My girlfriend wanted to drink a coffee. We went to Anna Specialty Bar. We sat down so she could drink her coffee. I didn't take anything because I don't drink coffee and dien't need anything else. I did have to use their bathroom (I suffer from Crohn's dissease). When I got back at my table after using their bathroom. They came to our table telling me I had to pay 2,5 euros to use it or I had to consume something, even though we already payed for a coffee. Don't come here for good service. They did served decent coffee according to my girlfriend.

They have great coffee and they are stocked with coffee beans from different roasters, plus have coffee equipment for sale. However, I did have one bad experience with service. My partner and I ordered a cappuccino each. I decided that I could do with more coffee and I ordered a v60. The v60 brew comes in a carafe and they give one cup for it. The brew was delicious and I wanted to share some with my partner. So when my partner asked for an empty cup, the response was that the v60 was meant for one person and they won't give us another cup! What do they really lose if they gave us another cup? Both of us have already ordered once, it's not like we were trying to "cheat" them by splitting an order and sit around for hours. It's sad because the coffee is great, and I'd have gone back at least to purchase coffee beans or equipment. Edit after owner response: Defending themselves by accusing me of lying has made my experience with them even worse. Hence downgrading my review to 1 star. I also agree with them that the staff does their best. My sour experience was with the owner.

Only the most annoying personnel ever. There are a lot of cafes in Leuven in which you can get same thing and they will probably treat you better.

We came with a group and got several different coffees, hot chocolates, and teas and everything was incredible! The hot chocolate was some of the best we've ever had.

The white hot chocolate was very good, but the coffee was just ok. In average is good.

Coffee is good, and personally didn't fave any problems with the staff. But, it was extremely cold! Also, reading the comments below I find it unacceptable the way the owner replies to bad criticism. This alone is enough for me not to come back.

Located at the centre of the highly regarded academical yet convivial university city of Leuven, this hidden gem is the ideal place to indulge to an extensive menu of hot beverages and freshly homemade desserts in a relaxing atmosphere. The service is rather slow, which however will be forgotten at the first bite of their famous artisanal cooked "bokkepoten" cookies. (See picture) A perfect place to witness a rare, but enticing passion about coffee shop hospitality at it's finest.

The white tea is fantastic. Some of the best tea I’ve had in Leuven. That said, the music is quite disruptive for reading or writing which keeps me from going more often. Other than that, the atmosphere is very nice.

Pretty nice coffee and bakery in general with several options. However, menu of the month is always too sweet that one cannot tolerate the level of sweetness.

The pastries were very tasty and worthy. However we took a white tea that was literally like water, they said they put 2 Grams of tea, I really put effort to taste any type of flavour without success. Almost 4.50 for a glass of water was pretty expensive. I hope this place will reconsider their teas.

I consider this the best coffee bar in town. They have a wide variety of coffees and their chemex is very good. They are also very friendly!

From all the coffee places in Leuven, Anna is my favorite! The coffee and baked treats are delicious. You can't deny the homelike atmosphere, when you are visiting Anna.

The experience for me was great at first but until… I ordered 1 cappuccino, 1 lemonade and 1 pastry. I finished the cappuccino and the pastry. I then went to the bathroom for a few minutes, when I came back they had cleared my table. While there were still my things on the table, 2 biscuits (came with drink), half a glass of lemonade, it was clear that I hadn't finished my food and I hadn't left yet. I went to the counter and asked them, they said they only cleared what finished, they kept saying that. So does that mean I'm blind or I don't even know what I'm doing with my food? They didn't even give an apology. The basic in service.

A very cozy space, the team does everything in their power to give you a localized personal and careful experience. The owners are very kind and honest people. Coffee beans are from all over Belgium and cakes are delicious! Make sure to have a chat with Anna to get to know the story behind the coffee shop a bit more!

Ordered an ordinary Cappuccino here, the beans have a strong favor of hazelnut, a sweeter milk may suits it better. Not my preference but 5 stars for the vibe.

It is a place with a good relaxing vibe, you find very good coffee, as well as very delicious sweets...there is free wifi and a table if you want to study/work with your laptop. Unfortunately, I have to say I never stay too long when it comes to work as there is a speaker right above the table and the music often does not match with the relaxing vibe of the place, also dirty cups stay too long on the table for my taste.

One of my favourite coffee places in Leuven! Super cosy and delicious offer. As a student I used to come here to study, while having coffee and sometimes a snack.

If you don’t wanna lose your sanity, stay away from this place. The staff is really rude.

I don't drink coffee, so can't review the quality, but my husband says it's very good! I mainly go for the nice tea and juice selection, and of course the incredibly delicious choice of cookies, pies, and cakes. My all-time favourite are their scones. They're sooo good! 🤤 But also brownies, cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, ... Oh god, there goes my diet.

Tea without flavour & sour. Cold coffee not made right. Cold brew watery & unnaturally sour… At least the place and the employees were nice. :/

Nice vibe, good coffee, but lost marks as I had to pay 2.50 euros for a glass (not carafe or bottle) of filtered water. You would think that you would be allowed a glass of tap water with a 4 euro coffee.

When we came in the waitress asked for our covid safe ticket and actually read our names out loud. I didn't really appreciate that because of privacy and also it's not very inclusive to ppl who don't want to be called the name on their passport. Even though it probably was meant to be nice, it could come off as rude and inappropriate, it sure made me feel uneasy. They had only one cruelty free option in their cakes, I expected better from a place that offers oatly. It's not that hard to make animal friendly desserts. The home made Iced tea was actually just purple water with way to much ice. It was pretty expensive water too. The coffee my sister had looked fancy. Maybe they should just stick to coffee.

The baristas are always really kind and the coffee here is so good. My favorite is the mocha and they always serve it with a little cookie on the side which tastes delightful. Lovely atmosphere, kind service, incredible products.

friendly service, nice place to be, ordered cappuccino and vanilla latte together with 2 pieces of rather dry chocolate-vanilla cake and had to pay no less than 18.20 euros for this. Prices were not displayed, nor were they advertised with the products. Price-quality absolutely out of proportion for us, especially considering the countless cheaper and even better quality alternatives in Leuven. They won't see us here again.

Not child friendly at all. Also the owners are extremely unfriendly and mean. Coffee is quite good but I don’t go there anymore.

Waited 15 Min for a cappuccino when the bar was not particularly busy. They did not bring any sugar with it at table, but I had to go back to the counter asking for it
