Amazing experience. The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken are located in the north of Brussels and it's only open during 3 weeks every year. Pictures always look empty, but do not be fooled, it is super crowded. There are some empty spots not accessible to the public where you can make pictures. You can choose either the short (1h30) or long (2h30) walk. Entry is only €4!

Impressive. A collection of plants from all over the globe. A must visit, once in a life-time. Only open during a few weeks in spring, along with the Royal Gardens. Only with reservation.

Impressive green houses near the palace where the Royal family lives. Keep in mind when you are strolling around this place that the genocidal King Leopold II built this place with the blood, lives and suffering of more than 10 million Congolese who died during his reign.

Do not miss this once a year opportunity to visit. This year it was open April 14 to May 7. I bought the online tickets €5 each on March 30. Today is April 20 and tickets are sold out. Just an amazing place as you can see by photos. At the end of visit you can buy plants and gifts. There is also a dining area in a large greenhouse where you lineup to buy pastries and coffee etc. Long lines at 2:30pm. Plan far far ahead if you want to visit the Kings property!

The Royal Greenhouses of Lichen are a collection of large and old greenhouses located in the north of Brussels. In these greenhouses, which date back to the 18th century, a wide range of plants, trees and special flowers are kept. The doors of this complex are only open to the public for a few weeks in April and May. At this time, many flowers and plants bloom in the garden.

Wonderful. We were very happy we finally visited the Royal Greenhouses this year. The collection of flower and plant is astonishing. Also, the architecture is incredible. You are immediately transported somewhere far away. It would be nice to be open for more than 3 weeks a year so more people can admire it.

We went few months ago. It is only opened from March to April. Beautiful royal gardens! Flowers and plants receive royal treatment! What a beautiful breathtaking experience. Flowers and plants that you have never seen before. There was a huge lineup but it’s totally worth every second. I cannot wait to go back one day.

We enjoyed our visit in April 2023 for the few weeks per year that the greenhouses are open to the public. Tickets are €5 per person to enter during a pre-selected half hour window. Entry on the day was seamless, the grounds and greenhouses were stunningly beautiful. Highly recommend a visit!

A dive into nature, flowers, and royalty.. but only for a few weeks a year! The Serres Royales de Laeken are one of the residences of the Belgian king and are open to the public only for special events and a few weeks per year around April. It is crucial to check the opening days not to remain disappointed. Once inside, the huge glass greenhouses offer a spectacular view of an impressive variety of flowers and plants, including tall palm trees inside the biggest greenhouse. The exterior is equally impressive, with a gentle hills hosting a meticulously maintained English lawn, a lake and the famous Japanese tower. A must see if you happen to be in Brussels at the right time of the year!

Marvellous place, perfectly designed gardens. You can see the history behind each part of it. Art of using simple plants next to exotic ones in a very complimentary way. It's probably the best designed garden.

Was lucky to be in Brussels while the greenhouse was open to public. However it was so crowded, it took really long time to walk inside. I wonder how is the que during weekend. Greenhouse was nice with many beautiful flowers. Just too crowded.

🌿🌿🌿 Best garden of Brussels. Opened only in May. This is a great opportunity to discover and enjoy the plants and flowers coming from around the world 🌺🏡️🌼 The park is huge and the greenhouse is stunning. The price is low and worth for what we see.

Worth the visit! Very nice flowers and many plants from South America and Congo. They open for just a few days on the year, cheap and organized. They have a toilet inside and a small cafeteria.

Yes, it is a fairy tale. Book your tickets when the sales open or you might miss it. If you book on the wheelchair friendly dates, you won't be able to walk around the domain as this path will be closed.

Garden & greenhouses at the royal palace of Laken. The geenhouses were build in the Leopold II era, and houses plants imported from Congo. Limited visits are possible usualy in spring. The place is well maintained by about 60 gardeners.

I think the royal greenhouse is not only worth a visit but also deserve you carrying a good camera for it! The most splendid thing I find to be is the architecture itself. The grand steel arcs and the huge transparent glasses remind me of the large train shed of the Antwerp Central Station, and also at some point even resembles the movie settings in Jurassic park, only it is much more vivid and glamorous with the emerald steel structure and the exotic flora and foliage from all over Asia, Australia, Africa and South America. Some of them are a rare sight even in their places of origin. I first followed an ouydoor route where one has a glimpse of the rolling grassland of the royal chateau, and then visitors enter the greenhouses following a flower-lined trail dotted with occasional statutes, small fountains, and carefully arranged landscapes. There is a souvenir shop and a coffee place just besides the exit where one can purchase plant seeds, postcards, or sit down under a glass dome and bask in the lovely sunlight a bit. The lines are long and a bit overcrowded but still I would recommend a visit if you stop by Brussels when the greenhouses are open. Ticket is 2.5 euros and bancontact is accepted. There is a free parking lot just across the road from the main entrance. The place is only open for about 3 weeks every April/ May so check for accessibility beforehand.
