This is the first time myself and my dog ride a steamboat! It was a nice and enjoyable way to enjoy the Murray river. Captain also share some interesting facts with us. Dog friendly definitely is a bonus! ⭐

Great way to see some of the Murray River. It was a nice relaxing way to spend our lunchtime cruising on the paddle steamer while hearing the history of the river and surrounding areas. Also, really liked seeing the exposed steam engine on the boat. Definitely recommend getting some tickets and having a beer or wine as you relax on the cruise.

Wonderful trip on the paddle boat. Nice commentary and very attentive crew on board. Looked after the 3 elderly who had mobility issues very well. Worthwhile taking the cruise.... money's worth.

The 1 hour cruise on PS Canberra was brilliant! What a great way to spend an afternoon. Going back in time to see this amazing steam powered engine glide us along the Murray River in Echuca. Commentary was perfect, so much history along those waters.

I have to begin with a cautionary word for dog owners taking their dogs aboard the PS Pevensey. If it's a hot day, avoid this boat as the ground can get too hot (metal) and potentially burn your dog's paws. Apart from that, it's a fun one hour cruise down the river. There is a commentary onboard and you learn a little of the history of the port, the river, the paddlesteamers. There are 3 rooms you can enter which also show what it was like onboard in the past.

My husband, parents and I went on the PS Canberra with a toddler and it was such a great experience. A nice and relaxed trip up the Murray. Our tour guide/Captain gave an entertaining and informative commentary. We learnt a lot!

Our one hour cruise was over crowded with some people not able to get seats or have a good view. Staff lovely and paddle steamer and historic info was great.

Just came back from a week on the PS Emmylou. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. Friendly and entertaining crew, wonderful food and lovely scenery. The excursions to interesting places really broadened our knowledge and appreciation of the region. It was an unforgettable holiday.

Great experience to go on a paddlesteamer - something a little different to modern life. Was very peaceful to sit on this. Highly recommended to do this if you are in the area

Had an amazing time on the Canberra Paddle Steamer today. It was an hour cruise up the river. The skipper is quite informative telling us lots of interesting information. The boat is the oldest and is quite well maintained. Plenty of seating up and downstairs, bow and stern. Canteen and toilets on board. Friendly staff. Good for children. Has disabled access. Please advise the office to stock more up to date and attractive souvenirs of the Canberra. The office seems to portray that it is all about the Emy Lou. Even the shortbread biscuits we bought with our tickets online were about the Emy Lou. Cheers. :)

Great to get on the old steamer and had a really nice lunch. Got the premium package but then told it was only 1 drink each way despite not specifing on website and making it sound complimentary. At $25 a head, drinks package not worth it, but otherwise a good lunch and boat ride.

We went on the Canberra paddlesteamer. It was not the best weather, but the Canberra had undercover area so you could get out of wind and rain. The Captain and his crew were very good to talk to about the boat and history of river and wharf. Thanks, very enjoyable.

The river is swollen - board walks are under water, river speed signs are barely visible and the Echuca boat club building's ground floor is awash. All this makes for excellent viewing as you sit aboard the Arbuthnot paddlesteamer. $28 for adult tickets for an hour cruise. It's a smaller boat and therefore not as crowded with passengers and so offers a great close up viewing of the stoker going his job. A commentary is provided on this boat's history as well as the others you pass on the river.

Had a lovely day on the PS Emmy Lou today, having a lunch cruise. Lunch options were really good and affordable. I had the burger, which was amazing, one if the test I've had. The kids enjoyed their nuggets and chips. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone!!

Best way to experience the early years of the Australian nation. Short cruises on Paddle Steamers have narration from the Captain and give details of the harbour, vessels and people who worked the wharf. Dinner on the Emmylou is a wonderful experience, seeing the river as the sun sets and dining is magical. These cruises, either short or longer with meals are highly recommend.

My boyfriend had never seen a paddle steamer before so this was a fantastic way for him to learn about the early years in Australia and have a cruise on one. We chose the Emmy Lou and we had a table for 2 along the side of the boat. Highly recommend for anyone that wants a to learn about life on the river, we booked in advance so we knew we could definitely get a spot. Ticket prices were very reasonable.
