👍 Cute and small café with a great selection of waffles, pancakes and english muffins. The eggs benedict were delicious and I can really recommend the drunken sailor waffle. The psycho sauce is a bit spicy but fits perfectly. It is self service, so you have to order at the counter and have to pick up... Cute and small café with a great selection of waffles, pancakes and english muffins. The eggs benedict were delicious and I can really recommend the drunken sailor waffle. The psycho sauce is a bit spicy but fits perfectly. It is self service, so you have to order at the counter and have to pick up your food at the kitchen window. The staff is really friendly. Sadly, the coffee machine wasn’t working when we came there but the juices are also a recommendation.

Nice cozy place, but can get very busy. I was lucky to get seat without having to queue up but saw lots of people queue afterwards. The food is quite nice, but the service could also be improved (I was blanked twice by same waiter who went to other guests despite me being in queue first).

It is interesting to try your eggs on a waffle, but that's it. The taste was ok, but nothing special. So I do not understand neither the too high prices nor the queue for a table. The coffee was very bad, don't take it. The pancakes with praline was not exactly ok and sure not ok for 9.5 euros. People working there were excellent

All day breakfast - scrumptious. The place, a very low key, basic cafe, is super popular with queues outside, mainly tourists, but the breakfast is worth while the wait. We opted for savoury leek and chorizo waffles with perfectly poached eggs topped with "psycho sauce" (their own, spicier version of hollandaise sauce) - finger liking! You should also try their orange, apple and ginger juice - really tasty (not sure about drinking it from a metal straw though). The staff, as pretty much everyone in Brussels, speak very good English, and were all really friendly despite how busy it was.

Many good options on the breakfast & brunch menu. The chai latte was incredibly good.

Great first breakfast in Belgium. The waitress was very nice and speaks good english. The prices weren’t crazy and the pancakes were great. The matcha tasted off but the chai was good. Would come again.

We loved this place while in Brussels We’re greeted instantly by super friendly staff It’s a claim your own table kind of restaurant and they will come take your order Food was out in 15 min or less both times we went Food was really good and high quality I recommend the Speechless and the pancake stack! The Chai Latte is a must. Price was fair for the area. If I could give them 6 stars I would … they remembered us from our first visit the day before and gave us a slice of cake ! Shoutout to Tasha and the young gentleman with the black hair and a hat 🧢 Sincerely, 🇺🇸

Woodpecker’s menu is to die for, food is truly amazing, drinks just as great, but service in St. Cath. is horrible. You feel guilty just for ordering there .. I kept on going there, because of the food, until I discovered that there are other branches. Srsly. people go to Schuman instead, people working there are sunshines!

It’s a nice place for a breakfast especially if you seat at the tables outside! The eggs and the pancakes are tasty and also the coffee is good but the salad on the side of the eggs was just ridiculous and 5€ for the fresh juice with half of it being ice cubes inside it’s almost a robbery, so I’m hoping they’ll improve those few things!

the food was very tasty) 💯 but if you are in a hurry to have breakfast - this is not the place, it is very measured here: 1 waiter works. we were upset well and this vibe came up) well, a big minus is the toilet. it does not close, is broken in places and was very dirty.

Worst brunch experience ever in Brussels, extremely rude service. The waitress behind the bar is an absolute “B”. I asked for a lemonade and I got what can only be described as a dish cleaning detergent. When I told her very nicely I don’t like it she told me don’t order something you don’t like. She has a couple of screws loose.

Very rude service. Would never come here again. The curly haired bartender lady shouldn't work in service and has been totally disrespectful.

First of all the food is delicious. The atmosphere is awesome. Nice place to meet cool people. They allow pets and we meet the owners of a lovely dog named Peanut, his owners are Raven and Sara. Ordering is easy and friendly, it cost Peanuts… The service is impecable. 100% recommended! Mr. Chill & Mr. Fluffy 👊🏼⭐️💙

The pancakes are good but they need to be more Generous with the maple syrup. They should ask you if you want sugar added with smoothie cause ours came out bland. The fries are greasy. The service is not great, whoever is working behind the counter is just not friendly

After 20 min wait, i was seated. Wanted to order a drink(know the menu). But had to wait. 20 min later finaly the next person came for the order. Was honest and said it would take at least 20min for the drinks and a lot longer for the food. Hope next time it is back to reasonable speed. Food is normally worth it. But not with rainy clouds coming.

Cozy place near Brussels main points of attraction. Came on a busy Sunday morning and managed to get a seated within less than 10 minutes. It’s self service which I really liked: you go to the counter to order, then you go and pick your food. I had eggs Benedict with bacon. Bacon and English muffin were really good but the eggs could’ve used a bit more flavor. Coffee (filtered) was good and warm. I had the spot by the window (I was on my own) and it was perfect for me. They also offer complimentary still water and that’s a great bonus for me! I recommend this place!

Phenomenal place. Food and drinks were beyond delicious. Highly recommend. Place is great, both inside and outside dining available. Staff were friendly, but overworked... especially the chef. Food took forever to come, so expect a wait... but once it did, it was worth the wait.

We cued for 30min. Food was pretty good, it’s worth a visit. Soft bun with eggs and mushrooms was a 4 and beef tartar with egg was a 4. Cappuccino was too milky. Service was great.

We found this cafe through Google reviews. When we arrived we were greeted with a queue and typically myself and my partner won’t stand in a queue for food 😂 It was the moment the door had opened, which gave us a great indication of what we could expect through the tempting smell of food being prepared. The coffee was great and the food was delicious and well portioned! I feel portions adequately match pricing. Everything was crunchy, fresh and crisp where need be. As you can see we polished our food! And just a day prior, at a previous restaurant (which won’t be revealed here) this was far from the case. We can confirm the wait was worth it! And to be honest, we were behind 4 families (so 4 tables) and we didn’t wait an offensive amount of time, otherwise best believe we would’ve left. ALSO- a BIG plus was the fact that we weren’t shoved out once we were done eating. Even though there was still a queue outside, the waiters let us be and once WE decided we were done, then we left in peace. (I mention this because I’ve experienced horrible service elsewhere where you get shoved out the minute you take your last bite and I’ll never go back for this reason). I’ll definitely recommend Woodpecker however. ♥️🧇

We found this place because Chicago was closed. We are travelling with 2 kids, 9 and 2). After a very short queue, we ate and it was really nice!! The staff are really friendly and the service was really quick!! Definitely recommendable. Very yummy 😋.

Super expensive for the quality of the food (very very basic) and one of the waiters seems that he is disturbed with every customer that comes in. The others are nice and even handsome. But the food, it’s not good for the price. The ‘poached’ eggs were super done. 40€ for two plates and greent tea and a coffee. Too much.

Lovely place for breakfast/brunch. The coffee was good and I really enjoyed my French toast - the bread was perfectly caramelised.

Food was less than average not seasoned properly and tasteless, we had the chicken egg Benedict and pancakes and didn’t like either. Customer service was awful we had to ask many times to take our orders it takes them 20 minutes just to take the order and take 45 minutes to get it ready! Even people who seated after us they took they orders and served them before. We asked them few times to take the orders and keep saying they will come soon, same for order ask few times if it wasn’t ready we will leave and they keep saying 5 minutes until the 45 minute time pass. They didn’t even give salt and pepper.

Unreasonably long waiting time. 20 minutes to take our order, another 20 minutes to get our beverages (3 teas and juice), just to mention that tea was handmade and didn’t infuse art all, another 15 minutes to receive the food. Food was very nice and good, so was staff, but likewise it is in pain quotidien with 10x faster service and same delicious food. We wanted to try something new but wasn’t worth it.

Nice place to eat and grab a nice drink. By far the quickest Woodpecker in Brussels and the best restaurant location. It’s convenient because the metro stop is right in front of the restaurant. The service was standard nothing too extraordinary. But I recommend if you want somewhere chill to eat. (Their smoothies and juices are really good

Decent food at fairly reasonable prices. I had the chorizo waffle with chicken, poached eggs and pyscho sauce. The waffle wasn't as flavoursome as I expected, the chicken was good, poached eggs near perfect and the psycho sauce brought it all together with a nice kick. Have to go up to counter to order and then pick up from hatch when ready. Staff were very attentive, patient (as extremely busy) but did not point out the ordering system (although there were big signs to explain).

We happened upon this restaurant after looking for breakfast with our young son on our last day in Brussels. We could not stop talking about how delicious everything was and we live in a foodie city where a wait is a sign good food. Even our picky eater said the food was amazing. Just fantastic!

I had a nice spot in the sun, the peck special, fresh apple juice and a home made iced tea. Let me tell you this, delicious! The food was amazing, all the flavors were perfectly balanced. The drinks were great. Apple juice was fresher then fresh and the iced tea wasn't so sweet, perfect. The people that work here were all so nice and kindhearted. It's ashame I don't live nearby, I would take everyone here to share the joy. One note, you need to order at the bar. For me, that's not a problem at all. But maybe for some people it is. So if you don't want to walk around yourself I advise you come here when you are in the mood for that. BTW, love how they kindly say this (see the pictures)

Such good flavors. The pecks special had great spiciness and the eggs were done perfectly. The drunken sailor was light on leek but still delicious.

I love this place! They have nice (sometimes unique) drinks such as warm cider and coffee&tonic. I like their cakes as well. But it would have been nicer if there were more tables and chairs to accommodate more customers.

Very nice food. My pancakes were so soft and fluffy. The service was a bit disorganised - sometimes they bring the food to your table, sometimes you have to collect at the till. The coffee was brilliant though!

My favorite brunch place in Brussels. The menu is just perfect: the savoure waffles with mushroom and spicy hollandaise particularly. Great coffee and cocktails as well. However the staff is not always super well trained and the ordering system causes very long queue.

Horrific impolite staff that made us wait outside because... Well I tried to get an answer but it seemed just because they didn't like my face. As when we left we saw another couple going in and they weren't going back out again. There was enough room inside to sit and the excuse of everyone came in the same time so you have to wait didn't seem to do it either as most tables look like they had been served (partially). I really don't understand why you would hire staff that tells customers to wait outside for 20 mins when they're unoccupied tables inside. Nor do I understand you would hire staff that doesn't seem to bother looking you in the face when you ask them after waiting outside why you can not sit down inside. Never again will I go into this place!

  • 3/5 Vivienne L. 2 years ago on Google
This was an underwhelming breakfast, you have to line up out front and again inside as there is no table service. I had the peck special but there was no chorizo despite it being listed, a tiny amount of bacon. It doesn't look like there's a lot of choice in the city, but this didn't live up to the expectations I had after looking at the photos.

Perfect spot for brunch! Nice and cozy little place which serves a wide variety of English/American breakfasts. The leek waffle really stands out!

  • 3/5 G 1 year ago on Google
The vibe is fine. It was very crowded and you basically have to claim a table. The fresh orange juice was okay but I would love a bit more for the price. The brunch in a bunch was okay. It said it was with sriracha but to be honest it didn’t taste it that much. So fair enough to say it was okay. A bit plain. Next time I’d rather go for eggs benedict or something else.

We stopped by at this place for breakfast. It’s a small cozy place which we found very welcoming. We had the avocado toast and the magic mushroom waffle. The food and coffee was very good. For our taste, the avocado on top of the toasted bread was way too much. The bread was toasted very crisply and we would have loved to taste that more. Furthermore, they didn’t get banana in the morning so no dishes with banana was available. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. 4*.

Delicious food and a great selection. The cafe was very busy so the staff were run off their feet. The result of this was dirty tables and nowhere for us to put dirty dishes. The food made the table disappointment pale into insignificance when it arrived! Full of flavour and huge portions. The coffee ☕ was excellent. I'd have no hesitation recommending a visit but be prepared to wait for a table.

  • 4/5 Payal S. 9 months ago on Google
The experience was lot different from the grand place branch☹️Felt presentation was bit clumpy especially in coffees.. I felt waffles in salmon toast was bit burnt and had bitterness

  • 4/5 Jovan R. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice place to have a brunch in Brussels. Waffles specialties are delicious and coffee is OK. They should hire more people because one waiter can't handle 20+ tables in a very popular place. That's the only reason the service is slower than it should be. Prices are OK, 20-30 euros per person.
