😠 Highly overpriced for the quality they offer. The food we ordered was disgusting, the salad had a long hair in it so immediately we were disgusted but we’ve already waited for so long we didn’t want to wait any longer. The staff is friendly but not very good service, we were in the middle of eating... People often mention service, staff, drinks, waiter, good, nice, table, asked, meat, great,

The three stars were for the place… not the service . I was there at 5.30PM and the guy could not have shown is displeasure in serving me any more if he’d tried. He didn’t listen and brought the wrong size drinks. Service like this can ruin a place. We had some small plates of food and the waitress was fine.

Highly overpriced for the quality they offer. The food we ordered was disgusting, the salad had a long hair in it so immediately we were disgusted but we’ve already waited for so long we didn’t want to wait any longer. The staff is friendly but not very good service, we were in the middle of eating our fries and they cleaned up our table with our almost full portion of fries… I wouldn’t recommend eating there! Drinking beer is fine.

VERY BAD- Tourist trap rip off. Overpriced and bad quality and service. I went to eat there with my wife who is from Belgium. My mother-in-law ordered croquettes. One of them smelled very bad, she decided not to continue after one bite, when we said something about it she (blond woman with short hair) wanted us to pay anyway for it. She had to run for a toilet afterwards. We will never come back.

The fries and chicken nuggets were pretty bad. Caesar salad was ok. There is no AC inside in a hot summer I guess its normal for here. Outdoor seat would be better.

I had the worst experience ever in a restaurant within 5 mins of entering that over-hyped cafe ! The waiter accosted me as I walked inside after my family sat at a table outside . He acted like a bully and was utterly disrespectful . He blocked my way and said “ yes?” I said I am looking for the restroom. He responds with “ yes?” To which I asked “can you point me in the right direction ?” The obnoxious waiter responds while physically blocking me this whole time - “ you need to ask me nicely ! Say can you pleeease point me to the bathroom ?” I hurried out. My entire family that was seated also walked out with me Yes !! First. He blocked my way like a bouncer . Second, instead of asking “can I help you ?”, he goes “ yes?” While standing in my way and then bullies a woman asking for directions to the bathroom ??!!! Snooty terrible terrible staff /service. Great location. Over priced and snooty .

Where do I begin? Oh yes…do not eat here or let them profit from you, ever. I have not been so insulted in as long as I can remember and when the underwhelming experience ends with the server threatening you, pushing your wife and acting like he is the manger…I’ve never seen such bold audacity that cares less of people return for business or have issues. The 2 tables near us waited over 30 minutes before getting any help…even after we told the server they needed to be helped to at least get started with drinks.

We went because it was recommended by trip advisor as we wanted a traditional experience. It was crowded (as would be expected) but the staff did nothing about the rowdy guests who were totally oblivious to the other diners around them. The staff was rude and unhelpful, actually making us feel like we were a nuisance to them. Prices are very high for the quality and quantity of what they serve. To top it off, one of our party left with a case of food poisoning. Terrible experience and give it a miss. Not worth it!

while the atmosphere was nice, it was very bad that they asked us to pay them a part of our bill in cash and the rest in card, apparently so that they would not be seem in the taxe system. shame and unacceptable for the reputation of the center, in the heart of Europe, in one of the posh areas.

Only the location is nice. Food was not good at all: salads were served with no dressing, we asked but at the end we had to pick it up ourselves as the staff was too busy; the fries were dry and the meatballs were salty. The lady who served us (I think the owner) was very nice, but the service overall was very slow. The payment was also an issue: we were a group of 7 people and the owner asked to pay cash or the total with only one card. Although the bar is well located I don't think to go back.

I ended up here 'by accident' and had some drinks and a decent portion of Vol Au Vent (chicken ragout). My meal was a bit too liquid for my liking, but tasted good. Fries were a bit too crispy/hard, but still tasty enough.

We had just drinks, no idea about the food, But drinks were nice and of course a bit pricy.. The waiter gave us service was nice but the other one he was not quite polite with way of speaking, which we think maybe it was lack of language... Or empathy, or good will :) Recommend to go there in total

Great place for drinks. Friendly staff and great selection of drinks. We didn’t eat here but everyone around us looked like they enjoyed. Would definitely come back

The place had good food 4 years ago, and I thought it would be good to try it again. Bad idea. Both service and food have plummeted. Burger, stew, and two beers costed 50EUR.

Both me and parents were ill because of the food (it seemed like they used canned mushrooms and or reheated food). Service was horrible, food was not even properly (re)heated half of our dish was served and 10 min later the other half. Food was incredibly pricey and tasted average. Staff was unfriendly but hard working. Atmosphere here is ok, cosy place. But overall i strongly recommend you to only get drinks here or avoid this place.

Amazing location in the Old Town, a well placed and clean spot. We popped in for some late dinner and a couple of drinks and were not let down. Service was impecable, we were seated very quickly and the staff are friendly and spoke fluent English (always a bonus for us non-French speakers). We felt we didn't need to wait for anything as the staff were on the ball. Food was great, we had the meatballs which came in a rich tomato sauce and were served with fries. This is a specialty at Cafe Leffe and its honestly wonderful after a long day of sightseeing. We both had glasses of Leffe Ruby which was easy drinking and refreshing, the beer tasted fresh and the glasses were very clean. Atmosphere was relaxing and casual. I could of spent the entire evening sipping away and talking to my partner as the world went by and the staff are non-intrusive. As a foot note the prices are very reasonable as well!

Typical bar food. It was very busy and noisy outside. But no AC inside. The service was ok, there was one waiter for 20 tables. The fried chicken sandwich tasted like it was fried in the same grease they use to fry fish. So it tasted like fish. Gross. Anyway the restaurant we went to prior sat us and ignored us for 30 minutes (Creme) so we left and ended up here. There is plenty of seating and a large enough menu but not much other than fish products. Unless you’re into that, don’t bother with this place.

The food was old and dry and tasteless. The service was acceptable until the moment we ask for the receipt. We needed to ask several times for the receipt and the waiter made typical excuses. At one point the waiter brought us five, six different receipts that were not ours. Only after one of us went inside and pressed him he finally printed the receipt. Finally the waiter was very rude and angry because I insisted that he prints our receipt and kinda pushed me out of the restaurant.

Service is kind but too slow due do not enough staff, ending up with almost an hour and a half waiting before being served. Then the poor food quality brings more bitterness to you, asking your self what am I doing here, I order meat balls à la liégeoise (21€) , 2 small hard and unpleasant meat balls in a very salty brawn sauce (probably to cover the aged sauce taste) . Then came the cherry on the cake, the paiement restrictions: only cash or card, but no possibilities to divide the bill!!! We were several sharing the table, hopefully a majority of us had cash, we tried paying the majority by cash and card, no, not possible!!! So finally after a small confrontation of the situation, they plainly accepted, seriously! We're in 2023, they should attend a workshop in modern paiement facilities. Never again, cuz not only it was unpleasant, but a I problems the following days with the digestion. 😤

Service was fine, but obviously understaffed. Had multiple incorrect orders brought to table. Eventually gave up, paid for drinks and left. Would not recommend

Their draft Leffe blonde was totally different from that of a bottle. Tasted rich but less sweet and a little more crisp. I went there around 4pm on Saturday and it wasn't very busy. One of our orders didn't arive but overall the service was not that bad.

The waiter was incredibly rude and impolite with us without any reason; he even dared to call one of us stupid. We waited for a long time for a salad. despite our hot dishes had arrived we had to wait a lot for that salad and at the end we had to cancel the order because we needed to go. There was no one at the restaurant so there was no reason for such delay. We ordered a salad after reading it on the menus outside but just when it arrived we discovered that those referred just to the winter dish, so in the summer the ingredients were different. On the outside menus there wasn’t anything written about the seasonal change. In the sauce of a meat dish there was a pond of blood from raw meat that shouldn’t be there. The fries were cold. We totally suggest to avoid this place

Not the best customer service my waiter was a little rude. I asked for a vodka soda lime got up to change it to a red wine. He bought over wine and vodka soda and told him i only wanted the wine. He rolled his eyes and said you didn’t say. Eh, i did. Also when my food arrived there was no salt and vinegar pepper etc and no one around so i had to get up to find someone to ask for sauce and salt. Again, i’m in a restaurant i shouldn’t have to get up to find things. I should be waited on. No one came over to ask how my food was or if i needed anything which in that case i did, i needed more mayo. Bill was expensive and the meat…. Hmmm idk what it was it was however cooked perfectly and very tender. The peppercorn sauce also was a little blend. But great chips

Service was terrible. Had to seek out a server 20 mins after being seated to take our order. Food was okay. Beers were great. Wouldn’t go again and wouldn’t recommend the place if you’re in a rush.

The burgundian setting is beautiful, as well as the idea of the place, 'Leffe café' is perfect. As a fellow business owner I can't help but notice that the burgundian feeling seems to be missing. The waiters handled the evening with no real care for the customers, e.g. doing other stuff when ordering. Preparation of the table was nowhere to be found and the sense of service was absent and felt quite rushed. All together there seemed to be no real management in this café. Little things like ordering a faulty order while the waiter smokes a cigarette and ignoring signs for an extra drink makes the experience quite unpleasant. Otherwise, the food was above decent and well prepared.

worst food i eat maybe in my life! if you feel hungry just go and buy something from spar or any other market around but not that place. I ordered hamburger and i couldnt eat. And the problem is not just only food also the staff. There was a knife on the floor and noone literally noone cares it for almost 10 min and it is not possible to see it. When someone finally decided to take it, he put it to table??? not to kitchen.

Had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks, when they finally arrived, but one of them was wrong, the service got really cheeky, cursed in French and stuck out his tongue. Waste of time, never again.

Stopped by for a quick coffee and snack, ended up having an omelette. Really slow service and it wasn't that busy, food was 'okay' and value for money was good (approx €15 for coffee and an omelette).

Bad service, bad food. Fish was not fresh, terrible service with waiters throwing the bill at your face, very unpolite. Truly a disappointment. I feel embarrassed that tourists will remember this as their experience in Belgium.

Nice restaurant/ bar with a good atmosphere and food. We went just before 8 and got a table inside easily enough but by the time we left it was completely full. Friendly wait staff and quick service, reasonable prices for a city centre restaurant.

It was fine. Terrace is great, beer is great, service is just fine. We didn’t go inside.

Avoid! Overpriced and poor service. We stopped at the cafe for a quick meal and to try to charge our phones on the way to Brussels Midi Station but it was disappointing. Service took more than 15 min to get our order and when we received our burgers, the cheese seemed old, the meat was tasteless, and the bread was awful. We asked for salt, ketchup, and mustard and the waiter only brought salt without the slightest attention to the customer. This also happened to the table close to us. How can a cafe named with an excellent and well know beer have such miserable service!? Avoid it!

Good vibe and ambience, the staff and service was good although like most places in Brussels, you need to speak French or flamish to be understood cause they don't speak and understand English that well. Here one guy did so I was happy! It's a lovely bar to hangout in the evening...

We just popped in for some drinks. It was a nice place and the staff were friendly. The food looked nice, but I can't comment as we didn't order any.

Not worth the money we spent. Nice location but the service and the food were not sufficient. We ordered a stake well done and we got a tiny piece of meat (half the size of the other portion we ordered) and it was dry and burnt. Impossible to chew, when we complained the waiter replied: “you asked well done, I did well done”. For me this is not a well done steak.

Had searched Brussels for something to eat for about an hour to no avail. Stumbled on this place…. Worst decision of any trip I have ever been on. €40 for two burgers and two cokes. Both burgers arrived with stone cold, un-toasted buns. The beef burger was totally raw, and the cheese on both was unmelted. When we pointed these flaws out, noting was done in rectification. This was possibly more disappointing than the food itself. Shocking food, at an extortionate price.
