Great place for a picnic (don't forget to take your rubbish with you). Just a great open space in the centre of Ashby. During the summer, Ashby cricket club play on here and there's the annual Fake festival in late May/early June and the Ashby proms during August. Great for a kick about with your friends. Don't forget your jumpers for goalposts. It is very flat, so great for parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users. There isn't any parking, but there are a few local pay and display car parks in the town. If you don't mind a 10 minute walk you can park in some of the side roads. There isn't any facilities, so if you need a toilet, there are some public toilets next to JD Whetherspoons (2 minute walk) or just use Whetherspoons. During the warmer months (pre/post covid)it is also used for The Fake Festival, Ashby Proms, Jim's Tractor Run and a few others. Visible from The Bath Grounds are the ruins of Ashby Castle.

Best pizza in the summer from Biddulph’s with a few drinks from the cricket club to enjoy on the Bath Grounds. *Friday evenings*

Lovely spot, just a few hundred yards from Ashby High St. Great for picnicking and people-watching on a Summer's day.

An oasis in centre of Ashby de la Zouch and within a glimpse of Ashby Castle. Look for any summer events or festivals or a cricket match. Lacks toilet facilities and children's playground but pleasant green space. Dog friendly so please 'pick up'.

Lovely walk and place to exercise dogs! Cricket in the summer and a bowling green. Also tip top events held here annually, eg Jim's Tractor Run. Past events have included battle re-enactments! The only reason it gets a 4 star rating is because it has a tendency to flood, and thus be muddy! So wear your wellies and enjoy the puddles?!

Nice and quiet and good for a walk with the dog. Outside of covid, Friday nights at the Bath grounds, where the kids get to run about, is always a treat; with beer served from the cricket club and food vans in attendance. Hopefully they never get their way and build houses on it!!

Ashby’s historic Bath Grounds is an area of parkland close to the town centre. The grounds are used everyday by residents and visitors who come to enjoy this beautiful communal space. There are many benches located around the grounds to sit on and relax or reflect. There are also a small number of memorial benches. These are available to purchase via the Memorial Bench Application Request. The grounds are also used for events such as the popular ‘Jim’s Tractor Run’ and ‘Ashby Sport Fun Day‘. The Bath Grounds benefits from support from volunteer groups including the Friends of Ashby Bath Grounds, who were instrumental in the implementation of the all-weather Heritage Trail – scroll down for details. The Town Council remains committed to maintaining the Bath Grounds in line with the Green Flag Scheme. The Bath Grounds is home to Ashby Hastings Cricket Club & Ashby Bowls Club who have both been playing on the grounds for over 100 years. Map of Bath grounds showing access points. Red is pedestrian, Blue is vehicular.

Nice place to go but spoilt by idiots smashing glass all around the paths and grass verge. Picked another handfull up this morning. Dog mess dotted about the field, disgusting. Quite a few people about walking their dogs, nice to see.
