CHECK YOUR RECEIPT - overcharged £175 as added extra adults and charged the kids as adults. Booked a large group and we’re out across 2 tables - could have gave my large group a better spot. Completely unsocial setting. Food was huge disappointment - was told after that had to ask for vegetarian option. Veg was horrendous - only green veg was Brussels! No peas, green beans, broccoli, cabbage ect. Stephanie stepped in and saved us being overcharged. Disappointing, stressful and horrible experience. We won’t ever return.

Starter was very average. Main course wasn’t great either. The meat lacked flavour, gravy was watery and bland, mash wasn’t thick enough, and vegetable options were limited. Desert was average. Used to be £5 cheaper, and the quality was better, in the past. Yes… Inflation, but if the server didn’t give you extra meat you didn’t ask for, maybe they wouldn’t need to increase prices.

This was recommended to me by a trusted friend, well I used to trust them... Uninterested waitress, had to ask repeatedly for a new drink, or a missed starter/dessert. The carvery, I was told, was something to be excited about, however, usual meat choice, with veg options of mash, peas and carrots, roast potatoes and cabbage 🤮 - none of it was great, average at best... All in, not recommended, plus the pub smells like musty old feet, I won't be revisiting.

The most scrumptious mash potato I’ve ever had and I love the way you can have as much as you want of everything not just vegetables. Drinks are always snappy and large variety. Even for people who don’t fancy the carvery there are other options and a great choice of puddings if you’re not too full

The food quality was okay , I've had better. Good portion size. The service provided was very good and the staff are all friendly. Atmosphere was strange , very quiet and music playing in the back ground. The restraunt is very clean. Parking is a nightmare. Very expensive for the quality of food. I wouldn't visit again based on the cost and parking. I would recommend for a special occasion and an okay Sunday roast.

Food was amazing and they gave me boxes to take what I couldn't manage home. The staff were so lovely and wanted to help as much as possible. Would definitely return and can't recommend more.

The cost was well above the quality of food, and the vegetables were sprouts and carrots, roast potatoes were soggy and not crisp, But the beef was lovely and so was the turkey. I thought it was meant to be pork but was ham.... Will not be recommending it to anyone, and will definitely not be going again.

A meat feast of top quality. Lovely pate to start and the best ice cream to finish it all off. All the staff are great. We were waited on by Lewis, whom we thought was a very pleasant young man and good fun. Only niggle was the restaurant was a wee bit chilly. Overall very enjoyable and recommend with ease.

First time experience of the Huntsman Carvery. Impressed doesn't even begin to cover it, reminded me of going out for a Carvery back in the 80s with my grandparents. 3 courses of traditional food. The Carvery itself, outstanding. As a first time, thought I should try all the meats to make sure how good it really was. Normally Beef is over done or so rare the connective tissues and fats haven't started to break down. This Beef was perfect, cut like butter. The Chef had even done some belly pork as an extra which was beautiful melt in the mouth. They also had Turkey and gammon, both of which cooked perfectly. The portion size of the meats you got given was huge. Even the Texan Americans would be impressed with size of it. Homemade sausages, to go along with the Yorkshire puddings, not greasy or swimming in excess fat like some places. Will be going back in the future, once I feel the need to eat my body weight in meat again.

We used to visit the Huntsman for special occasions and decided to book it for our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve as we have great memories of the place. What a disappointment. While the food was good, the service was dreadful. Lots of younger staff who weren’t interested and stood around avoiding eye contact while we cleared our own plates. Dinner plates were still in place on the table when they took the dessert order and then tried to serve it, so they had to take dessert back and clear the table. No drinks orders taken. And unfortunately it was dirty with horribly sticky tables and a real shabby feel to the whole place. A real shame as our family has many lovely memories of visiting to mark birthdays and special occasions over the years, but it feels stuck in a time warp (not in a good way - more a haven’t bothered to spend any money on the place way). While I understand they have a particular look and atmosphere to maintain, I think they do need to invest in the decor, cutlery, carpets etc as it all makes for a very cheap feeling environment. Won’t be visiting again.

Just the best Carvery in Warwickshire. Honestly, you just can’t go wrong with the food here. Everything is delicious. Whilst the price may seem a bit high for ‘just a carvery’, it’s actually three courses (we had to get our starters to go as we knew we wouldn’t be able to manage all three courses in one go) and, if you don’t move your plate on from the meats section, it’ll just keep coming. The meat selection is great and tasty, the veg is plentiful and tasty and the staff are just lovely too. I can definitely recommend the devils food cake and I can highly recommend the huntsman overall.

The starters, roast meat and desserts were excellent but it was let down by everything else. Vegetables (only sprouts & carrots) were overcooked, vegetarian option (only vegi sausages) had been preordered but forgot, waitress just wanted us out as quickly as possible.

Not great. Done it. Once is enough. meat was mostly ok, but my son had 50% fat on his 3 large slices of beef. He got lower half of joint which was poor. So most of his was waste. Lager was flat. Table all sticky, like fresh varnish feel. Seating not comfortable. Pork offering wasn't there so no idea why Sunday was extra money as only 3 offerings same as Saturday. Meant to be 4. Except gammon instead of pork. You get lots of food but I guess hit, miss on quality. Some like fat. We certainly don't. Pudding nice. Stater OK.
