Amazing for family picnic, there is a nice wide kids playground in addition to the lake and surfing

Adorable place in a sunny but not windy day. My 3 year old girl had an amazing day at the playgrouds, especially those at the beach. Remember to wear rainboots to enjoy the beach even in winter. You can plan about 3 hours to play around. The afternoons can be far too crowded as in COVID times.

It's a very convenient place because is not far away from Brussels. Probably the nearest domaine that you can reach in around half an hour. It's 5€ per person and the beach area is very big, so unless you go in summer in a very hot day should be not specially overcrowded. Little ones has lots of areas for recreation. The water is not specially clean, neither the sand but it's not the end of the world if what you want is to chill out one day in the water. You have machines to buy entrance tickets near the entrance. In there they only check your tickets.

Extremely overcrowded. Plus, even if there were no more tickets remaining they let us enter the parking, so we lost 5€ for nothing.. Thank you for replying. Online there was someone who recently asked if we can purchase the tickets on-site and there were several replies with 'yes'..

If you are ok to park at the back entrance near the Hofstade's sport hall/swimming pool where the parking is big and free it's great 👍

Nice domain in the middle of the nature. We had a walk around the lakes to get to the beach side (with three small kids). There was a beautiful view surrounding the lakes and it was accessible by buggy. There is also a special terrain for dogs 🐕 to play freely in a protected area. The beach part is super nicely organized for the kids, they can play in the water without having big risks. There are also nice outdoor playgrounds going till in the water. Lots of fun guaranteed for the kids. Lockers are also available with a charging spot for 1e or 2e. But you better be there first. When good weather the place is full, because not so many spots like this available in the area, so you better be there on time. What we didn't like was the food service, there is just one food truck available. When good weather and many people, you can waist easily 30 min just to get some cold drinks. So I would really recommend bringing the essentials with you. Also they are very strict at the entrance and not always very friendly. When you enter you cannot go out of the swimming area even if you forgot something or want to take the baby car seats for the kids... There is also an outdoor playground not so far from the beach that is freely accessible. And you can have water fun activities all with reservations in advance.

Amazing 😍 Back after a few years and surprised: very well organized clean parking. Contrary to other similar places here picnic is aloud - a nice attention in time of crises.A perfect place to relax with family and friends

Lots of different playgrounds for all age of kids and plenty to keep them busy. Surprisingly the cafe was open which was a welcome surprise as the place was deserted given the minus 6 degrees.

Its a beautiful place with alot of sports BUT they charge €5 parking and another €5 per person to enter the lake / beach..

Great place for a day trip

Amazing park for children from all ages. The beach is also very nice, no need to drive all the way to the sea for kids to have fun, plus the water is warmer here.

Very nice place with a lake. Great for sports, pic-nic and sunbathing. Great choice if you don't want to get to the seaside and less windy.

I visited 2 or 3 times, no available swimming area, just children playground with shallow water and very often awfully crowded. Lately, I went in with the intention to enter the bathing area, saw the 200m queue and decided instantly it made no sense to wait that much. I only stopped the car to pay in order to leave, total time inside was 5 minutes. I had to pay 5 EUR for that. Never going back.

The beach is nice, specially for family and kids. Remember that you have to buy your tickets online before. The water was not as clean as I would love but it's a lake after all... The bar/restaurant was super nice with great food and drinks! You should also book a table to be sure to have a spot. A great place in general!
