My
review
years
ago
was
positive
"My
place
for
everyday
veggies
and
bakery"
but
not
anymore.
This
Carrefour
Hypermarché
spends
much
energy
in
trying
to
look
sustainable
and
green,
and
some
efforts
are
much
appreciated,
like
removing
paper
bags
in
the
veggie/fruit
dpt
(with
some
caveat)
and
allowing
people
to
purchase
veggies&fruit
without
any
packaging
(aka
"weight
it
and
put
it
in
your
bag"),
in
presenting
local
products
(chapeau)
and
in
having
one
of
the
larger
and
best
section
for
bio
products.
BUT...
There
are
some
other
points
that
completely
erase
all
the
good
job:
-
all
fridges
(meat-dairy
veggies-fruits-etc)
are
open,
with
a
huge
waste
of
energy.
What
about
doing
what
small
Carrefour
shops
do,
with
closed
fridges
with
glass
doors???
Not
only
it
would
save
you
huge
electric
bills
but
it
woukd
help
the
planet.
Sometimes
the
good
is
not
in
what
we
do
anew
but
in
limiting
the
bad.
-
Carrefour
brand
products
(see
the
line
"simple",
the
cheapest
one)
have
too
much
plastic
packaging
in
them.
Please
don't
use
the
"hygiene"
argument:
we
all
have
been
through
covid
and
know
that
are
other,
smarter
way
to
reduce/eliminate
plastic.
We
understand
you
have
to
make
money
and
pretend
to
care,
but
it
is
now
very
easy
to
see
your
#greenwashing
when
you
do
not
insert
your
eco-policy
and
values
in
ALL
YOUR
Products,
including
the
cheapest
one
that
most
people
buy.
Bio
is
nice
and
trendy
for
selling,
but
bio
costing
like
the
cheapest
products
would
show
real
eco-
caring.
The
rest,
what
you
do,
seems
more
#greenwashing
marketing.
-
while
the
intention
in
removing
paper
bags
in
the
veggies/fruit
zone
is
notable,
there
is
NO
sign
or
visible
info
for
cliebts
that
says
to
customer
that
NO/ZERO/
NADA
container
is
needed,
that
you
can
just
weight
your
produce,
take
the
label
and
put
in
your
own
trolle
or
bag.
This
means
that
most
people
are
pissed,
they
don't
know
what
to
do
when
they
realize
there
is
nowhere
to
put
the
produce
(without
realising
they
don't
need
any
container)
and
they
purchase
the
new
plastic
bag
(0.30cents)
:
so
the
entire
good
eco
purpose
vanishes.
We
see
more
your
#greenwashing
and
got
customers
angry:
was
it
worth?
-Chapeau
to
consistently
adhering
to
Toogoodtogo.
But
why
your
paniers/boxes
never
contain
old
fruits&
veggies?
Where
those
tons
of
unpacked
mountains
of
veggies
go
when
not
anymore
fresh?
Yes,
sometimes
the
magic
box
has
a
random
salad.
But
even
the
vegetarian
box
is
almost
half
of
dairy
products
and
almost
no
fruit&veggies
🤦🏻♀️.
Perhaps
understanding
the
purpose
of
toogootgo
(not
throwing
away
food
to
avoid
food
waste)
is
too
much
work
for
the
people
preparing
the
paniers?
Or
perhaps
too
work
for
them
to
throw
inside
also
old
cucumbers
and
peppers?
The
point
is
having
fresh
food
not
going
to
waste.
So
unfortunately
your
paniers
are
the
worst
of
all
Carrefour
shops,
both
in
variety
and
quantity.
Your
paniers
have
actually
more
plastic
than
food,
which
is
really
sad.
