My friends and I stayed as a group of 12 and had a fantastic time at Rue Hill campsite. Lorraine (the owner) was so friendly and helpful. It can be really difficult finding a campsite for a large group but this was perfect for us. We used the on-site football nets and the field was large enough for us to play rounders. We also had the space to host our own sports day tournament. We didn’t explore the local area much as we had planned activities on site. We went to the Yew Tree Inn for an evening meal - about 30 mins walk downhill on the way there so be prepared for an uphill walk back. The walk there is also lacking in footpath which is fine in daylight but a bit treacherous at night. The fire pit areas are great and logs are dropped off daily on request for £10. The showers were lovely and hot and the bathroom area generally was really clean. Will definitely go back! Thanks Lorraine! From Cabbages x
