The decor is lovely, the music is great, the drinks are good, the fearless hour is very nice. However, the service is, honestly, a disaster. We waited for our drinks for around 30 minutes (there were 7 of us, I honestly don't think it's that unmanagable, and the place wasn't full..). They messed up our order, we were told that the mess up is our fault cause we shouldn't have ordered separately but instead use just one phone to order all our drinks (we would have done that, but nobody told us when we arrived and we were only told after we've ordered!). Honestly, if the ordering system causes that much delay and problems, why even use it? We would appreciate being able to pay separately, it honestly isn't that hard to go that extra mile and facilitate that. Especially considering that some waiters said that it was not a problem and others were adamant that it was not possible. Seriously, the chaotic and impolite service isn't worth what would otherwise be a nice experience.

Chill, laid-back, steampunk-themed bar with a warm atmosphere and good service. They have a great selection of Belgian beers, including some fruit ones if you're looking to try something sweeter. La Machine has been me and my friends’ favourite bar for some time now, until today. Trust me I know how hard and nerve-wrecking working night life could get. I’ve been there, so i never expect a smiling face. I know how tired it gets for the employees. It’s okay if you don’t smile or barely communicate with me. I get that. But I can never tolerate disrespect since it is the base of living in a society. I try not to disrespect anyone and I expect them to do the same, especially in the service industry. Tonight I went there with my mom, ordered 2 bottle of beers from the QR code and started waiting. We waited around 15 minutes but the website said my order was waiting to be confirmed so I thought maybe the system was not working and I had to order from the bar. I saw the waiter cleaning the tables so I didn’t want to bother him while his hands were full of bottles cause I also know it is not an easy task to do. I waited for the right time to approach him. While he just started cleaning a table I went up to him and said “Sorry” and he just repeated “J’arrive” in French a few times interrupting me. I then said “No, i just wanted to ask I put up an order but maybe it didn’t go through” and he answered “I know that’s why I said I’m coming” in the rudest way possible. I felt so belittled by his attitude and words. I understand French a bit but I could be a person that doesn’t so why would you get angry if i didn’t understand what you meant?He might be having a rough day, nevertheless that is never the way to communicate with a person, most particularly a guest. I felt so disrespected and angry and just took my mom to another bar that was just on the opposite direction. I could see that those servers were also very tired and sleepy but they did treat us like guests. As I mentioned before, I don’t expect smiling faces but I can never tolerate that type of disrespectful behaviour. I am not planning to go there ever again.

So we were there last Friday, it was full of people, but no security what se ever, shame. 7 people lost phones on the same night, Not very safe environment for such a good rated and pricy bar, hence 1 star. PS. I can't fully blame the bar for allowing all, even without buying drinks, but there should be sense of responsibility, with them. If i as a person is there for having some good time, i trust them with basic security.

At the place you suppose to order drinks at a separate counter and than get them at the bar with a bill from your purchase. Ordered drinks, didn’t get any bill. After some waiting time went to ask and went with a cashier to the downstairs bar and got the cheaper drink than I ordered. I loved the decor but for the price i would expect at least clean tables ! I asked twice if the tables could be cleaned as while i was sitting i put my hand in a spilled beer on the table. Twice I was told it would be cleaned when our order would be served... so we waited and then came our drink we had to ask again and it was done so badly that again my arm landed in a beer spill, wetting my whole sleeve. The decor makes it hard to clean I understand but you shoukd then take extra precautions.... too expensive and too dirtty. Never again.
