I stayed here for a couple of days as part of a mental health retreat. We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday to be greeted by Sarah and Darren plus an unexpected evening meal to take the edge off the travel. The location is stunning come rain or shine. It's peaceful and perfect for groups to get away from the rat race. Rooms are all spotless and comfortable, as are the showers and toilets. A large shared lounge area for relaxing by the log burner at night and a well appointed kitchen. If you are self catering or having Sarah cook for you everything is there. Breakfast is lovely, all fresh ingredients with meats from a local butchers, none of your supermarket fayre. There is plenty of outdoor space, from the garden with relaxing chairs to watch the plethora of local birds, to the wood area for camp craft and building an outdoor fire for a cozy night with the marshmallows. On the edge of Wales Dark skies area, this place is perfect for star gazing. Close to several excellent walks. Quite literally arrived as a stranger and left as a friend. Sarah and Darren are brilliant, everything is provided for you, service is brilliant you don't have to lift a finger if you don't want to. Hope to see you again soon.

Light, bright, airy and spacious! A very comfortable & well looked after bunkhouse in a beautiful & quiet location. The perfect place to get away from it all. Superb hosting from Sarah & Darren - good conversation, lovely breakfast & spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!

Thank you Sarah and Darren for making us so welcome at the Hideaway, the food was fab as were coffee and tea (seriously good brewing on both accounts) and thanks also for the great company. Not forgetting the great location and views perfect for the outdoors and comfy in the evenings. Look forward to meeting again some day. David

Darren and Sarah were wonderful hosts for our two night stay this October 2023. This stay was part of our Wales motorcycle tour and the Hafren Hideaway suited us perfectly. Motorcycle friendly, quiet and well located for our trip. We had B&B and evening meal and spent a lovely evening chatting with Sarah and Darren after dinner. The facilities were absolutely spotless. Well equipped shower rooms and toilets. Bedrooms warm and cosy and clean and tidy with lots of thought taken every step of the way. Will definitely be back if the opportunity arises. Thanks Colin

Such a great place to stay even if like me it was for only one night during a solo cycling tour. Sarah and Darren make you feel at home, have a great story to tell, and have a great place here. I cannot recommend it enough, it’s superb. Fantastic facilities, from log burner, to kitchen, to rooms, showers, lounge area, you name it, it’s all great😀As was breakfast… I really do hope to come back again for a longer visit to the area, and if so, will definitely try to stay with you guys

This is a great place to stay if you are doing the Lon Las Cymru cycling route. We were welcomed with Welsh cakes and had an amazing dinner and breakfast. Sarah and Darren were great hosts and we even managed to wash and dry our cycling clothes. The setting and views are stunning. The Hideaway is spotlessly clean, comfy beds and has a great lounge area to relax in the evening.

Just stayed for 3 nights as part of a walking and cycling group. Don't normally write reviews but felt I had to after such a great time there. We stayed B&B and evening meal cooked by Sarah, who is a truly great host. Accommodation was spot on, with good showers, comfy pillows, clean throughout and well equipped. No need to worry about the food - it was great, with clean plates all round - and there's always a brew on the go. The location is fantastic, with spectacular views and great wildlife - we even saw an Osprey and chicks with a telescope provided by Sarah. No hesitation in recommending this place. It's a gem. Thanks for a memorable 3 days.
