Stopped in for a quick snack after 1 pm on a Friday, since we were still pretty full from breakfast but wanted some mussels. Hubby had some sort of raspberry beer and I ordered a cafe with cream, which I didn't know meant whipped cream, so the waiter definitely thought something was wrong with me when I took a whole glob of it out of my coffee. We shared the white wine and garlic cream mussels. The sauce was nice but some of the mussels were sandy. And at €26, it's a bit on the pricey side but you're paying more for the location. It's located right outside the Saint Hubert Gallery, so it's a good place to people watch. I would recommend skipping the food and just ordering a beer if you're just looking for a quick break.

Really enjoyed our meal here! Half way between a coffee and a restaurant you can find Belgian traditional food, delicious quiche and soups and croissants. They have good menu formula for breakfast of meal. I had the meatballs with fries and it was delicious. Big portions

I am sorry, this is actually one of my favourite places in Brussels and I was here with my wife 15 years ago for the first time. The Tartes sales are really good and the reason we go there every time we are in Brussels, but the place is too small, or actually overcrowded with small tables and chairs, too close to each other. Additionally, the sercice is unpredictable and this time we waited 30 minutes fjuat yo get 2 tartes warmed up. For the price (10.5 euro for a slice), it's not a 4 stars experience.

Amazing, authentic café owned and run by the sweetest couple. Delicious food (I got the savory waffle with smoked salmon, fried egg, rocket, and avocado) and DELICIOUS coffee. The cakes are meant to be amazing too, though I was too full from the waffle to try. Highly recommend!

So cozy place close to the center. It was the first place I have been in Brussels, and it made a good impression. It was not expensive. The coffee was good. The vibe is warm and welcoming. Kind owners, kind service. I enjoyed my time, and had a relaxing experience. You can try it.

Visited on a Thursday evening and was able to get a table for 4 with no problem. I think I'd like to give this 4.5 stars instead of 5 because the service could have been a bit better - our server seemed like she just didn't want to be there, but honestly, I understand that. In any case, I got the spinach and broccoli quiche which was probably the best quiche I've ever had.

Extremely friendly staff and lovely beef stew. One of the few places that offers rice as an alternative to fries if you want something different for a change. This place has been badly hit by the lockdown. It deserves the support of the public as it is a cosy and warm Brussels institution. Also, it has comfy toilets for those who are larger framed.

Outstanding spot for a quick rest! We got hot chocolates and a raspberry tart, both of which were divine. The space is clean and attractive. The food on the tables around us smelled and looked delicious! Very centrally located

Great little place. Nice atmosphere. Food was really good. Mussels was tasty and fresh. Soup tasted so good! The Quiche was really good, we had spinach-goat cheese, bacon they both were really nice. Strawberry was delicious. Recommended!!!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was perfect, as was the service. The lady who was taking food orders advised an actually appropriate meal pairing, rather than suggest I go for the most expensive options on the menu. Would definitely recommend the mussels with white wine, and the house chocolate cake. And would most definitely visit again, the next time I'm in Brussels.

Every time I’m in Brussels I stopped in to this wonderful little establishment run by the nicest and sweetest couple. Today is November 10–20 22 and I have not been here in three years. I love how they have added booths and different times of seating… Same menu and same wonderful hosts! Love the mussels and the stoofvlees is super yummy !

This is a small, cozy, but off the beat "cafe" in the heart of down town. I try to eat here every trip to Brussels. They have a full menu and the dessert pies are excellent. The tables are small, intimate so don't plan this place for a large group. Closed Mondays.

pleasant place with an atmosphere of times gone by where you can talk, eat or simply get lost looking around. we went to the restaurant for lunch with our two little girls and we ate very well.

The restaurant is fine and I'm sure for those who love mussels or meat or frites it is a great place. The meatballs I had were good.

A Taste of Belgium, in the plate and on the wall. Good for value for money.

We enjoyed our lunch here. It was quite quiet considering how busy the area was but the service was friendly and the food tasty. My wife and I had mussels which were delicious and my kids had spaghetti which they enjoyed.

On a Friday night for dinner we were almost alone, no music, zero atmosphere. Food was OK and the raspberry tart was great, but the waffle was totally stale! Service was friendly enough, but slow and not attentive. So many great places to eat in Brussels... But not here.

I loved this place. The best so far I have experienced in Brussels. Very simple, a real local people joint. Very nice staff, good, non pretentious food at a price defying any competition. The biggest surprise: the coffee. Certainly the best espresso I ever had in Belgium after 10 years living in the country. This is coming from a local "torréfacteur" Corsica, a few hundred meters away.

Lovely little spot that were very welcoming & accommodating in food choice for a 7 year old and a 4,5 year old. Such as chose the pasta sauces but could change the type of pasta it was served with. Comfortable seating with big tables. It was pleasant atmosphere that we stayed for a long time.

A small old style diner , with a buzz if you want to grab a clean home made style bite a coffee in a rush , fell upon it by coincidence while trying to find another coffee specialty shop in the area , Google brought us here by mistake

We only popped in this place on the off chance that we may be able to just have a drink. We were given a table and served very efficiently. The lady that served us was absolutely rushed off her feet, but never faltered. We tipped her, but I fear it may not have been anywhere near enough. She was brilliant.

Delicious goat cheese salad, mouth-watering 'lost bread' dessert + a glass of chilled Belgian beer = fantastic lunch. Reasonable prices + fast and lovely service. We'll certainly be back.

If you fancy a cup of tea or coffee with some pie or cake, l'Arcadi is a great option. They have a different selection of pies and cakes every day. As a bonus, you'll be in a great location with friendly owners.

Traditional cafe. Service is friendly, and coffee is good. Prices are average. Decoration inside is very interesting, with details from the 100 years of existence of the cafe. They offers a good selection o tarts, and a couple of breakfast menus, along some more dished for lunch or dinner.

Overpriced and bad food. Small portion and quality of the meat was very bad, half of it was only fat. Maybe a place for a drink only as it’s in a good location but not for Belgian food at all!
