Excellent location and cozy atmosphere inside, very clean but they may be more attentive to their loyal clients. I stayed in June and it was my 36th stay there but every time they register me as a first comer, asking for security deposit and so on. Every time they blame the system for not saving my name (the same was with my colleague). I think it is important that hotels value their loyal clients

This hotel is stunning, Art Deco vibes with such a beautiful grand entrance. The hotel bar is like nothing I’ve ever seen before, it felt like we were in a movie - cocktails were perfection! Great location, walking distance from Brussels centre and a short journey from the airport. Staff were super helpful and friendly and helped us book taxis. Rooms aren’t 5* decor wise but are perfectly adequate and in keeping with the hotel, spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great, great selection and nice coffee. Would return!

This hotel isnt worthy enough to be called a 5 star hotel. it is a very old and dirty hotel and you wouldnt recognize it till you see a board and nothing like the pictures supplied on sites. to get to the hotel amidst all the construction work was our first challenge. there is no place to park or stop to take your luggage out of the car in front of the hotel. the parking is another disaster , there are no proper signs that leads to the parking area. once you reach the parking you would need to cramp into a lift with your car. access from parking to hotel is terrible, door after door with your luggage and none of the staff would help. the room was bigger however it was dusty . there is no air con and yes you have a fan which when switched on had triggered all the dust to be in the air , and we all including our child ended up sneezing all night. the breakfast had everything but predominant was racial discrimination by the staff. they had wished each and everyone of the guests who entered the breakfast restaurant but us. no body came and asked would we like anything from the live kitchen or a hot chocolate for my son , as we could see other guests were served with all . this hotel got us stressed and spoiled our whole mood for holiday and will never recommend , its high time the authorities would need to reconsider the star status and according to us it isnt worth any stars.

A very good hotel. A twin room was spacious with a large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic. The staff are very nice but not helpful. The room key stopped working after each use and every time we had to return to the lobby (from the 7th floor) and ask to renew /reset the key.

It is hard to find a way to describe such a nice experience, but for the ones who are undecided I will try to explain why I consider it a must to stay at Le Plaza when visiting Brux: - The reception is out of this world. You feel like you travelled back in the 50's but in a good way. The same goes for the hallways, the rooms and the restaurants. Such a nice way to preserve the history. - One of the best mattresses I ever slept on. Also the rooms are very big and well equipped. All for you to relax and have a good time while staying in the hotel. To be honest we preferred to come back earlier to the hotel just to spend more time in the room because we felt so relaxed when spending our time inside. For us this is quite unusual, but says it all. - The staff is very professional, but also very friendly and helpful. - Fair price for luxury services. - 10 minutes walk to the city center. Public transportation (metro, bus stops and train stations) are very close to the location. - Quiet hotel Will definitely come back!

We felt like royals staying in this hotel! Excellent breakfast. Large and comfortable room with wide bed exactly as I need it. The location was just perfect: 10 minutes' walk from work, same distance to the old town and restaurant and bars. It's a pity our stay was only 3 nights... Excellent place to stay and enjoy Brussels!

Stayed at hotel for 1 night. Hotel was nice, beds were comfortable, and rooms were spacious but a bit dated. No major issues as rooms were clean, and we were lucky to be able to get an early check-in as our room was ready. Location is decent but it is a bit of a walk (or other transportation) to get to city centre. Overall for the price we paid it was good value and we enjoyed our stay but also didn't find the hotel to be anything special.

The location of the hotel is good, but in my opinion, the service does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. There was no welcoming reception, only a queue upon arrival. We were given a code to enter the parking lot, but unfortunately, the code was wrong. The staff wasn't friendly or helpful. To get to the hotel from the parking lot, we had to walk through the hotel's back entrance, which had many steps and doors. The room was spacious, but it was in dire need of an update. Overall, I would describe it as a decent business hotel.

Traditional Hotel . Old world ambience with cutting edge service. Staff blend excellent language skills, friendly demeanour and efficiency. A residents bar with wonderful ceiling decoration and a friendly barman. .A breakfast to kick-start the day. Only regret is restaurant isn't open right now. Will definitely return.

Beautiful hall and very good location and service 👌 Rooms not new,and heeded renovation... Bathroom too.. Bed was very comfortable A lot of questions to parking... Small ,not enough space ..and if it's full parked ,it's created a difficults to park and drive out of parking.. For 35 euro per day can be better .. Service and cleaning and atmosphere were very good Thank you

Nice hotel with a good location in the centre of Bruxelles. The hotel has a classic style and very spacious rooms and ensuite bath rooms. The staff is friendly and service minded. The breakfast is also very nice with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes.

The location was excellent, but the saturation of the rooms and the quality of the bed lining in general correspond to a 3-star hotel. There wasn't even hair conditioner in the bathroom.I asked them to bring an iron, they said yes but they didn't․ Օn the first day there were 2 bottles of water in the room, the next day they did not refill them, they said that they provide water only for the first day․

I had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped inside, an unpleasant smell permeated the entire building, not just confined to the room. The cupboards were old and moldy, giving off a musty odor that was enough to make anyone gag. While the place had a certain mystic old charm, it was painfully obvious that it hadn't been maintained properly in years. The carpets were filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. To make matters worse, there were no toiletries provided, not even the basic amenities like slippers. It was a complete letdown and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On top of all that, the price did not match the quality whatsoever. The location was terrible, feeling unsafe. To add insult to injury, a 1-liter water bottle cost a whopping 10 euros, and then I had to pay an additional 6 euros just to have it delivered to my room. Absolutely unacceptable.

The hotel lobby and bar is very nice. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed their service. But unfortunately those were the only positive points. The hotel room was okay, but definitely not four star worthy. Sink had a crack, faucet was wonky, there is no airconditioning and the drain was rusty. You could hear every little noise the neighbors were making. The breakfast was okay. Also not 4 star worthy. Food was very basic. Only the jars where the sauce was in, were really cute. Unfortunately our stay ended with a broken car elevator. Which resulted in everyone having to wait 8+ hours, with some tea and coffee. We did get the offer to rest in a hotel room. We of course don't blame the staff, but some food would have been nice.. We unfortunately could not see the Atomium, because of this incident.

The room is nice, very cosy atmosphere, lovely x-mas decoration. As for service, I would say there is hardly any. The information about “5 minutes walking distance” from the Brussels-North is not correct. In accordance to Google maps, it was 12 minutes, in fact (with a suit case) almost twenty minutes. This is a big difference, taking into account very bad weather. Check in took about 40 minutes. Can happen, but nobody said “thank you for waiting” and I the stuff was not friendly at all. I was informed per mail only after the reservation (non-refundable) that the restaurant is temporary closed. However, in the same mail I was informed that the room-service remains open all time. My plan was to check in, to order smth to eat and to leave for the concert in the city around 16;30. I was very upset to hear on the phone that the room service was only available as from 5 pm. Nobody has bother to say “sorry for inconvenience” or to advice an alternative. I got upset again to find out that it was not possible to get any taxi “because of x-mas market”. I would expect for 5* hotel to have agreements with a taxi company, or with the so called “VIP taxi services” against higher price. There was only “rooibos tea” in my room, I was going to ask for black tea by my return, but found out there is no 24/7 reception and that there is simply no one who could help me. It was very hot in my room. Because there is no air-conditioning, it took hours to cool it down by turning the central heating off. The breakfast was OK, but I would not call it excellent or even “very good”. By check out nobody asked “how was your stay?” or “thanks for your stay with us”. Not even “good morning”. “It is OK, everything is paid”. No “good bye” or “have a nice day” either.

The staff was polite and nice, the room was amazing. The hotel was classy and cozy and clean. It was a true luxury experience. The breakfast had a nice selection. The scrambled eggs were especially delicious. We had a lovely stay and the price we paid for that high quality was very reasonable.

Service staff are friendly. Drinking Water should be provided for the money charged. Food is yumm. Parking and cab drop off and pick up are huge problems. Location is bang on! Avoid the next door THIEF Turkish shop. I'd surely stay here again happily.

This property offers very comfortable, clean, well furnished and spacious room. The hotel is located in the city Centre walking distance from many tourist attractions including restaurants and shopping facilities . The front desk staff are friendly and cordial. They offer complimentary drinks and special services champagne, wine or chocolate of your choice.

Check the negative reviews, they are pretty consistent. The service I experienced was poor. I arrived at 09:30 in the morning after a red-eye flight, completely exhausted. At this point, I just wanted to rest and was happy to have arrived. As I went to the reception, I was told that I would have to wait until 15:00 by a very confrontational receptionist. I asked if they could accommodate me, only to be told that it would not be possible because no rooms were available at the time. I asked if I could cancel instead and go somewhere else, but was told that I would be charged anyway. I asked for the Hotel’s general conditions, which I never received. Less than 5 minutes after being told I couldn’t check-in earlier due to a lack of availabilities, they said I could check-in if I paid an extra 50€. Exhausted, I acquiesced. The room is old, housekeeping only came late in the afternoon when I was in a work call, and said that their shift would end in 15 minutes so that I should let them clean now, or they would just leave. The beds are not comfortable, the walls are thin, and the building lacking basic renovations - something many historic hotels have done well. The “gym” is not heated for some obscure reason. If you stop moving, you’ll likely catch a cold. A guest went in the gym and left immediately telling me he couldn’t understand how I could workout in this temperature. Yesterday, I asked to change my reservation so that I could leave a day earlier and take another flight, just for the same receptionist to tell me this morning that I could leave but would still be charged. The interior is superficially beautifully but this hotel’s best days are clearly long gone. It’s a pretty steep price to pay just to be disappointed…

The room was acceptable – we got an executive suite – but the rest of the hotel/service/location, not so much. This was obviously once a grand hotel, but it’s worn and it shows. When we booked it, it was with the understanding that there was an in-hotel restaurant and concierge service. Neither existed. There was a doorman, but he didn’t help us with our luggage, so we were on our own to take it to the room. We discovered later that he was basically there to chase away all the homeless people that were nearby that often begged from people coming in or going out of the hotel. Once his shift was over, watch out. Also the location was much further than we thought from the sites we wanted to see, a hard walk for my disabled husband, so we missed out on many of the things we wanted to do unless we hired an Uber or cab to get there. There was construction all around the hotel, so it was noisy and the sidewalks were just dirt in many places. Overall impression: A once-grand hotel that has fallen on bad times. Not worth the price. Plusses: Nice big suite, good maid service. Negatives: Worn, noisy, too far from the attractions in Brussels for older folks.

Room big enough but def has seen better days.. bit worn and tired.. surely could be up for lick of paint... for non smoking room it is quite Beige..!! Staff at reception, friendly and pleasant enough but that's it...!! Location fair to centre. Pricewise personally think it's more like corporate overpriced congress venue.. upgraded classic room to deluxe room but was disappointed after asking at reception what exactly upgraded was... answer was, 3 meters bigger and complimentary slippers...!! Absolutely not worth spending extra money for this..!!

Not Worth to be listed as a 5 Star hotel it should be 3 STARS max! 1-The fat lady at reception which considers herself as hotel manager is so rude and not helpful at all. 2-They gave us a room without AC which is not mentioned in the booking 3-I had an injury and they didn't want to provide me with the first aid kit, knowing that pharmacies was closed on a Sunday. 4- They don't even provide free water bottles (as they said only for the 1st night) 5- The only helpful lady at reception was a lebanese lady, the others are not helpful at all.

We stayed for 3 nights. The location is in a depressed part of the city. That depression has effected some of the staff who where less than helpful. Others where professional and kind. The hotel is desperately in need of cleaning and improvement. The restaurant was closed. I feel it was poor value for money and not a place I would recommend. I travel for work and stay in over 30 hotels a year.

  • 3/5 Sheena S. 1 year ago on Google
the beds were really comfortable, but we were mislead about booking a double bed because it was actually 2 single beds pushed together. We were told, however, that this was standard. Not ideal for couples though. Looking back at other reviews, I can evidently see that someone posted a photo with a larger bed, so that obviously wasn't true. Overall the rooms could use some renovations. The location was convenient for us, but is still a 20 minute walk away from the center.

For the price, I enjoyed my stay. One of the most hospitable hotels I have stayed in in Europe. We were before time and it was raining, this is the first time we were offered early check-in in Europe. So I will definitely recommend this hotel.

+ Beautiful hotel entrance Good location Complimentary bottle of water in mini fridge on first night of arrival Rooms are spacious - Room and bathroom need renovation Terrible temperature management - aircon didn't work, circulated hot air and dust around the room. We felt like we were staying in a sauna. No iron in room. No mirror in room with nearby plug to get ready. Mirror in bathroom and one in hall, with no electrical access. Messed up my request to celebrate my fiancé's birthday - I booked this trip and hotel as the centrepoint of the celebration, and despite my request being in my booking notes, asking and then clarifying a further twice at check-in, the hotel didn't fulfill my request the day after, nor the day after that. It wasn't until I asked again on the 3rd day that they said 'they meant to do something' with a dismissive attitude, and we came up to the room to find a small piece of paper that said happy birthday, with a tiny sized jar of sweets, the size of tic-tacs. That was it. Not 5 star service at all. Mattresses aren't comfortable- felt spring in my side and pillows don't 'prop you up' - all needs replaced

Definitely I do not recommend this hotel. 1. I arrived after a very early morning departure and I couln't check in, because my room was not ready until 19h, evening. In a hotel with 4 star, with more like 100 room it is unacceptable. 2. Contrary to what is written on the website. There was no air conditioning in the room. Only a portable ventillator, which was noisy and inefficent. In a 4 star hotel! 3. Wifi is very week. 4. No central lighting in the room, only 2 bedside lamp and one tablelamp. So depressive.

A lovely historical hotel located within 20 minutes walk of most of the historical features of Brussels. Well appointed and equipped, immaculately presented rooms and general areas and a great breakfast to start each day.

  • 3/5 M Z. 1 year ago on Google
Too traditional for my taste. Big room and bathroom, however I had the impression that the hotel tries to hold on to the past and not wanting (or maybe unable) to give it a modern touch. The reception hall is impressive and you get a feeling of how it must have been during the early days of the hotel. Food was alright, but nothing that was outstanding. Very central location and all important spots can be reached by foot.

The room was OK, we enjoyed the stay, but it was slightly dated with signs of wear and tear. City view was more a view of the other side of the hotel and part of the street outside. Staff were fabulous and spoke a wealth of languages. Breakfast was lovely buffet style. Room came with robes. Slippers and complimentary water in mini fridge. Inside the foyer had really beautiful decor.

This was totally not as expected. I reserved the Xmas offer to surprise my wife for this Xmas weekend. But as we arrived there wasn’t a drop off place to stop in front of the Hotel and drop off our luggage and ask the hotel where their parking lot is. In two minutes, my wife and luggage where still in the car, a police agent gave us a parking ticket because we wheren’t allowed to stop there. We reserved the xmas offer with welcome drink and small gift. We received nothing, as I asked the reception for the welcome drink, the told me just go to the bar. After 10 minutes waiting at the bar, because of a private phone-call of the waiter, he said that we needed a receipt for that, and he could’ve ask the reception. I went back to the reception and that men said I will take care of that so after more then half an hour we got our very free welcome drink. We are still waiting on that welcome gift, that I paid for, but I decided not to beg for that. The hotel looks very nice but we couldn’t use the shower because the shower door wasn’t working (lucky enough we had also a bad). Really a good marketing campaign, let the customer pay more for a warm Xmas welcome and don’t give anything.

Beautiful old, classy hotel. It's like stepping back into the turn of century (20th)luxary. Service is excellent.

  • 4/5 Valentina D. 3 years ago on Google
Loved the food, service was great, everything was as agreed in the Valentines package and the bed was very comftorable. Only flaw was that the rooms were not very well sound isolated, so we stayed awake for the most of the night listening to our neighbours activities. I guess if you get stuck with loud neighbours, you won't get a good night of sleep. Other than that, a very nice experience!

This is a very unique hotel which has a special historical charm. The quality and type of service also transports you through time. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re keen on architectural and design details. On the other hand, the rooms were quite cold despite the radiators being on and working. There is also a critical lack of electrical outlets in the rooms. This could be easily fixed with providing outlet duplicators for example. Furthermore, some interior and design refreshing would take this hotel to a 5 star level, but at the moment it seems tired. Finally, I would return in a heartbeat if they had a real espresso machine. Sadly the morning coffee was very weak.

We're a couple from Belgium and we wanted to get away for the weekend. The hotel was lovely! The staff was very kind and helpfull. The breakfast was, due to covid-19, in the room but we enjoyed it. The standard room was spacious and we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay!

There was filming when I arrived so I was a little confused about how to enter. Hotel requires a guarantee of 50 euro cash or 50 euro per night via cc... check in was fairly easy and the rooms were as stated on site. Location of hotel is great, especially if you like shopping. Breakfast was decent, nothing too special... after checkout the concierge called a taxi for me. Overall stay was good

Very nice hotel at the city centre within 5 minutes from Grand Place. The rooms were clean and large enough with all basics covered. The breakfast was good but nothing exceptional that you would expect from 5-stars. They had already installed the baby cot in our room, which was great! The hotel is not really to the level of 5 stars, but more into 4 mainly due to the need for renovation, the breakfast and overall feeling.

  • 3/5 Sam S. 4 years ago on Google
Lovely hotel and such a surprise. Lots of character. Great location for the shops, train station, city centre for the cites and the sight seeing bus stop was at the end of the road. It would have scored a 5 if we didn't have a problem with the timeliness of cleaning of the rooms. We left at 8.30am and when we returned at 4.45pm one room was still being cleaned and they hadn't started the second room. All they offered us was drink at the bar and at 5.30 we got the first room and the second by 6pm. We were asked to tell them when we left each day so they could prioritise the room cleaning. Bit odd as other rooms would be delayed. Awful long wait to check out in the morning. Could be inexperienced staff.

A nice and stylish hotel in the center of Brussels. Really liked the downstairs area. Rooms are comfortable and of a good size. We booked with breakfast included and asked for it to be delivered to our room. We were quite surprised with the lovely laid table that was delivered to our room with a complete breakfast. Sadly the eggs were cold - maybe next time cover the plates if they contain hot food? I don’t like showering in a bath. It’s old-school, uncomfortable and I find it quite dangerous. So the bathroom didn’t do much good for me, although I did like the good size if it. We may be back!

It's so easy to lose confidence. We left in the morning at 6 AM. The day before we agreed with the hotel staff that we would get breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately there was no breakfast. Unfortunately, we were refused our suggestion to correct the bill. The room was small. The neighbors were listening. Water was dripping from the tap.

Beautifull antique building, unfortunately very noisy, we couldn't sleep because people were talking all night in the room above ours. Staff failed to do anything about it , despite various requests from our side. Also the heating was making a lot of noise. Faded glory..

This place is quiet old and unique in its own way. There is a lot of history attached to this place and the present owners have renovated it well . The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are courteous however I could not see anyone to help us with our heavy luggage . The interiors are elegant . The breakfast spread was very good. Very conveniently situated to move around Brussels, metro very near . Overall a good stay

The location is perfect. Walking distance to the main areas in Brussels. Close to bus/ trains. The interior when you enter this place is very beautiful. Staff were decent. The room... queen bed is 2 twin beds combined. Not the most comfortable when your with your partner. But I guess that's a standard in Europe. Electronic kettle included with instant tea and coffee. They forgot to give us complimentary water... Room was nice...but old and very stuffy. Hard to breath unless you opened the window. Bathroom was nice and big. But it constantly made sounds. The toilet kept going off with sounds every hour or something... especially at night... which was beyond frustrating especially when you're a light sleeper. Overall had better expectations...

Very impressive Art Deco style hotel with outstanding lobby, bar, corridors and staircase. We didn't see any group areas but no doubt they'll impress. What makes this hotel special is the attitude of their staff throughout. All genuinely want your stay to be relaxed and welcome all requests, whether it be restaurants, taxis, or Metro etc information. It's not perfect, the odd bathroom door won't stay closed and bedrooms need more power sockets. Also breakfast would benefit from a greater variety of bread but it is described as 'continental' (with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and tomatoes etc) but the hotel overall is more deserving of a five more than a four.

This hotel embodies Old world charm. Pleasant atmosphere with a plethora of international guests. Friendly staff. Rooms are spacious but a bit dated. Gym is tiny and has the bare minimum equipment. Slightly annoying: had to visit the reception 3x as the room keycard kept malfunctioning.

Never left a Google review in my life however I needed to on this occasion. We have arrived here to attend Tomorrowland and I’m blown away, the decor, the cleanliness the staff is amazing. I’ve genuinely cried tears of happiness because of how magical they have made it. I feel like I’ve entered an enchanted city, a whole new world, it’s so magical. Facilities are great, bed comfortable, and very large bathroom which is a massive bonus. We’ve not completely the whole stay yet however so far I couldn’t ask for more

Tomorrowland 2022! This hotel was part of my Global Journey package and I can say it was a perfect experience. EXCELLENT! My room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room, the staff was kind and very helpful. Super clean. The breakfast, OMG, I wish I had pictures to share here (probably the best service I have ever seen). 5 STARS!

Excellent place to stay in the heart of Brussels. I had a spacious and nicely quiet room (also the air condioning runs very silent). The style of the hotel is from another era.....which is great. Truly recommended.

A bit more expensive than we originally planned, but well worth the money! +The room was spacious and spotless, as was the bathroom. Every day when we came back the room was in perfect condition again. +The bed was huge and we slept very well. +The breakfast buffet was solid: good coffee, delicious pancakes, fresh fruit. +The service was excellent: we were allowed to check-in early and check-out late, making both our arrival and departure a much more relaxed experience. +The location is awesome, you can walk downtown in less than 10 minutes. There's an abundance of restaurants, shops and other amenities nearby. -The room could definitely benefit from an additional power socket or two near the bed, we had to unplug one of the bedside lamps for our chargers. -The keycards used to open the rooms and use the elevators didn't always work, requiring assistance from the hotel staff.

Wouldn't recommend. The interior of the hotel looks great! But the rooms on the other hand are very old-dated, need renovation, the windows can't fully open in the room, there is a weird smell in the hotel because the furniture is just too old, breakfast is not that great for the price you pay, the neighbourhood is unsafe (lot of homeless people and loud noises). I wouldn't say that it's a 4-star hotel. No one helps you with the luggage, staff wasn't too professional. Conclusion: I wouldn't book this hotel again. If you're looking for a beautiful interior only; then it's a great place.

Ive never stayed here, but i like this hotel, i have my reasons, but they dont have much to to do with the hotel itself tho. Just wanted to share my fondness with five stars.

I booked through Booking, a 5 stars hotel. I found out that the hotel had a magnificent hall but my room, was nothing but a 3 stars hotel. Old furniture, old bathroom, no water boiler (but I had the base). I asked for the water boiler first day of arrival, they took the number of my room (524) but no one came to give me one, so I spend my stay without it. Shower pieces were full of oxide and broken. Bad experience. I will not come back.
