Lessons learned — never walk into a restaurant without reading the reviews. Food was mediocre. We ordered house wine, beef carpaccio, salmon tartare, and mussels with garlic cream. Wine was good; beef carpaccio was alright but it was a bit dry and bland; salmon tartare was a huge disappointment (I’d say the worst dish we’ve ever had in Brussels) — it was nothing more than chopped raw fish; mussels was okay but at best average. Also, since the restaurant didn’t bother to manage the serving time, we got our two starters and the pot of mussels all at once. So when we got to the mussels, what’s on top was already a bit cold. Service was terrible. As some reviews pointed out, the waiting staff ignored customers big time. We waited for about ten minutes to finally get a waiter’s attention to take our order. After the meal, we again waited for a long time just to get the waiting staff to notice us. (Btw, we sat right in front of the entrance.) And when one waitress finally took a glance, she turned away and pretended she didn’t see us! 🙄 It’s funny how the house wine was the only good in this dining experience.

Took the amazing brunch at this place, the options available were very delicious and for all the tastes. I ordered the salty menu with salmon, egg, bacon, cream cheese for the salmon, avocado toast, bread on the side, orange juice and chocolate on oatmilk. My friend ordered a vegetarian option, it was the sweet menu and they gave the option to change the egg for avocado, it had also hot chocolate, juice, bread, pancakes, yogurt with granola, nutella, peanut butter, and fruits. I think the price is good for all the items in the menu. Also the service was great. Definitely one on my favorite places for brunch from now on.

In my case, I can't blame the food, let's say it was good and expected level in my opinion. Waiters are always busy and time to time missing orders, if you patient enough to chase waiters and don't mind to stay in pub like atmosphere then it should be totally fine.

Delicious hot chocolate! Just mix it yourself however sweet and chocolaty you want. There's also dark chocolate bar if you want it a bit stronger. Servers are all super friendly and multilingual so you'll have no problem ordering anything you want. Highly recommended this place!

Food is great, fresh and tasty. All the classics are available and the price / quality is really good. Great selection of beers, good cocktails. Nice atmosphere. Only issue in my opinion is that it is very busy and therefore takes you really long to get a waiter and be able to order

I’ve been coming here for about 20-years and enjoying the huge beer menu and the availability of food at any time of the day (a must for any real brasserie). The restaurant is huge and service can be a bit slow/moody but the beers are always perfect and the homey Belgian dishes worth it.

It's a good place for a drink and lunch. I had steak, which was good but not amazing. The cooking was as requested (medium-rare), and the sauce and sides were ok. I just think that the meat wasn't of good quality, a little dry and stiff when medium-rare. It's a pity. For the meat I would have put 3 stars but it was well cooked and the sides were good, so 4.

This place is in all the tourist guidebooks, it was late and we were hungry, and it did the job well. On a weeknight it was pretty busy, and seemed to have more locals than visitors. Our waitress was new, but did a great job. We got served quickly. A bit pricey, and the beer selection isn't great, but my carbonnade flammande was excellent, and the portion size was big. I'd go back.

Ended up here a couple of times, pleasant place with nice food and good service. As is of course common in Belgium, great beer selection.

Such great vibes in this restaurant! It's located at the corner of a bubbly Cross with tables indoor and outdoor, very nice especially on a sunny day! I wanted to try local food and I got suggested to try the meat balls and I have to confirm that they were delicious (see pictures)! Customer service was great 😊 highly recommended!!

A friend suggested that I try L'Ultime Atome while I was visiting Brussels. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is located in a residential area of Brussels away from the chaos of the tourists. It has an outside eating area and a comfortable indoor dining room. I went for dinner and found a menu with a large selection of items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes. I selected Carbonades Flamande, Belgium stew that came with fries and a side salad. It was excellent, with superb portions, tasty and freshly prepared. To accompany the meal I selected a Trappist beer. To end the meal, I selected a tart aux pommes [apples tart] served with ice cream. It was an excellent dessert. Finally, I ordered a coffee that came a small chocolate bar. The restaurant was comfy, with a welcoming atmosphere and very attentive staff. While the service was slow, it was not problematic. It allowed me to enjoy the meal with no rush. The waitress was very helpful, and the food was superb at a great price point with superb portions. If you are visiting Brussels, it is worth exploring. I will definitely return to try some of the other menu items.

We visited this place on Saturday for lunch. We ordered our food and drinks. After 30 min of waiting we got our vanilla milkshake. We waited for 30 more min and our food order had still not arrived. We called the waitress too asking about our order and she ran away saying yes. Who waits for an hour in a restaurant for their order? This is not poor service. This is simply disrespecting the customers. They served orders on other tables who arrived after us. We were disappointed and decided to leave. We went to pay our bill for the milkshake. The same waiteress acted completely clueless and had no answer. All she told us was sorry. We are sure she had not even placed our order to be prepared. We have been here 1 more time before and even then their service was super slow but at least we got our ordered food.

We were searching for a Belgian restaurant not in the city center, and this place popped up. It took some time to get our food, but it was worth the wait. The best Flemish stew I have had in a while! We had a great time also thanks to our waiter Kevin; his positive vibe really made us enjoy the wait. See you next time!

Two cause the place has magical interior. The rest was not good. The food was very very average but the staff was… for a lack of a better term - indifferent and cranky. Especially this one girl, she looked like it’s her punishment to be there. When I asked about the size of the drink she started puffing and stormed of to show me the glass it was served. She rolled her eyes multiple times. After they served us food, nobody checked on us for good 45 minutes. When we asked if we can have coffee they were shocked we dared to want something more. A bit ridiculous. Such a great location and gorgeous inside and such a poor service and food.

Good entrecôte, good carbonnade, not so good fish and chips. Great service, warm welcome, perfect delivery. Good beer. Great atmosphere, beautiful place. A bit overpriced, good portions, fair value.

We had a really good time and I will come more often for sure. It’s a really spacious restaurant, childfriendly. The service is so chaotic to the point that you have to come with a sense of humour to laugh it off. We also had the sense that the waiters pass on their emotions and stress from the internal restaurant’s coordination on to us. But overall would recommend 10/10

Many beers but disappointed by the poor selection of Geuze/Lambiek. Waiters were extremely friendly and fast. The place was not crowded at all but i guess this will be different in high season. Prices are above average for Belgium but their overhead must be huge. Beautiful, grand setting too. Near matonge. Didnt try the food but i am glad to have spent a part of my afternoon here with 3 lovely Trappist beers (chimay) and newspaper.

Noisy place because of it large dining room but you can eat very tasty Belgian dishes and drink great beers. Inside decoration and furniture composed of old brews and instruments around the beer subject.

Consistently bad service. Every time I go here, often because anywhere good close by is full, regardless of the time or day, I end up waiting a long time to be able to order and receive anything. Today, for example, we could not even order after waiting 30 minutes and reminding the waitstaff several times. We opted to leave instead. The food, when it does appear, is average. For a drink, there are many better alternatives in the neighbourhood.

can say that it is a great spot for coffee enthusiasts. The shop has a cozy and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal place for a relaxed catch-up with friends or a quiet study session. The coffee is top-notch, and the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to the excellent coffee, the shop also offers a variety of pastries and snacks that are tasty and reasonably priced. One minor downside is that the seating area can be a bit cramped during peak hours, but this is a minor issue overall. Overall, I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee in a warm and welcoming environment.

Great terrace and beer selection. A good location to enjoy the summer weather. Food quality could be improved

Remains one of the safest spots in town for drinks and ambiance. Certainly the square remains a romantic and unique view in Brussels.

I almost never say anything bad about a restaurant or chef, but this was a worthy of commentary experience. The salmon tartare was literally just chunks of salmon drowning in oil. No lemon zest to add, herbs of zero quality that added nothing. Horrible thing to just pop in your mouth. The grilled miso chicken probably never saw neither a grill, nor a miso sauce. Blant and mushy chicken with vegetables, zero seasoning and some incredibly random dry arugula. The bottom of the plate also drowning in some kind of oil, for no particular reason. A place good for beers and mediocre burgers, if you don't mind waiting and that's it. No stars is too good a rating for this 32 euros meal.

An amazing place to go. Great food! Great selection of food and drinks. Great service even when busy with mostly one guy working outside. The vibe was fantastic and the cocktails were great (and strong!). The presentation of the food was fantastic and all cooked well, except the side salad. Some tables are too close together, but still the best place to be of an evening!
