Truly
a
pleasure
staying
at
Los
Portones
de
Ataco,
Julio
was
an
amazing
host
who
gave
us
a
great
coffee
tour
from
the
coffee
fields
to
the
processing
plants
and
then
the
final
product,
delicious
artisan
coffee.
His
coffee
brewing
presentation
allowed
us
to
try
the
different
brew
styles
and
left
me
feeling
like
a
coffee
expert
afterwards.
My
family
of
6
were
able
to
stay
comfortably
for
5
days:
enjoying
tipical
Salvadoran
breakfast,
the
lovely
small
town
of
Ataco,
fresh
air
and
the
mountain
range
as
our
backdrop.
The
rooms
were
spacious,
comfortable,
clean
and
the
common
area
was
a
great
place
to
hang
out
and
enjoy
some
coffee
or
food
they
make
in
house.
You
can
choose
to
stay
in
to
enjoy
the
town
or
go
on
adventures
such
as
hiking
up
the
Santa
Ana
Volcano,
Ziplining
in
Apaneca,
Jet
skis
on
a
lake,
ATV
riding,
coffee
tours,
visiting
ancient
Mayan
ruins,
relaxing
on
the
beach,
etc.
They
provided
all
the
transportation
along
with
a
guide
so
everything
went
smooth
as
possible.
The
staff
always
had
a
smile
on
there
faces
and
were
very
helpful
when
we
required
something.
Definitely
a
gem,
next
time
I
am
going
back
during
their
festival
time
when
the
town
is
more
lively...can't
wait!
