Amazing vintage original place. I would say the experience was perfect except I can't as a vegetarian person. Every single not vegetarian products are perfect. They brew delicious beer you can only taste in the restaurant, they raise perfect chickens with perfect taste in a perfect farm. But here comes vegetarian options. And guys, you'll have the choice between the eternal absolutely not balanced options : pastas with vegetables or salad. Come on. Salad is salad with watermelon and fera cheese, pastas are pastas. Vegetarian doesn't mean you don't need nutritional values and you're on a diet. It doesn't mean either you only eat pastas with zero proteins. If you chiefs, would bother to take just the minimal minimal attention to what you put in the vegetarian options then I would recommend it. Because you take weeks to think about everything else, and here I got salad with feta cheese. Please figure out a balanced way to add reasonable carbs and protein in the vegetarian meal.

First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The interior feels nostalgic and powerful. A stunning place to enjoy a meal. The table was also nicely laid for when we arrived. Big plus for the accompanying bread that awaited us. I liked the service a lot. Attentive and professional. Also offered to take our jackets, which I’ve missed in Brussels. Food was decent, but not as good as I had hoped for. Lobster bisque lacked flavour. The steak and fries was definitely better and despite not getting it medium rare as asked for, the meat was good and the béarnaise sauce nice. Sadly the starter I wanted was sold out (charcuterie). We were a little surprised that they charged 6 euro for bottle of water. Overall come here if you want to dine in a beautiful atmosphere with decent (but not amazing) food.

Had the chef's menu and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Absolutely recommend our table - Table 31 (in my opinion the best vantage point and most spacious on the first floor). Superb interior and keeping with its origins as a hardware store.

Has a bit of resemblances with Pakhuis Gent and apparently from the same owner! Love that Piollot champagne by the glass. We took the menu du chef: Oysters were good quality Perfect prepared egg, bouillon of porcini mushrooms, beans, spinach and slices of summer truffle - lacked a bit of flavor but poached egg perfect. The truffles were very poor quality and cardboard like taste. Roasted codfish, compote of fennel and tomatoes, tartare of zucchini and thyme, smoked baby potatoes, watercress jus - prepared perfect, delicious ‘A la minute’ smoked beef Black Angus with gratin potatoes, sage sauce and seasonal vegetables - smoked with rosemary, gratin was perfect, absolutely loved and I asked blue (rare) and got what I wanted. Eclair "macaron" with fresh Wépion strawberries, pistachio cream, pepper and watermelon coulis - I was missing the pistachio flavors here but the bell pepper touch was very satisfying. Service was good, lovely waitresses and fast. Recommended

Ok and some nice food. Could take it another level with what they have to work with. This is an old hardware store and they have done a great job with it.

This location is super nice and deserve to be visit at least once. Strongly suggested to who is a fish lover, because they have a very fresh selection of oyster, lobster and grab. Service is super professional and staff very nice.

We took the chef’s menu without seafood and the steak was really good. Maybe worth vary and serve two different desserts for a couple. A very nice place for dinner.

The place look lovely 👍 with different sections for various groups and get-together hang out for dinners. The food was lovely although the steak was a bit small but nice. The pork was huge that my friends couldn't finish theirs so as a glutton, I had to complete the rest😜😜 Where I come from we don't waste a food that taste so nice and lovely. The staff that served us was nice and understands English language so it wasn't difficult for us to communicate 😂. Kudos to everyone that made sure that we got our food on time and the reservation.

Everything about this restaurant is great. The food is amazing, the drinks are really good, the decor is very unique, and the atmosphere is beautiful. We had a special table in a chamber, on the upper floor right behind the clock. The service was amazing. Thank you, La Quincaillerie was an amazing experience.

The interior is amazing, very beautiful place. Service is very thoughtful and friendly. Food is really good, but not something I would come back for this price. We had salmon toast, Ricotta ravioli in cheese sauce, fried fish with fries and lemon tart, drinking just sparkling water. Total was around 75€ for 2 people.

Fantastic building, I'd go back just for the interior. Good food also. The marrow was fabulous

This restaurant is for a special occasion - mainly because it is quite pricey. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the service is good (and quite fast) and the food was really good. The presentation of the dishes is great but the quantity vis a vis the price is not so good.

Great food and very good service. The atmosphere could be great but they avoid using the main room upstair tables (the staff gets tired?) and the adjacent rooms are not pretty, just functional.

Ever had dinner in a hardware store? Go to the Quincaillerie and you’ll wonder why you left it so long. The setting is an old shop built in 1903 and if Hogwarts sold sprockets it would do it from here. The food is great and homemade to a very good standard. The staff are super helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There is a spacious downstairs room for larger parties but I would recommend you save this for a romantic venue and sit upstairs on the inside balcony. The tables can be a bit narrow but the view and the fun factor make the location very special to watch the drama of a running restaurant. It does get busy so make sure you book ahead and it can be a bit noisy at times. The wine list is a bit pricey and they don’t have cocktails. The seafood features highly on the menu. If it’s a safe bet for an atmospheric dinner you need then this place will deliver.

Gorgeous restaurant. Had the chefs menu, which included the oysters the restaurant picks themselves, they were exquisite. Main course was very good as well and the desert delicious to top it off. The service was great, very kind, not too formal, but very swift and pleasant service. We mentioned this to the host of our B&B and he'll definitely advise La Quincaillerie to his future guests.

The steak tartar could be improved. The service was excellent and the service of Saba was excellent as well. We enjoyed our dinner.

Food is ok. Service is perfect. However, it's a Over pricing place. You pay for the environment not fir the food. The main dish was not warm enough.y sauce was cold The dessert cream brulee was shocking. With full of water in it and 12euro? The ratio of the ingredients was incredibly insane. How dare haha the restaurant taking it out?😂

Classic restaurant with a nostalgic interior. I recommend the secret desert of the chef. 🎈🍨

Because of the warm, kind service, and authentic building, I had an unforgettable dinner in Brussels. The steak was excellent (as it is) without any sauce, and pairing with wine was perfect. And I found out the fried potatoes quite good with olive oil and pepper which are just on the table.

First of all, I love the food over here. But I came here on vacation for my birthday, I waited 2 hours to have 2 entrees, I didn’t even have time to order desert because by the time I finish my entrees it was already two and half hours in the restaurant, it was just endless of waiting. When we pay the bill, the waiter just kept our bills and didn’t give us the change back for awhile. At the end, the waiter just asked us to go to the storage room to get our coat on our own, and we just couldn’t find our coat. The whole experience just wasn’t pleasant.

An opportunity to eat quality belgian food and an impressive wine list to match. We had some South African white wine that really impressed us. Only negative remark is that it was a bit loud inside, but considering all the guests they had it was okay. Staff is very friendly and explains the menu if needed. I advise that you come back here several times to sit in multiple places - downstairs, upstairs and even outside (during the summer period).

First time back in Brussels for 16 years after working there for several years, La Quincaillerie, which was always a favourite, is still just as good. Excellent food, very friendly and efficient service, fascinatingly interesting (ex hardware store) decor (for the Brits - where are "The 2 Ronnie's and their Four Candles" ?). Good value for money.

Simply love this place! Been here a couple of times and every time it's a pure pleasure. Love the ambiance, the food, the wine, the oysters... Had the last dinner date with my ex here... Happy times... ❤️ Definitely book a table well in advance, especially during the weekend. I can recommend a selection of daily oysters + whatever white wine the staff recommends. You can never be wrong with your choice, no matter what you have.

The seafood plateau royal was unbelievable. Frais, tasty and succulent. Eating this inside a very beautiful scenary was a great experience.

Excellent food and drinks. Minus one star because the service is not always on par. However I keep coming back because overall it's an excellent restaurant.

A place that feels like it’s trading on its interior design, which is spectacular. Unfortunately the food we ate didn’t match the view. I had the duck, which was heavily undercooked and came with extremely boring plain vegetables with no seasoning at all. Might be worth the visit to see the interior if you’re into that type of thing, but your money is probably better spent elsewhere.

Great location, great service but could not cut the meat the right way.. Not even the second try...

The restaurant is gorgeous, very fun to be upstairs. However, as many comments stated already, the food is good but not great and it is very expensive. Overall you come for the atmosphere and the service (great btw) not really the food

Second visit, and generally happy with food, good style and comparably reasonable prices for the quality. Sorry but minus one star for the cheesecake, which should not be served as a foamy liquid interpretation in a glass. Get the lava cake instead, it's good ;)

WOW! We had one of the best meals of our lives here. We started with the oyster selection - they were delightful, fresh, and tasty. We then moved to the lobster bisque & the bone marrow. Both were mind blowing. For our mains we had steak tartare & the curry duck. The seasoning and quality of meat is 100%. We finished with dessert - the strawberry tart. Our waitress was friendly and made some wonderful wine recommendations. I wish our glasses were filled a little more regularly but that is it. We splurged on this meal for our anniversary and I would go back in a heartbeat. Beautiful food, great service and a gorgeous atmosphere.

La Quincaillerie is a must for me when visiting Brussels, it's only gotten better since I first visited several years ago. Great unique interior space, very friendly staff, and a nicely priced menu of modern classics.

Beautiful venue and impeccable service. The food was delicious and preceded by a wide range of choices from their aperitif menu and accompanied by a fabulous wine list. The hospitality was 5 star!

Had dinner with a group of colleagues. The venue looks amazing and so did the food at other tables. We had a menu which was a bit disappointing in taste and quantity.

Great and fresh sea food and wine list. We waited over 1 hour for the food.
