Really really great! As a Brussels resident I would most definitely recommend visiting this as an afternoon or AM activity. Prices are reasonable, personnel is friendly and the domain is quite big. Would recommend taking +- 3 hours for visiting. Best part is disputably the indoor-section with vegetation from all around the world!

This garden is worth the trek from the city. It's easy to get to on the route 250/251 buses. It houses as fine collection of rare plants and is a great way to spend a summer afternoon. Highly recommended

Usually, I don't give five stars right away. But this botanical garden deserves it! I am a plant enthusiast and this is the most well managed botanical garden I have visited. I would say, the greenhouse is their crown jewel! There are so many variety of plants from tropics, sub tropics, cloud forest, savannah and desert! Don't plan for a quick trip, I would recommend an entire day trip.

Beautiful botanic garden with a huge greenhouse and a medieval castle. The scenery here is lovely and the gardens are so peaceful. We used our Brussels City Card to get in and spent enjoy an hour here but you could easily spend much longer. A huge variety of plants and flowers in the greenhouse and different areas for different climates. Lovely view from the top of the castle also. Recommend a visit if in Brussels. Just a note if you're a tourist who bought the STIB transport card, it doesn't work on the bus to the garden. You pay €2.50 for the bus (it'll charge €7.50 but will be reverted to €2.50).

This was the best choice to see in Brussels. We had one day for Brussels and spent the entire day here. It's very organized, well maintained and they have lots of species, all of them having a little plate with their names. Information boards have English texts and are very informative. Buffet could be improved... Giving very sour lemonade and 2 small glasses of drinks costed 8.5 euros 😡

Very large botanical garden, more like a huge park with the added bonus of featuring a large array of plants and of course the many gardens. The gardens are divided into themes such as food plants, tropical (greenhouse), medicinal, plants used in dyes or parfums and so on. Apart from its vastness and large array of plants, a great feature is the signs explaining the uses or history of them. Besides all this, there's also a central castle with a history spanning many hundreds of years. The place is constantly developing and improving, putting in the effort to make this a must visit for anyone interested.

What a wonderful site, an interesting botanical garden, a cute little castle plus a big park with ponds. The small parking across the entrance can be very muddy, luckily there is more streetparking down the road. Too bad that there is an entrance fee for the whole site, the outdoor lawns should be accessible for free!

This was a beautiful botanical garden, there's cafes dotted in various places for a respite between walks. Food was delicious and helpful staff at the restaurant which was a beautiful old building in itself. I didn't have time to walk around the whole place but from the few hours I spent there, I wish I had factored in an earlier start. Highly recommended.

I love the place, always have. An amazing diversity, always informative, a great place for learning and being amazed. I removed one star as the place isn't really bike-friendly. The bike park is located in front near a main road, the racks aren't the best and it's exposed to rain. Not super safe. They missed the opportunity to put it against the souvenir shop wall, covered from the rain.

This is - according to me - the best parc of Bruxelles. Take your time because the orc is a huge location with a lot of things to visit and a wonderful botanic garden. The parc is close to the city center of Bruxelles (about 20 minutes by car). There are car parking just in front of the parc. You can buy you ticket online (12 euro per adult). Inside the parc you also find a beautiful cafeteria. The full parc in also a real funny experience: for instance you can drive a raft on jump in a water path.

Very engrossing experience. The botanical gardens are in a huge temperature/humidity controlled environment and cover the vegetation from all geographical locations like the tropical forests, savannah, semi tropics, Mediterranean, desert etc. The grounds are huge and are a pleasure to walk. Went in the last week of December.

Belgium’s National Botanical Garden is a hidden gem tucked away in a leafy landscape park at roughly 10 km North from Brussels. Highly recommend year-through.

92ha of beautiful 🌺🌻🌹🌷🌸🌡and🌴🌲🌳 absolutely worth to see. It's good to take a walk and take a rest close to the nature just next to the city or make a lovely photosesion. You can send here easily whole day so to prepare some drinks and sandwiches it's a really good idea πŸ˜‰

A full and fabulous day. Nice adventure playgrounds for kids, a generous selection at the orangerie where you can have a snack or lunch on the terrace overlooking a small lake, the fantastic castle and of course the lush greenhouse offer so much that you can barely get to see the entire area.

A beautiful botanical Garden at the periphery of Brussels, well manicured lawns, can be visited for indoor greenhouses even if the outside weather is not great. Vast collection of plants from all continents of the planet. Highlight of the garden is the annual bloom of the titan-arum or corpse flower. Was lucky to see it in full bloom. If you like to walk there is a trail of 3km to view the garden completely else you can take the mini train.

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens we have ever seen! It is enormous with a lot of green spaces all around the greenhouses and a beautiful castle. The greenhouses are full of many species of plants, there is a lot to see and you can easily spend half a day in this place. We've seen this park in spring and we'll come back to see it in autumn.

One of the most beautiful bot. Gardens i've ever visited, plants are well labeled and there always something happening there: new attractions, new areas - an entirely redesigned island in one of the lakes for example - and a beautiful glasshouse. If you are interested in plants/botanics, it is a must-see!

I visited for the light show just before Xmas. Outside you have some fires and food trucks to eat. Inside a nice walk across the gardens on a well-marked trail. There is music that goes with the lights and a bar inside that only serves drinks. Great place for families ith kids.

AMAZING! One of the most beautiful parks /garden in Belgium , you need at least 2-3 hours to visit it so I don’t suggest to take the late entrances. The exterior space is already a great experience and you also have the greenhouses.

The Plantentuin Meise, or the Meise Botanic Garden, is a large botanical garden located in Meise, just outside of Brussels, Belgium. It covers an area of over 92 hectares and features an extensive collection of plants from around the world. The garden is divided into several different areas, including a large glasshouse complex, an arboretum, and themed gardens. Visitors can explore various types of vegetation, such as medicinal plants, herbs, and succulents. There are also collections of orchids, palms, and tropical plants. One of the highlights of the Meise Botanic Garden is its impressive tree collection. There are over 1000 different species of trees in the arboretum, including some that are over 200 years old. In addition to the plant collections, the garden also offers a range of activities and events throughout the year, such as workshops, guided tours, and educational programs for children. There are also several cafes and restaurants on site. The Plantentuin Meise is a great destination for nature lovers, botany enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a peaceful and educational day out. The garden's diverse collection of plants, impressive tree collection, and range of activities make it a popular attraction in Belgium. Thank you very much for giving your precious time for reading 😊.

It's a must see place in Brussels. Beautiful greenhouse with a big garden. Greenhouse hosts 6-7 different climate environment such as tropical, mediteranian, desert etc. You will enjoy exploring this place. We were there on a December Saturday late afternoon. It was conpletely empty. I can imagine the crowd in more seasonal times.

Incredible place, beautiful and many, many different species. I only walked like 1/4 of it as it was a lot bigger than expected. The coffee place was very nice as well. I believe that it would be more crowded during weekends or holidays. But in any case definitely not to miss!

Very beautiful greenhouses all year long! Just keep in mind: -Parking can be tricky -Exterior plants and trees change with seasons, some flowers cannot be seen 365 days a year! -Eating at l'Orangerie is not cheap but quality follows the price I personally wish I had gone in the spring instead of summer, but that's my experience

Definitely worth seeing. Very nicely crafted landscapes. Great walk. Beautiful botanical garden. Don't forget to put your name on the mailing list to get notified when the giant flower blooms. The real drawback can be the parking space. Tip - there are two entrances to the garden. The one close to the town center has better parking possibilities.

An excellent botanical garden, with a fantastic greenhouse hosting an array of different β€˜environments’. The grounds are spacious and allow for pleasant strolls to get away from the crowds. Recommended.

The garden is massive like the greenhouse, absolutely stunning.Have some good shoes! The only down point are the service located on sight they're a bit on the pricey side but the quality is decent.

If you are into plants or just want to spend a few hours in nature. This is a beautiful place to come. Outside botanical gardes and greenhouses with specific climates and the plats that thrive in them. You need at least 3 hours.

Very comprehensive timeline guiding the visitors through the beautiful history of our wonderful planet. ❀ Respect! Highly commendable. A must visit. I hope that the facilities could get some painting though. The greenhouse needs some investments to shine

I absolutely LOVED it. Tickets online for adults are €9 and €10 if you buy them there. This place is huge and absolutely beautiful. My favorite part was the green house complex. There are plants from the desert, the savannah, the tropical rainforest and more. And some parts had very high humidity and 28Β°C, which made me feel like I was in my land of origin :') but before you enter, you can hang your coats, so that's nice! The toilets are very clean an we had a drink at a cafΓ©, which was very nice. We went for 3 hours and only saw 30% (I think), so we are definitely going back. It is very accessible too, for strollers or wheelchair users. You can even take a little car (to pull) at the entrance if you have children . There are a lot of benches to sit back and relax. I also loved the gift shop. Very nice things, I wanted to buy it all haha

Little gem next to A12 highway. Great place for a relaxing weekend stroll, although the highway side can be a bit noisy. The botanic garden has no spectacular attractions, but has plenty of different interesting collections that come to life in different parts of the year: greenhouse, magnolias, rose garden, herbarium's, beehives, conifer corner at the back and the vegetable garden in the front.
