Chanced upon Spago while foraging local spots with delicious home-delivered pasta and boy, was I happy! Ordered this heavenly plate of tagliatelle al funghi e tartufo and it absolutely made my Sunday evening. I’m certainly visiting their restaurant soon to try more from their menu!

I am a true foodie at heart however the staff and the aura they display at any restaurant is almost as important as the epicurean experience. I walked into a very bustling Spago earlier in the week and the manager was kind enough to find me a single seat quickly . The restaurant puts out a wonderful and versatile menu in a timely fashion with a touch of local flare. Moderate noise level, wonderful service, fantastic food.. I travel way too frequently and live in a town renowned for restaurants ( Beverly Hills, California) and this Spago would immediately be a hit.. I encourage you to come visit Spago, sip her wine, enjoy her pasta and observe the very nice crowds that patronize this delight when in the area. You cannot go wrong .

Just happened upon this restaurant while walking around Brussels and decided to try it. Big surprise, great pizza and fantastic salads. I ordered a Pizza Margherita and loved the pizza. The crust and sauce were great, the cheese tasted very fresh. Fantastic pizza. My partner ordered a Caprese Salad and really enjoyed the mix of tomato with fresh Mozzarella. Sitting outside was nice and the service is excellent.

February 2024 5* Visited the place with colleague for dinner. There is both indoor and outdoor sitting options. The place can be little tight as they try to sell each inch. I tired Primavera Pizza which was amazing. You can also order salad or pasta as well. I also ordered fries but did not like them.

Went for Sunday lunch. Was not busy which I don’t mind. Prefer quiet places, when lucky. The waiter was kind and friendly. I’m sure if he wasn’t wearing a mask we would see his smile. The bruschetta was really good. Garlic was not overpowering. Good balance with the diced tomatoes, sliver of Parmesan with a small dollop of pesto. Added some salad of rucola and salad. The tagliatelle bolognese was meaty and hearty. Took the tagliatelle with smoked salmon. Very tasty! Nice plentiful portions. We were offered some iced limoncello which was refreshing for after meal digestive. The pizzas looked good too! Would definitely go back and also recommend.

2022 I visited again after three years. Still perfect. 5/5 stars 2019 Perfect 🍕. Traditional recipe. I would highly recommended it for everyone who wants to eat Italian tastes at the heart of Bruxelles. Friendly staff . The restaurant is well located. Funghi pizza was excellent. Normal prices.

Top class authentic Italian restaurant with outstanding service - the best we tried in Brussels. We ordered four cheese pizza, red sauce spaghetti and calamari - really high quality food, very impressive! We were told the chefs are Italian and the food ingredients are expensive, sourced from Italy. The interiors are beautiful, the staff are very friendly, helpful and humble. We ate at A L’ANGOLO the night before, it would be a shame to even compare the two - Spago is on a completely different level.

We got the Spago recommended by someone who visits Brussels more regularly than we do. And we needed a restaurant close to the AB for a concert, and early as well. We were not disappointed. Very friendly waiters, a cosy atmosphere and very good food. We had a negroni for aperitif and ordered our food, the waiter asked if they should wait with the food until we finished the aperitif - very attentive! As main course we had both penne arrabiata with scampi. My wife really loved the dish, the sauce was perfect. Afterwards we had a coffee and a tiramisu to share, also very, very good. We'll return here !!!

Nothing special for this restaurant! The food is just above average but if you looking for something quick is ok. But the cooking is pasta was unexpectedly good!

It's extremely rare that I rate ***** , I don't even recall when was the last time but in this place everything is truelly great . Food is of excellent quality & really not expensive . Interior is cosy with very comfortable seats , something also becoming rare , many restaurants don't give enough attention to the furnishings and space , this contributes a lot to the quality of the general experience. Besides this the personnel is professional and very friendly. I don't know all the Italian restaurants in Brussels but so far this is my favourite. if you happen to be in the heart of Brussels , near St-Catherine , the Bourse or Grand-Place , this is the place to eat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nice restaurant in a very central location even though I think it would be nicer in summer with outer tables. I ordered some bruschettas (quite good) and then I tried a Carbonara. It was a quite big plate but It was missing a bit of salt and, above all, not very good as Carbonara (I think they used cream). So, overall, and also considering the price, I was expecting much better food.

literally went there 2 days in a row, delicious food, pizza is also rather big, so you can share it, the staff is really nice, the atmosphere is great, 5/5 ! really recommend

Unfortunately for the price I was not impressed. I asked for tap water and apparently they don’t provide it? So had to pay €5.50 for a bottled water! The food was bang average for the price, I had the Fruitti Di Mare pasta for €20 and it tasted like a frozen seafood mix with a bland sauce. Also, the food came out suspiciously quick, i’m talking about 4 minutes… which is very suspicious, almost as if it’s not made to order. Just doesn’t scream “fresh to me” We did get free bread which was nice. But yeah, wouldn’t go again for the price, you can go somewhere else with much more quality food.

I am visiting Brussels with my girlfriend, she had booked us a table for dinner at Spago's. From start to finish it was exceptional from the moment we arrived we were welcomed in such a positive way, we were seated and the head of house took our requirements swiftly. The food was clearly fresh it was absolutely spot on, the risotto my girlfriend had was rich, creamy and full of flavour. I went for the Spago Pizza, it was sensational, extremely tasty, again it was packed with a bunch of flavours. I am Neaopolitan myself so I am happy to say this restaurant did me very proud. I would recommend anyone who enjoys good food and a very nice atmosphere to come and have a meal at Spago's. I will definitely be back again.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere, lovely decor, delicious food and very friendly staff. The menu has so much to offer for everyone. My friend requested gluten free food and was impressed with the taste of the food and the variety that she could order. I highly recommend this restaurant! It's also a great spot for date night as well as meeting up with friends.

Great food and friendly staff.. prices are reasonable with the portions, the baked salmon salad was so tasty.

We were not particularly impressed with this Italian restaurant. What disappointed us was the quality of some ingredients (cheese and vegetables in particular). The pizzas were average and not particularly tasty, and the replacement of Parmesan Cheese with some weird-tasting cheese in the Rigatoni was disappointing. Instead, the service was courteous and the ambience pleasant. Overall, the dining experience was passable, but we would probably not go back.

It is such a shame to put FERMENTED PEPPERS on a pizza, especially in summer season! Several times before the pizzas were very nice, but this time they looked poor for the price, the dough kind of soaked and wet... It is a cosy place for diner or a quick bite, but today the waiter was kind of rude and mad at us that we ordered two pizzas for four people (they are big and i never finish full pizza) Previously we were better welcomed in the place and treated as guests!

Not the kindest in town and pizza is really average. Many others do better close-by.

I went there on Tuesday 08 of June at 21:20 with two friends and I was told that it was too late and the kitchen was closed (kitchen closes at 22:00 according to their site). I had tried to book by phone at 21:00 but apparently they had already unplugged their telephone. If you want to have dinner at Spago you should be there more than one hour before the closing of the kitchen otherwise they will not accept you. We were at Nona at 21:25 and they accepted to serve us immediately. Smooth and professional service. Fellow clients and pizza lovers, choose Nona which is situated at 3 minutes walking distance from Spago.

I'm always happy here. I have been coming here since they opened. I stopped only because there came a time one of the waiters wouldn't let me and my small greyhound in so I boycotted as Ihad felt like a regular client. This last time was great. Food was tasty and the salmon salad is deadly impressive. They have me back.

I found it accidentally in the centrum. Super delicious lasagne with goat cheese I liked how well the taste, consistency of the layers and yummy😋 sauce. Well done lasagne 👏

We were pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was here. If you are looking for good Italian food while visiting Brussels look no further. Highly recommend the bruschetta and the tuna linguine pasta. They were both amazing.

After a few days worth of Belgian specialties, we just had a craving for pasta. Our Google maps scan of the area gave us this place - other places around here with good reviews were closed on Mondays. Okay decor, has a bit of a chain restaurant feel. We ordered fried calamari as an entree, if you made me blind taste test this dish, I would have bet the farm that it was onion rings, not calamari. My pals went the classical route, with Amatriciana and Carbonara, I tried a meatball in mushroom sauce dish. Pasta was fine, cooked al dente, my dish didn't make a lot of sense, but it was okay. Limited wine selection, I liked that they have lambrusco by the glass, but our Tuscan red was too warm. Overall, it fulfilled our craving, but wasn't anything earth shattering. Good place to go with picky eaters and kids.

We had a late night pre-party dinner here. They were open late and very accommodating which was greatly appreciated. The service was super friendly and the drinks were strong. The food was good enough but not great. Prices were decent.

Good Italian food, but the atmosphere was too loud and dark for me. We were 10 at the table and the slightly annoying thing is that the last plates arrive like 10 minutes after the first people have been served.

  • 2/5 Alpache 1 year ago on Google
The speed of service and warmth of the staff does not detract from the poor quality of the food. It's a pity that you come to a restaurant to eat :) Pizza with elastic dough, barely cooked. Aïoli" sauce with the calamari, more like tarama....Maybe the house atmosphere justifies the bad value for money. Thanks to the waiters for listening to our point of view. Nothing to say about them.

this time without photos. We just ate and enjoyed. I recommend pizza with seafood and pizza with jamon. The seafood was magical, I haven’t eaten such a delicious pizza for a long time. There was also some pizza very spicy, but apart from spiciness, nothing is clear. Service is good and very fast. This is considering that all the tables were occupied. This is the minus, as for me, this place must be reserved in advance in order to sit at a good table. But I think that this is an indicator that the place is good. Special thanks to the waiter for creativity and humor. It was nice when he cheered up one of our kids in the company. Delicious, fast service. I recommend😉

Very quick service and even though the place was full the food came nice and quick. The food itself was good, not amazing but perfectly good for the price. Happy to come back if I am craving a nice big bowl of pasta.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Great menu to choose from with a mix of pasta and pizza. A nice touch to be given bread before dinner. Cocktails and beer were delicious. Outside area for after dinner was very cosy. Would definitely come again.
