It's one of the best restaurants i have been in, real gem to be fair. Its located in grand place so at the heart of the city ❤️ We had mussels for a starters and main course was beef tartare, pork joint and vegetrarian lasagnia. All was amazing 👏 staff was very helpfull in guiding through the menuu and help to choose the best meals. Thank you so much!!

We had dinner there and ordered Cheese croquette, mussels in white wine and sausages country style. Mussels were amazingly delicious, tender and fluffy, tasty and I just can't stop eating it. Sausages were good as well and cheese croquette were nice, although the tasted of the cheese wasn't our favorite but I like the crispiness of the croquette's skin. Lovely view, friendly staff and overall was a very nice experience. A bit overpriced for the 2 cheese croquette comparing to the tastefully pot of mussels. Would like to come back there again!

Such a wonderful place to take in the experience of being in teh Grand Place in Brussels. We opted to sit inside. Such a cozy, quaint feeling to be inside this restaurant. For appetizers, we selected the shrimp scampi and shrimp croquettes. We opted for the Ghent Waterzooi, the black and white pudding, and the pan fried beef steak for the entrees Enjoy and soak up all Brussels has to offer!

Good restaurant with fair prices right in the main square. The food was tasty - perhaps a little bland but nothing a little salt can’t fix! We sat outside with a great view but the inside is a so unique with the cave-like feel. We opted for the tattoo all potatoes rather than the frites and they were good!

Nice place for some authentic Belgian food. Have been there twice and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered their Local dishes- Meatballs and Beef & onion stew in beer, both dishes were delicious and perfect. Service was nice, fast and friendly despite it being a full house. This place is in a basement giving a bit of rustic vibe. Give it a try if you are around!! Do remember to book a table in advance, this place is usually fully booked.

Excellent and polite service, very professional crew. We enjoyed the mussel pot with garlic and white wine, one of the best we had on the trip! Online reservations highly recommended. Do get the spring chicken, it is very tender. Overall, a great place for locals and tourists alike, with wonderful cozy tavern atmosphere.

A nice local restaurant that serves excellent traditional Belgique cuisine. The milieu is great, a bit dark, but it's a good place to hangout with friends or even a date 😀 the servers are very friendly and hospitable, service is good. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Cool place! Feels like you are in a cave. The beer menu was lacking. The food is prepared right there next to you which is cool to see (open kitchen). The quality of food was good but ultimately it was not especially more delicious than other restaurants. Good experience overall though.

From the moment we arrived, the greeting was warm. This place is a hidden gem and feels like you're in a wine cellar with the exposed brick and appropriate lighting to make for a perfect atmosphere. Both the food and service were excellent. The traditional beef stew was delicious and had a nice sweetness to it. The bread is the best we've had and the meatballs were so tasty! Highly recommend!!!!

This restaurant is located in an absolutely awesome location in Grand Place. We stopped off for some beers and had a great time. The staff was incredibly nice. Cannot wait to visit again.

I like the vibe, the food and the service. It is clearly on the more expensive side of the food places, however, giving the location it is rather expected. We got tomato soup. The texture was very distinct but nice. Great one. And we also got a rabbit. It was tender and tasteful. And the bread was amazing.

A really good experience. They had given away our table but managed to seat us anyway. Food was very good - a giant bucket of mussels went down very well. More importantly they looked after a friend who was observing Ramadan - bringing him some dates as soon as his fast was broken. Really good customer service, and a great view of the Grand Place

The food was good, but the fries were served very hot, which I find inappropriate. It's a nice, small, basement setting, so you'll need reservation in the evenings. The personal was welcoming and kind.

Amazing food: we hade chicken with mushrooms and Belgium potatos. These were the best Belgium potatos we’ve ever tried. They have some local sauce brand and it gave some extra flavor to the potatos. Was easy to seat and service were great. No difficulty in speaking English. Beer and food came fastly. The view is amazing since you can enjoy the Grand-Place while have your beer or meal.

Located in the main square but once you enter the subterranean restaurant, you don't feel the hustle and bustle of tourists admiring the beauty of the buildings on the square. The restaurant is not very big and we booked a table the day before. They have menus in English, but our waiter also took time to explain the dishes further. They have a kids menu which was reasonably priced. The meatballs were delicious, but my trio of croquettes were ok. For €25, the croquettes were overpriced. The salmon one was more potato than salmon. My husband had the blood pudding sausage and a traditional one which he enjoyed. The fries were hot and crispy though I hadn't had one bad fry the entire time in Brussels. Recommended for the good traditional Belgium food.

Great place at the beautiful Grand Place. They have outdoor and indoor seating, but watch your head if you're going inside, the door is very low! The inside part is in a cellar with a very cool atmosphere. Staff are fast and friendly and the food was very good. Not as expensive as I'd have expected in a beautiful spot like this!

We had an amazing dinner and experience at this restaurant last night. The staff very kindly offered our party of seven a table inside, just before three hours of heavy rain began. The service was spectacular and the food was amazing; the mussels, beef stew, and the Belgian steak were the favorites. There was a nice selection of Belgian beers and a wide variety of cocktails. We can't wait to return on a nicer day when we can enjoy the beautiful view of Grand Place from the terrace!

Very welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Local dishes which were all very tasty. It was busy and it's not very big, so I would definitely recommend booking beforehand

It's a cozy restaurant with interesting food. The place inside is great, a little dark, but you can feel like in other times and outside is nice if the weather allows it. The food is interesting, it definitely looks like the have very ancient recipes. I specially recommend the beef with onions, it was very delicious! In the other hand, I don't recommend the rabbit, unless you like very sweet dishes, because it is too sweet.

Lovely restaurant in the main plaza, nice ambience with a flashback to a tavern or long ago. Fair prices, varied menu with traditional dishes. Knowledgeable and helpful staff that are very attentive.

The restaurant has a nice location and it's okay for a quick bite but unfortunately I can't say that the food was amazing or memorable. - I ordered the mussels with butter and garlic sauce. They were okay, but I didn't really taste the garlic anywhere. The sauce/broth was quite flavourless. The fries were good. - My partner ordered the meatballs which were okay - It took the food quite a while to arrive. The restaurant was almost empty when we ordered yet it took more than 30-40 minutes until the food came. There were people that arrived after us and got the food faster Overall, I can't say I fully enjoyed the experience unfortunately. We definitely had lunch at better (and even cheaper) restaurants in the area.

Overall, I truly can not complain about or experience. The horse steak was wonderful! My mussels were a bit underwhelming, but the onion soup and table bread made up for that. My spouse would rank the horse steak as in the "top 3 steaks" he's ever had. We were seated quickly without reservations, and there were multiple things our 8 and 10 year old daughters could eat. Let me add that the atmosphere also adds to the experience!

Tasty food, but a little expensive. Service is nice, but always seems in a hurry. Liked the meat balls. Clean but small toilets.

Very cute place. The horse steak is amazing. A table without a reservation isnt recommended though. For inside, we only got an hour time. The service is polite. The mushroom sauce is a bit bland. The waitress asked if I wanted sauce after I ordered which was very nice at first, but for 5€ extra, which I only found out when the bill arrived. A warning eould have been nice. So a bit much and not worth the taste. 3€ up price would be fine. But definetly worth the try. Would recommend.

Good food. Good service. Prices were a bit high, but food and beer quality considered, it was worth it. I had the bowl of chicken and veggies (forget the name), but it was hot, creamy and very satisfying. My family had multiple dishes and we were all satisfied and would go back in an instant. We even talked about which meals we liked the best for our whole trip and this one came up a few times. Located right off the "Grand Place" next to a place called "the cave". I wanted to go into "the cave" but my daughter didn't want to, so we went here and we're glad we made that decision. Good beer too!

Traditional Belgium restaurant at Grand Place. Tried Mussels with white wine and Meatballs Marolienne style, both of which tasted really good!! Chips (French fries) and breads were also served. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very welcoming and enjoyable👍

The only good thing, the service. The worst thing: the so called crepes. Is no crepes, is no pancakes, the sugar is no sugar the crepes are somekind of bad dough. Less than half eaten and my stomach started to complain. The main course is decent, not out of the ordinary but decent. Killing a french dish that I love is worth less than one star. Please, take the crepes out of the menu.

The food was good but not memorable. Although the place is cozy, our clothes ended up smelling of food. It's a good alternative around the area but not a must.

Pretty decent food, great location. The carbonnade and frites was tasty, but not quite outstanding and a bit pricey (-1 star). The sausage plate was likewise decent but somewhat uninspired. Service was decent. I’m not sure I’d rush to return given the plethora of dining options in the area nor would I go out of my way to dine here, but if you’re looking for classic Belgian dining off the Grand Place, this is a reasonable destination.

Absolutely fabulous place. Food is good. Not amazing but good. Prices are decent considering the location. Service is super great. Staff is always on the outlook to ensure you are comfortable and need nothing. The decor and the service together suffice to leave an excellent impression and a great moment to remember with so much to visit right by the front door or simply if weather permits by eating on the terrace. I would gladly go back if in Brussels again. Highly recommended

Really good authentic food ! I ordered the waterzooi and the portions were huge for one person!! The restaurant is underground and gives the feeling of a cave. Little expensive compared to other restaurants and also located right near the main square.

Traditional restaurant born in 1978 from an 17° century cave. Amazing cuisine with different kind of offers. As the traveler's book says I had to try la Carbonade flamande, typical Fiandre dish. High quality and good prices for the central location. I pay 30€ for 1 Carbonade, 1/2 lt of beer and tips included. Professional waitress and friendly. Hope se you soon

The location of this place is great! It is in the Grand Place square. The place has a very nice vibe. From the terrace and first floor window tables you can enjoy the astonishing view of Grand Place together with your meal. The view is absolutely amazing! The basement tables are cozy and makes you feel like you are back in the past. Staffs are very friendly and hospitable and speaks good English. This place serve typical Belgian dishes. I tried rabbit with Gueuze sause (Konijn met Gueuze) and it was okay. I think they could have done it better! I also tried salmon and the sauce was very good. Both the dishes came with a nice portion of fries which were delicious. If you are a fries person then it is "crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside" kind. The thing I didn't like at all about this place was the toilets. Those were not clean at all!

Food is very tasty. We tried the duo croquettes, scampi with garlic and salmon. Everything was perfect. The restaurant has a nice authentic vibe. And the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend

It is an amazing place do dine in, both inside that looks like a cave or outside with a beautiful view of the grand place! I loved the meal which was a salmon with sauce, it was divine 😋, the staff was friendly and professionals, the chef was just incredible!!The only con was the toilet, pooly toilet that u share man/woman, and was really dirty.
