Edit 08/06/2023: I have to change my review for the worse unfortunately and it's a long one, so bear with me. I'm a regular customer who really liked the place but after the ownership structure changed recently, the quality of the service and the menu deteriorated. Gone are the friendly waiters and cook who knew their job well, and came with a smile to ask if the food was good. Nowadays there are always different students working who are not really trained and mistakes happen often, not to mention that some are rude, and the waiting time to order can be long. Gone is any kind of table service, you used to order at the bar but would get your order brought to the table, now you get a buzzer to collect your order. Be sure to check with them if the wait time seems inordinately long, sometimes they forget an order. Gone is the awesome Pinsa Romana, pistolet with coppa or goat cheese, and so many more dishes. No more salad side dish with a burger, now you can get only like half a kilo of fries for 5€ (seriously, who needs so much fries!). Gone is the large beer selection and the food menu is severely reduced, with burgers and fries the only "solid" choice. I used to come there almost every day to eat but now I may come once a week because there's just not enough variety. Basically everything you see in photos of this place, all the nice food, is simply gone. Gone are also the nice wooden coffee trays with chocolate, sugar and a glass of water on the side, now you just get a coffee cup at the bar, once I didn't even get a saucer. Not sure if the coffee brand changed too because it didn't taste as nice as before, last time, but that could just be due to the barista, or lack of a proper one. Anyway, though it's understandable that the new management wants to maximize profits, it still hurts to see a charming resto-bar turn into a bland burger factory. I hope you take this review to heart and work to improve the offer, the variety, and quality of service. If you sort the reviews by date, you can see that it's mostly bad ones in the last month or so, while before it was mostly positive, so take something out of it and change the direction you're taking this place in, before its reputation is ruined. Old review: 4 stars Very good food, nice laid-back atmosphere and music, casual and friendly service staff. Would recommend the soup and pinsa or pistolet for lunchtime. Also, great coffee!

Disappointing. Overpriced drinks and food. Self--service at the bar, even for food, with a really busy staff who is not at all concerned about providing quick service. This can be even more annoying when you have to pump your own ketchup and mayo in a cup by the bar (fast food style self-service with restaurant-style prices). Burguer os served with a thick bread, but not too much. Definitely not the best fries you'll eat in Brussels.

The place has changed. Forget about menu’s you could see before and square tables. These are now round shape little tables and menu is very small. More on the bite side. But very tasty, high quality food. Service is very friendly and prices are decent.

Empty DJ booth, playing the most depressing songs ever. They had a whole line up for the weekend and when the DJs left, they gave us the most sad songs ever. We complained 2 times and nothing worked. Price is OK, but nothing special. Waiters are a bit uptight. Nice location though!

Looks cute, but the the staff wasn’t helpful. I sat outside for a bit, then they told me I could only order inside - to then only learn that the kitchen is closed between 2-6, and there where no signs to learn this.

Nice drinks (softs and cocktails), spacious place, tasty snacks. Service is very agile, you can order and pay through your mobile or at the counter and it was quite quick to get the orders. Recommended for friends gatherings and chill.

Flamingo is really awesome in several ways. The beer selection is good, and you can find your favorites here or try new ones. The food options are reasonable and everything I've had was very tasty. Those fries are especially good and of course they go great with any of the beers. They have lots of tables and you can reserve them too! Finally, the staff is friendly and nice. Totally recommended and a staple of this part of town.

Another lovely building both inside and out, great open spaces inside make you feel comfortable even when busy. We had frites and the houmous, and both were lovely. Finished our visit off with a few cocktails

My utmost respect to the staff, despite the crowd they manage to treat every customer with all the attention you need, even advising on their specials and always with a smile with the Brussels spirit you expect from a place like this. Highly recommended!

it sucked. the waiter wanted to control my covid safe ticket on the spot but was not interested in serving me, he told me to use the app for that.
