This is a decent brunch spot. Although we all had açaí bowls & the açaí was mostly melted. The teas & pastries were tasty. This is a super low key place.

We had a delicious breakfast here early on Monday morning (about 8.30-9-45am). It was nice and quiet at that time. The service was friendly and the food amazing. I particularly loved the toasted bread - it was perfect!

Hispterish place with good options. I saw a lot of people working at their notebooks there. Because the place is so busy, staff didn't manage that well to keep the place clean, even though waiters and waitresses were doing their best. I went for scrambled eggs with some additional avocado and salmon for breakfast. All was good, but you need to realize that this additional things can make the meal, or as a result whole breakfast, more expensive.

I live near by and in the past few years I came a couple of times. Doing my best to like this place but not sure it works. Went today, I liked the fact that you can order via phone and the service was fast and polite. But the food… it is so average to below average compared to other places around like Peck or WildLab and compared to super high prices in Hinterland. Eggs only scrambled and they honestly are not that great. Pancakes were really nice. I would say this is between 3*and 4* but just because I might be subjective I will put a 4. But definitely overpriced and overrated.

Very good brunch, generous portions and lots of vegan options. Recommended the sweet potato and kale sandwich.

Nice place to have brunch, good options but I must say not a long list to choose from still good variety. Food was very well prepared, fresh & tasty. Portions are good so dont worry about looking for food after eating here or you can share a portion among friends as well. We really enjoyed the coffee, smooth & creamy definitely recommend it.

We had chicken toast and guacamole bacon toast. Later one was nice. However I wish they had more variety of toasts specially for brunch.

I recently visited HINTERLAND, a coffee shop that serves a wide variety of delicious coffee drinks and delectable food options. From sweet to savory, their menu offers something for everyone. One of the highlights of my visit was their amazing scrambled eggs. 🍳 The ambiance of the place added to the overall experience. With its cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal. The staff is indeed known for being friendly and accommodating. They create a welcoming atmosphere and are always ready to assist you with any requests or questions you may have.

Hinterland is a great place for brunch. I tried the delicious Strawberry French Toast. The brioche was almost perfect, although a bit soggy, which was unfortunate as everything else about it was perfect. The egg was nicely melted inside, and you could not taste it even though it was visible at the bottom side of the toast, which is unusual. Anyway, overall it was a great experience. Macha latte with coconut was also tasty. Service on a busy “Sunday without cars” was excellent too. Loved the place.

A lot of Vegan options which is very friendly to lactose intolerance people. Loved their matcha latte with coconut milk. The vegab pancakes are really good but a little to sweet to my personal taste. Payment can be done completely online.

So delicious everything we had! A lot of vegetarian and vegan options. A perfect place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, on a date or just yourself.

Just had the most awesome breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of tea, but the one with earl grey, oat milk and vanilla was out of this world. The pear and caramel french toast was absolutely perfect and the scrambled eggs with maple-fried bacon too. The place is super cozy and the guys who work here are really nice. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it. Looking forward to come back!

The food was truly amazing! Portions are quite large which makes it easy to split it with your friends. There are also quite a lot of vegan options, which is always a big plus. Lots of space to sit, both inside and outside.

I couldn’t fault it here - very friendly and accommodating staff, plus the food and coffee was absolutely delicious. Would recommend going here for brunch or even just a coffee!

The brunch is crazy good and surprising. The avocado sweet potato was exceptional and the portion perfect. Definitely worth the price... And the Xtra plus: the staff was so kind! We had a baby in a stroller and they accommodated us perfectly. Thanks for the yummy experience! We will be back .

The atmosphere is that of a welcoming forest cabin. The coffee is on point. The brick walls and the grand windows make you wanna sit and let the rainy day pass away. Good for both regulars and those who just grab a quick bite.

Great brunch place with good service in a friendly environment. However in weekends they might be very busy and waiting time could be a little longer. The food quality is great 😊

The food and drinks are very nice but the prices are insanely high.

This place fell short both in terms of food and coffee - don’t think they were super special, and overall it was expensive for what it’s. Also, the state of the restrooms was really questionable so in general I’d not visit again.

The food was really good in general. The only thing I would personally change was the granola in the açai bowl. There was some types of dried fruit or berry which was too hard and chewy and was sticking in the teeth all the time. We also got some issues with the service. We arrived and inside everything was full, so we said we would have waited. Then when a table was free we were just about to sit when they asked to wait for a couple from another table to leave. Te table we were about to sit was for 5 and we were three, so we have been asked to wait, even though we arrived before. Ok, fine, I understand the “need” even though I don’t appreciate. Then we ordered a latte with coconut milk because my friend is lactose intolerant and they brought us a normal one. Also this is acceptable, mistakes can be done. The waitress said that we could keep that for free and she would make another one and in the end I just noticed that they let us pay also the latte that was made by mistake. Plus we also had some issues during payment where the cashier did some kind of mistake and we had to wait for 10 minutes at the cash to let us pay… there is something to improve for me! :)

Acai was fresh but tasted slightly bitter. Peanut butter topping was very little compared to the other portions of the toppings. Indoors did not smell good, almost like a sewage smell. Coffee and ice matcha was good.

Great brunch spot with friendly service and wonderful aesthetics. Came here around 1pm and had a delicious flat white and açai bowl. Sat outside and enjoyed people watching whilst waiting for the food. Service can be a bit slow so don’t come if you are in a rush. But with high quality food and drinks in a nice cafe, do you really want to be rushing anyways?

What a great experience all around. Friendly staff who explained we can find a seat, scan the QR code and pay all in one app with Apple Pay. The vibe was great with good music. Then the food came out and it was great. I had been craving pancakes for a while and ended up getting a delicious dish with fruits and maple syrup. The French toast was delicious as well, with a latte on the side that came with latte art, the right amount of foam and great drinkable temperature. Compared to other brunch places nearby their prices actually made sense 😀 Loved it here and will be back.

Dishes are spot on. Bread on the toast is crunchy, French toast is soft and rich in flavour, soup has that deep scent and taste

Nice star, helped me out with a good place to stay! Good coffee. See you next time again xxx

Though it was a busy Sunday brunch rush hour, the waitresses were really accomodating and helped us find a place to sit after we ordered. The food was delivered surprisingly fast for how busy the place was and the general ambience felt small, welcoming, and cozy. The homemade-style brunch options were flavourful and tasty. A highlight were the vegan pancakes and the homemade kepchup (with avocado, cheedar, bacon toast) and hibiscous ice tea. Would 100% return again!

Proper hip Scandinavian wanderlust relaxed and cozy breakfast / lunch place. Good coffee, would recommend the açaí bowl that feels like healthy breakfast ice cream, the banana chocolate (picture) were beautiful, heavy and something you can life off the entire day.

Stopped by Friday, first time since the pandemic began - and was disappointed to see the staff is unfriendly and rude as before (is it just the owner's rule to not care about service?)... Orders are taken at the counter, and when they bring drinks and food at the table, no 'please' no 'enjoy', they just put your plate on the table with a bang and shuffle away without eye contact. This was past 2pm so it certainly wasn't super busy but the staff really don't like customer contact I gather! Another thing which disturbed me: in this time of covid, they don't wipe the tables and the 2 girls at the counter had their masks down on their chin while making the drinks... Finally: I sat on the bench next to the wall, and it smells like sewers and several fruit flies were constantly trying to share my meal - so maybe issues with the building itself and/or general cleanliness? It's really a shame because their food is good, but you don't want to stay too long.

Quality espresso drinks, very fresh and healthy food choices both sweet and savory. Tables a bit too close together.

Great vegan options (Buddha bowl is 👌), friendly, calm (staff despite house busy it is) and best americano☕️ I’ve had in weeks!

One of the best coffee experiences in Brussels!

  • 5/5 Milan P. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious food and coffee. We had guacamole, bacon and cheddar toast, and red berry and pistachio pancakes. A must place to see if on this side of town. Service was mixed as one lady was extremely nice and the other one not so much. However, 5 star is given based on the food experience and coziness of the place.

A breakfast and brunch place. The Hinterland is for those looking for good coffee and something interesting to go with it! Many items on the menu come with a healthy twist. Vegan friendly. Casual and chic!

Good that they have gluten free bread given it’s so difficult to find in Brussels! They have plenty of options but I would say the lack some more flavour for that the 4 stars
