I was recently in this restaurant and was rather disappointed! The restaurant was full, I had problems to find a table for me only, but the waiter was nice and did his best to help me. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great with so many guests…BUT… the most important - food - was simply bad. I took their formule Leon, smaller portion of mussels (500g) with frites and beer, and mussels were completely tasteless. Perhaps not the same with other - more expensive - dishes with mussels, but the one I had was such that I am not sure I will - with many great restaurants in Brussels - ever visit Chez Leon again…

Has a nostalgic atmosphere. The service is fast but the staff could be more polite. Tried their famous mussels with tomato sauce and garlic. It's a good duo with fries. Did not like the beer tough.

Great food and very tasty indeed, will go back again. However, our experience is that the waiter keeps on walking away and that we ended up staying there for ages m. We managed to have our drinks with our desserts, which is very disappointing. On the plus side, children under the age of 12 can have a free meal with parents

Best mussels I’ve had in my life. We did not have a reservation so we got here right when the restaurant opened. We ordered Graines which is mussels with cheese, butter and herbs. Sooooo good, coupled it with bread too. We also had the Chez Leon beer as well as "Georges" Pils. Everything was phenomenal! Can’t wait to try this again!

Everything we tried was very delicious. Service was friendly and fast, highly recommended. Also recommended to make a reservation in advance

We loved this place in the central area of Brussels. The place is huge but still charming. Most of the meals we ordered were amazing but some dishes like Calamari and Salmon Salad I could have done without. Must order is their chocolate mousse! Can’t go wrong much

Need to book in advance to get a table. Great menu and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and waiters are very friendly and playful. Planned to go again a few days later on the same trip. Recommend the mussels and the seafood linguine.

It is definitely worth the hype. Food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, pricing is reasonable (comparing to other places and the food quality, can even be considered as cheap). Restaurant itself is a sightseeing, thus would strongly suggest to make a reservation. One of the best places during our stay!

There’s no English menu printed, you need to scan QR code for it. Mussels are very delicious and well seasoned. Frites are good. Chicken waterzooi tastes amazing. The beef tartare is quite sour, which give me a shock. A lot of customers as this restaurant is considered as tourist-must-go restaurant. Need to queue if you don’t have a reservation. Waiters are friendly. However, the table is very small for 2 people. Do yourself a favour by not ordering too much if not you need to keep rushing yourself to finish the food for them to serve you the next dish which comes quite fast.

Best mussels in the world. Tried now and 4 yrs ago. The taste remains the same. Cheese mussels, and onion soups are my favorite

I walked into the restaurant and was told to sit upstairs at the bar. My waitress was friendly and spoke English and French. I ordered the Plancha with frites and a small coke. My food came quickly and was delicious. While I waited I was able to access free WiFi and while I was eating I was checked on regularly to make sure I was okay and the food was good. I would highly recommend.
