Kumiko

Restaurant Bar Hamburger restaurant Japanese izakaya restaurant Ramen restaurant

👍 Nice atmosphere and delicious craft beers. We were a little confused about how to order: there's a QR code on the table that leads to a web form that says "sorry, this is broken, a waiter will come take your order" only when you finally submit — but you actually have to go order at the bar. My tof... People often mention ramen, nice, good, great, order,

The ramen was a great disappointment. The broth was tasteless and the noodles were stuck together. If you still order it, it is better with an egg and the pork belly. The takoyaki (octopus balls) were so so as well, with very little filling. The service and the restaurant were really nice though.

Nice atmosphere and delicious craft beers. We were a little confused about how to order: there's a QR code on the table that leads to a web form that says "sorry, this is broken, a waiter will come take your order" only when you finally submit — but you actually have to go order at the bar. My tofu donburi had a lot of cold veggies and not a lot of tofu, but the taste and presentation were good.

Actually a nice place to go to if you like Asian food and beer. They are trying to have modern relaxed style beer-restaurant. You order all at the bar and have a beeper, which is actually way better that old way. Beer is good, but I found food to be rather simple. Nevertheless, is great condition with beer. I'm rather picky with ramen, so I have to classify their ramen as noodle soup.

We went for lundh on a saturday (be aware that the kitchen is open until 2pm-2:30pm). The welcome was nice, the waiters too! You find a table and order at the bar and get a token that makes noise when the order is ready (which is reaaaally quickly). We both tryied the Donburi, one ramen, two side of Kara age (crispy chicken) and one side of gyoza. The portion are huuuge and we couldnt' finish the Donburi because there is a lot of rice underneath the toppings. I added kimchi on mine and I really liked it. We both thought that the rice is too much cooked tho. The Kara age were amazing, so crispy and tender 😍 the gyoza were really good too! We took drinks as well and we enjoyed them. One ginger lemonade that tasted a lot like ginger and were spicy (which is good). And one sparlink ice tea that was nice too. The drink are not too sweet. The waiter was nice and funny, the atmosphere is all wood and warm. The seats are not that confortable (plain wood) because it's more a bar that a real restaurant anyway. We enjoy our time there a loooot, thanks 😁💖

A great place for drinks but the food experience was lackluster at best. The miso ramen didn't have any taste except for excess salt, and left us feeling extremely bloated. As for the pricing: we checked their menu on the website (because the QR code didn't work) where it clearly stated €11 for the miso ramen and €4 for a glass of wine. We only noticed the price difference (€13 for the ramen and €5,50 for the wine) when discussing the price after dinner to split the bill, we had paid a whopping €37 which is €6 extra than we had expected. When I went in to ask what had gone wrong, I just got the explanation "that's the old menu, we still have to change it" - which I can understand but there was no attempt made to give us the money back or even any real sense of urgency. €6 on a bill of €31 is an uncomfortably high percentage, especially for a very very underwhelming dish. Will not eat here again.

Close to the city center, the experience at Kumiko was very good. Crowdy, we found a place in the interior patio. What a nice place ! Easy to chill out with good products, good musics. Decorations are beautiful, nice and fast servers. I definitely recommend this place ✌🏻🔥

The space is very nice, the ambience cool and original. The gyozas were very tasty, the takoyaki as well, but the donburi so so. The staff didn't really know answers to our simple questions like "what vegetables do you put in the veggie donburi " or "is the salmon cooked or raw at the salmon donburi " I hope they improve in the future!

Food was great and unlike other recent reviewers here we also could not at all complain about the service - quick, friendly and efficient!

Nice ramen, nice don buri, but I don't like the fact that the salmon don buri was served with smoked salmon, instead of grilled salmon. The place was quite busy. We sat at the lower ground that smells like wooden dust. Overall, it's just OK.

We came for food and discovered this cozy with good-affordable ramen (starts at 12,50€). Staff was nice and offered gyoza as an apology for the wait. The guy at the counter was real cool and easygoing. Really liked the vibe of this place.

Great food (we tried the veggie ramen with tofu, veggie gyoza, takoyaki and karaage)! Buzzing atmosphere, trendy crowd, friendly staff and the music playing in the background was awesome! Tip: every Friday and Saturday it's Happy Hour from 18.00 until 19.00 (cocktails are €5 each then). Definitely give the Yuzu Mule a go if you're there!

A very nice modern brussels bar to go to Good fresh food, and better drinks From local to craft beers to fancy cocktails In a cozy indoors setting or a beautiful outdoors space This place sure does satistfy your different moods! A must try

They have good drinks but the food menu is so small, kinda disappointing compared to their IG

We expected to have a more authentic experience but we were disappointed by the lack of authenticity and soul. It felt a bit like a bar wearing an Izakaya costume. The donburi was basically a poke bowl and the rice was old and soaking in sauce. Would have also liked to see some more interesting side dishes. The ambiance was uncomfortable but maybe it warms up in the evening. Update: my partner and I both have a bit of an upset stomach now

We passed by with some friends, was a very pleasant experience. Very good food, particularly amazing the gyouza and the karage. The guys are very nice, we spent some time talking and tasting sake...Will come back for sure! Thanks again

Nice little hidden place, they do offer as well an inside court. Food and cocktails are great. Service at the bar.

The bar, the atmosphere and the music were really great. For food I've had ramen which I haven't found great, noodles a bit overcooked for my taste, but we were a huge group, so I'll update my review once I come back!

The place, the food, the music and the atmosphere in general is super Super good. We loved it !! We celebrated a friend's birthday and it was perfect for her, they even had a detail with her..

A great spot in the busy streets of Brussels. However the staff didn’t speak a word to me the whole night I was here. We ordered some wine and ramen. The drink was great but the ramen not so much. Maybe the other dishes would have been better, I can’t speak for them. But I know I won’t be coming back here for food, maybe for drinks because it’s so cozy. The unreachable staff really was a bummer though.

Beautiful wabi sabi design inside. Nice music, cool vibe. However the Takoyaki were hard, the octopus was very difficult to chew and the filling wasn’t that creamy. I also wish there were more Bonito flakes. It’s a pass for me.

Good ramen, rice bowl wasn't very nice. The radish isn't my favourite
