They didn't ask for the COVID-pass when you were gonna eat upstairs. We also seen some people getting sneakily inside, (they ordered outside... and went sneakily inside...)... the tables are dirty.. the potatoes were not as good as I thought it would be. In Ghent there are better ones.

I saw people were waiting on the line and I thought this fries would be really yummy. We ordered a classic fries with mayonnaise for taking out. The first bite was so impressed because their fries taste different and really delicious. They always make fresh fries. Inside the shop has so many seats and if you prefer sitting outside they also offer them for you. If you come to Belgium, you MUST TRY FRIES because it tastes better than what you have eaten before. Believe me!

Very good special fries with onion and some extra sauces. One portion big enough to feed two people.

The waiter was polite but they had a lot of work. Probably the management should consider hiring more people. Neither the place its self nor the belgian frites quality are something special but it's a nice experience.

This is a quick snack restaurant with Frites as its main speciality. It is well located not far from the Grand Place. Hot dogs is another speciality of theirs. You can expect a small queue of “fiters” waiting for their order to be delivered, but the service is quick.

Not the warmest service however I ordered via the takeaway window. Ordered Belgium fries with andalouse sauce. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned well. The sauce was blobbed on top like the other places. Overall a good walking snack.

It's just a simple place that serves fries and some average style food. When you order at the window, just be careful because all over the counter, there is sauce residue, and if you rub your jacket to it, you have stains all over.

Didn’t ask if it was to take away or to dine in, then asked us to go away. Good advice actually, stay far away from that restaurant. So much nicer options in the neighborhood.

4.5Euro for classic fries, too expensive for its quality, fries are not seasoned(even no salt), it has to use tons of sauce to cover the taste, really bad food. Fries are flavorless and dry (not crispy)

Fries are not great, don't taste like much and cost 4.50€. There are no sizes (like small, medium or big), there is just a single one. The safety and hygiene rules are not respected in this place. There's better.

Nice chips, but I had better at another location in Brussels. Service could have been better in terms of understanding which sauces they had as the menu was not available in English. I end up going with very basic sauce as I did not understand the menu. For 1 person the smallest size was enough. Any other sizes unless for sharing would be too much.

I can see why it have a very low stars . We visiting Belgium and want to try the famous chips and we when to this place to try them but what a disappointment first we when to sit upstairs and is a bit untidy service the waitress was kind but we was there for almost 40m waiting for our food and people before us was getting service… so for that reason we left .. so we didn’t eat so bad service it a fast food service didn’t know why the wait? Do I recommend honestly don’t .. but it looks like they are always busy as it’s a good location. Do I return definitely I won’t with that service we when a bit down and got a way better service and more helpful and fast.

Delicious food, great beer selection, and very fast service. We ate dinner here after visiting the ChocoStory museum. It was cold and rainy outside, and therefore the restaurant was extremely busy...but still had our food and drinks to the table in no time. When you are done, walk down the street less than a block and grab a waffle with all the fixings!

First thing I did when I arrived in Belgium : the fries!!! Friendly service and great fries with mayo

We had our first Belgian Fries here on the way to visit Grand Place. The Fries are quite good. You need top order at the counter and wait aside for your fries to be delivered to your hand. You have the options of classical fries with sauces(have to pay) along with special Belgian Fries. We ordered a special Belgian Fries, which consisted of fries , ketchup , mayonnaise and onion on the top. You have tables to sit outside. As the shop is in the corner, you will find less space to stand to order and eat. During the peak times, you will find a long queues.

We had fries with special sauces, I liked the andalusian one. Fries were not too bad, but nothing explicitly special. Service was nice, good turkish fellows

Liked the chicken skewer. Beef skewer was a bit chewy. Mexicano taste like Otah. Fries was nice with different paid sauces. Overall good experience. Free wifi. Cost €32 with a bottle of water.

Pretty fine food, big portions. Very busy place, full of tourists. We stopped twice here and would come back again.

I recently tried Belgian frites, but unfortunately, the service was quite slow. It took over 30 minutes for my French fries to arrive, which was disappointing. While the fries weren't just your average fries, I don't think the wait was worth it. On the positive side, the location is good, with many tourists passing by. Overall, the experience was underwhelming due to the slow service.

Great authentic Belgian Fries place close to the Grand Place. Plenty of seating inside in two story building. Great place for a quick snack or a proper meal in a warm cosy environment, specially in winter. Table service available. English menu and English speaking waiters is a big bonus for English speaking visitors. The waiters were friendly enough. A must visit place if you are in Brussels.

I would recommend eating fries in Belgium but not this place. Fries were hard and overcooked to end of my funnel.

As a local I’d say, go further into the city to have the real experience, but if you’re super hungry go for it. The fries are super nice, but not worth your money. This is clearly a good place if you’re passing by, but any local person knows that you’d never buy fries for this price. I did tho because I was in a rush to catch a train, and hungry! Still super tasty tho.

Wow amazing fresh Belgian fries and range of sauces. The cheese sauce is the most popular. Great to have on the go whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of Brussel Square

Not bad, but nothing special, just tipical frozen fries… I expected a much better meal.

  • 3/5 Sam P. 2 years ago on Google
Overpriced portion of rather average fries (3,40 + 0,90 sauce). Sauce is quite tasty though.

Even Belgians stop here to pick a quick lunch ;-) somewhatbpricy (tourist area) but at least they offer seating which is not that obvious for other locations selling the same deal.

The food was okay. Ordered mitraillette with boulette and, some fries with special sauce. They used baked onion rather than the usual cold sliced onion bits you get. This was quite tasty. A lot of sauce on both dishes. The fries are big. If it is good fries and snacks you seek, look elsewhere. A quick but expensive meal is what you get here.

Quite central to the Agoraplein square (stone throw away to Grand place, Papy Burger place is a nice little cosy “chip” (frite) shop! You can get loaded by just eating these fatty but tasty chips :) You could possibly get every meal possible with these chips here. Plus a variety of sauces. There’s a good seating arrangement both inside and outside. If you are in a hurry, grab and go at the corner of the shop. The service is pretty good and quite quick too!

The fries were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. Super hot! We got the special with ketchup, Mayo, and onions. It was pretty darn good. Next time I’ll try some different dipping sauces. A little pricey, and lacks seasoning as mentioned in previous reviews. But, I’d come again!

  • 5/5 Heather B. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered at the take out window. It was fast and easy and the fries were amazing. They don't need seasoning or salt when they are that hot and crisp!

  • 4/5 Marissa B. 1 year ago on Google
I came at night, and didn’t have to wait in line. The fries were hot and fresh, but I didn’t think they had enough salt. Good, but I wouldn’t wait in line for these.

Good place to eat . It has big sitting area inside and outside. Taste is also good. Washrooms were not very clean . Good service, they take order and deliver food at your table

Great fries cooked the traditional way. Big portion. Got plain fries gluten free as they were cooked in their own separate fryer.

  • 3/5 Filipa C. 2 years ago on Google
There is space inside and outside. We stopped here because it was the only places open until late. They have different fried options, but nothing special in terms of quality

Really good fries. Must try with ketchup-Mayo-onions!!! Perfect snack.

Had fries for the first time in Amsterdam, the second time here. These are too hard to begin, and just lack salt. Sauces were sauces, but these frites should be passed on. Hope I find better somewhere else in the city.

Took about 15 minutes to receive 1 normal portion of fries.. Not the nicest staff and can't seem to manage a busy time. Nice fries, but if you don't want to wait so long, do yourself a favor and walk a tiny bit down the road to the next one.

Fresh fries with spicy sauce on top ! Definitely one of the better fries we had in Brussels and the sauce made it yumm. We got a big one for 5€. Fries were crisp and fresh. Service is quick and staff is friendly. There was a wait of about 3-4 minutes. Pretty quick. The seating outside is nice, specially the weather was perfect on Aug 27 🌟

  • 5/5 Jomin N. 1 year ago on Google
Enjoyed a lot the fries, crunchy and tasty. The tartar sauce was on point. There are also complimentary pepper and salt. The quantity was really big for the small price. The staff was kind.

Nice place to have quick lunch or dinner. Their fries are good but not the best. You can find better places. I tried grilled chicken plate, they served it with fries and salad. It was good. The location is really good and near to all touristic places.

The waiter was speaking with a condescending tone while asking more information about the sauce. Although the food taste nice the customer service is really bad meaning by this : "not FRIENDLY approach". The waiter pushed the food trays on the table without asking who ordered what. When we started eating they asked us to relocate from pour table to accommodate a family of 8 which we refused. I do not recommend eat in. Best order take away not to be treated badly during ordering process at the table.
