the bathroom door, skirting boards that are broken, the bathroom is covered in mold and deposits, bedding had not been changed and there was still hair from previous visitors, stains in the bedding, the furniture was dirty, messy furnishings and so on but by. First time I didn't read any reviews beforehand and what a regret. We were happy to leave the hotel again.

Good location, near to some the touristic places, the service are regular with some receptionists. Breakfast is not to bad. The WiFi connection are so poor, so this is the proncipla problem!

  • 4/5 Priyanka D. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel is in the heart of the Brussels city Center. Transportation wise very good location the train station is in only 5 mints walking distance. You will get breakfast like 🥖 coffee ☕️ by paying extra 5 euro at the hotel. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy is the cleanliness if that improves it would be great place to stay while exploring Brussels.

Check in is ok and it is afforfable, but cleaning is not the best here , they dont clean very well, when I arrived the blanket had a weird spot and there was a cookie under the bed with lot of dust…….

  • 3/5 Marek G. 1 year ago on Google
There was no investment into the hotel for a long time. It could be much cleaner and breakfast choices were miserable.

  • 2/5 phodiso M. 6 months ago on Google • 1 review
The hotel is located in a good area, but the management have neglected the hotel. the rooms are not cleaned, the cleaning ladies only collect the trash and sometime change the sheets and towels but sometimes you have to remind them to change the sheets. they do not sweep or vacuum clean. i was beaten by bed buds while there which shows the level of cleanness. the whole hotel need to be cleaned. For breakfast only slices of bread, tea and drink, no cereal no fruits, if you don't take bread them you will have to have only juice or tea.
