Gobsmacked by the succulent, juicy and melt-in-your-mouth slow cooked beef that was loaded generously into our sandwiches. Very filling and loved every bite. The sweet potato hash was so nourishing and the perfect side. Again, generous serving there too. Great little Cafe you must visit. Seating can get quite cosy with other diners but that's the vibe. Lovely find!

This is one of the few places in the world that I am quite happy to return to day after day! The quality of every dish is very high, with generous portions and very reasonable prices.. The service is efficient and my friend was very happy with her coffee (I'm not a coffee drinker).. Overall, it's hard not to say this is the best breakfast/brunch spot in Melbourne!

For more information pls DM my IG @enjoyhappylife.ig This restaurant is one of my favorite spots in Melbourne. The food is incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, making it even more appetizing, and it leaves you craving for more. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice, and the taste still leaves a lasting impression. My favorite dish is the Southern Chicken Waffle because I adore fried chicken, and this dish perfectly balances sweet and sour flavors. However, if you're a beef enthusiast, I would recommend trying their other fantastic dishes as well.

One of the nicest places that I endeavour to visit when I find myself on a trip to Melbourne. The best chicken and waffles, alongside one of the most rich, creamy flat whites I have ever had in my life. The menu is diverse, and you’ll find something for everyone when visiting. The atmosphere is cosy and warm, especially on a cool winters day and the staff are lovely and attentive. Till next time!

25 min wait for a table. Food was worth the wait. We had Shakshuka w Italian meatballs (day special), haloumi bagel, Southern fried chicken waffles and the omelette pastrami roll. Enjoyed every morsel! Coffee is good, as was the special bev of the day: Hot spiced apple tea. We highly recommend B2W.

Delicious food and coffee with rapid service. We are from Sydney and were a little blindsided by the whopping 12% surcharge on a Saturday as this doesn't occur anywhere we've ever been. The surcharge was almost the value of 2 more coffees - a deterrent for ever returning on a weekend.

I must say, the staff here are not only friendly but incredibly helpful, which adds a special touch to the experience. And the coffee? Simply excellent. For our meal, we tried the corn and sweet potato hash, as well as the mushroom and haloumi bagel. Both dishes were a delight to the taste buds. While the options for vegetarians were a bit limited, the quality of the coffee and hot chocolate certainly made up for it

This cafe brings a ton of NYC charm to Melbourne I tried the roasted potatoes and corn and pastrami sandwiches , it was exceptional. One of my favorite brunch spots that I would recommend to anyone.

I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. A nice combo of savory and sweet Although I do prefer my waffle to be a little more crispy, it was still nice.

Great breakfast joint for comfort food Make sure you bring your appetite, the servings are generous and those watching your calories you may want to look elsewhere. As the name suggests there’s a heavy American influence and I can recommend the Cuban, Philly Cheesesteak and smoked salmon bagel. The homemade lemonade with mint is also another winner, not too sweet and lightly carbonated, delicious. I’ll be back to sample more dishes

[Sep 2023] My tummy doesn’t do it justice since I get bloated quickly from beef. It was really delicious for their 14-hour beef brisket specialty. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Portion is very big and the vegetables were not an overkill. Very awesome dishes

The best Shakshuka in Melbourne. The Italian meatballs option was divine. Baked eggs cooked to perfection with a capsicum and tomato base. The brioche was perfect to soak up the mouth-watering flavours. My new go-to breakfast location.

Amazing bagels! Quality ingredients and a good size portion, so fresh! Worth the 30min wait. Only thing is that they charge for the tomato sauce which I reckon is a bit steep after ordering so much food.

Lunch takeaway - $23 for just a burger Extremely disappointed. Worst experience ever for ordering a takeaway burger. First of all, they are not friendly and no cutlery provided even a paper of napkins. I just took 5 mins to get back to the office and opened the box. There was just a burger and water or juice everywhere. The buns were soggy because of the water. I didn't enjoy it at all. Tasted just a normal burger, nothing special. Maybe different if the buns were not soggy.

Decent spot for a sandwich, I'd recommend it. Maybe don't try the BBQ brisket and bacon burger for your first time. It was good, but probably try a sandwich speciality. Reuben looked real good. Skip the mac and cheese and go for the latkes. Service was good, no complaints there. Inside can be a little cramped. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great cafe on Oliver lane (next to Russel) for weekend brunch. Went around 10:30 on Saturday and had to wait for ~25 minutes for a table. only the centre long table has chairs and all other seats are bar stools. You have to share the centre table with others but we got a corner so it was ok. Food was great and came out pretty quickly (fastest service I’ve ever had at a cafe). Had the turkey sandwich, sweet potato hash and the Southern fried chicken. Latkes were a bit dense so didn’t finish those. Flat white I had was pretty good. Friendly staff. One toilet on site which was not very clean so I didn’t use it (perhaps would be good to keep a bin outside to collect hand towels). Would visit again to try the bagels and other offerings.

Can't wait to come back! Brunch was so good, couldn't decide what to get. My daughter loved the waffles and chicken and the roast pork po'boy was delish. Service was fast, atmosphere hit the mark despite dreary Melbourne weather.

Cute brunch place serving foods which made me nostalgic of North American foods 😋 this place was crowded and we had to wait to be seated but it was worth it. The peanut butter hot chocolate was delish - must try when you visit here. Bagel menus, Phillip cheese steak sandwich, smoked ham sandwich, etc etc so many options to choose from. I would definitely go back for another weekend brunch!!

Name a better sandwich place in Melbourne. Such diversity and always consistent. If you can’t eat in you can always grab a takeaway. These sandwiches are so good and filling that I never have room for the amazing looking dessert

Was looking forward to try the reuben sandwich and peanut butter hot chocolate and was not disappointed! The reuben sandwich portion size was crazy as they did not go easy on the fillings. Overall, it was delicious and very value for money. Hoping to try the bagel next!

The staff are very friendly and the food is good but not great. Don't think of it as being genuinely New York and you'll enjoy it more. The seating is great if you're young, hip and don't mind yelling across the table while eating breakfast. Not ideal if you're with someone with accessibility issues. The coffee is weak and Milky (which might be how you like it, but they'll charge you the price of an extra coffee if you need to add a shot for flavour.

W2B is spectacular! Great value for money, large meals and drink to fill you up for the day ahead. Fast service and friendly staff, a wining combination. The shakes were delicious and very large. The Rueben pastrami on Rye sandwich was an amazing combination of flavours, top with a pickle. The filling on the sandwiches is also very generous!

Stumbled on this place on chance. One of The Best pastrami bagels I think I have ever had! Lots of warm, soft pastrami, the right amount of pickles, mustard and cream cheese, all on a beautiful everything bagel. Iced latte was strong and delicious.

Cherished this spot. Staff are well disposed and set desires for you toward the beginning. Have somewhat of a comical inclination too which is constantly a decent sign there making the most of their activity. We had the bagels which albeit a little pricey, where scrumptious. Incredible spot for a nibble in the city.

Good for breakfast 🍳 To start my day, I went here for breakfast. They were already open as early as 7ish am. The place was kinda small so I was seated to a communal table. But there were table outside if someone would like to sit on their own. I ordered shakshouka, a dish I just learned cooking thru youtube. So I wanna try the restaurant version. And it was good. I liked it, perfect for my breakfast meal. The size is perfect that I was able to finish it. The taste is so delicious that I could eat it again on my next visit. But if given the chance, I will be thorn if shakshouka again or try their other meal instead. Other meals look promising too.

The chicken and waffles were delicious! The chicken had a nice seasoning and came with spiced maple syrup....my only hangup is that it didn't come with more. The waffle was really buttery and more savoury than sweet. The service was fast and friendly. We sat on the communal table, which was fine, but the end we were sitting on was quite tight, so I was banging elbows with the people on either side of me. But the food makes it worth it.

New favourite brunch spot! Recommend: fried chicken and waffles Smoked Brisket and eggs Love their fried chicken and waffles. Perfect sweetness and savouriness, hit every spot! The onion bagel was a delight, especially its aroma. However, the pastrami was a tad too salty, otherwise it did be a perfect dish for me. The chicken waffle was $25, standard price for a brunch spot. Can’t wait to try their Philly cheesesteak and brisket next! Update: I came back to try the Philly cheesesteak. Although the bread was crispy and the meat was juicy, the taste completely threw me off( no flavours at all). So bland… The brisket is amazing, juicy, tender and full of flavours and the sauce that came with it was perfect. As for the shashuka baked egg with smoke salmon, sour-cream and avocado. It was ok though I wish they did serve it with rye bread (for the texture)and not soft toast.

Fried chicken and waffles. That’s all I have to say. I’m kidding, there’s more. B2W were so accommodating for the large group that I booked for and they set up a table for us outside prior to arriving. Service was attentive. Everyone was happy with their food and the menu presented a fairly wide range of choices for different preferences. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles (of course) which came with Chantilly spiced butter, maple syrup and I think coriander. An insane flavour combo that just leaves you wanting more and more.

Tucked away on Oliver Lane, this little slice of NYC serves some of the best sandwiches in town. I was greeted by a super friendly staff, and I ordered the Pastrami on Rye – Pastrami beef brisket, German mustard, house slaw with a pickle on rye; with a flat white on the side. I have to say that this was the juiciest pastrami sandwich I’ve had in a long time! fresh ingredients, generous quantity, and just perfect. Next time I want to try their other famous sandwiches: The Reubens, Roasted Turkey Club, Good Morning Cubano, and Philly Cheese Steak. They apparently also have a mean Southern Fried Chicken on Waffles! Must try! And you must have a chat with Michelle. She is super friendly!

The menu sounds delicious however most of the dishes left much to be desired. The best dish we got was the sandwich and I’d strongly recommend getting that as that’s what they are known for. I really wanted to enjoy the slow cooked beef and nashville fried chicken, however they were lacking flavour. Overall vibe of the place is great! Definitely a great way to start your weekend.

Came across this gem on our way to another place for breakfast. Glad we opted to dine here. Food was good and the service was quick and very polite. There was a fairly big queue as we sat down , showing the place is really popular. Ran into a popular tennis star while we ate, due to AO being on.

It was a lengthy wait to be seated at the perpetually popular NYC diner-style brunch spot Bowery 2 Williamsburg, but we loved every bite of the Lox and Potato Latkes, and the Southern Fried Chicken Waffle. The sweetness of the spiced butter complimented the savoury side of the waffles perfectly. 🧇

I love this place, awesome food, good coffee, nice staff. Gets very busy on the weekends, so try and get in early. Lost a star for atmosphere due to some homeless dude claiming to be Jesus accosting me and my fam out front, but I suppose that's a Melbourne feature. 8yo refuses to go now so restricted to work visits

Great service, food portion is good and fulfilling. Tried the Philly cheese steak, the beef was so tender and it was good overall. Potato Latkes was ok I would recommend to order pickles with the food as there is no much salt in the food.

I had an item on their specials menu - the Reubenedict. Bread was superb, really light and fluffy, eggs were also really well done. The meat was unfortunately too salty to my liking. Had an iced chocolate as well which was really ordinary.

Had a Philly cheesesteak here and it was incredible, the provolone cheese melted perfectly into the bun, the roasted beef brisket was cooked to tenderly perfection and absolutely melts in your mouth. Very keen to revisit this spot and try their other sandwiches!

Another good solid brunch place. Very friendly welcoming service. Big shared tables inside. Mostly savoury on the menu but very good waffle options for the kids. I went for the fried chicken waffle which was good though I would have preferred a bit more fried. No complaints about the waffles. Disappeared in no time Not sure if you can book we just ticked up and went on the wait list. Took about 20 minutes for us to get table of four at 11am on a Saturday. Which didn’t seem to bad.

Loved this place so much we came twice within a week! Staff were all lovely, coffee top quality, and the food was delicious & serving generous. Mind. Blown. I don’t give 5 stars easily but I was skeptic that an expensive Philly cheesesteak will be THAT good. It is. It so is. The meat is perfect and the amount is generous. There is the perfect amount of cheese on there. I barely resisted hopping back on ubereats and ordering another delivery. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu, reuben especially!

This is a very hipster joint, and as such the food doesn't disappoint. I couldn't bring myself to have the Elvis Presley (banana, peanut butter, etc. on waffles) but instead settled on the hash - it was amazing. I will probably be back tomorrow for the Presley! Edit: I did go back. The Presley didn't disappoint either.

Melbourne is known for its great eateries-sadly this was one of the worst eating experiences we’ve ever had as visitors to Melbourne. Split milk coffee, frozen fruit with granola, diabolical rubber scrambled eggs... please take our advice and skip this as a breakfast option when there are so many better options in the city.

Friendly and helpful staff! We were seated quickly and our order taken within five minutes. I got the Elvis waffles and they were just incredible. I had worried they might be overly sweet but they were a perfect balance and I haven't stopped thinking about them since! The chicken waffles were also incredible. The potato latkes were good, just not the right dish to choose on a colder day perhaps!

Great breakfast and lunch place with a Jewish-inspired menu (+ bacon lol) Delicious food and friendly staff. Came on a Sunday morning at about 11am. 10min wait for a table but staff were open with us and listening to enquires of all customers. Be mindful sitting inside you may be placed on a communal table squashed together with others but we were able to chat to the strangers next to us about the menu (which you wouldn’t usually do with a private table). Private tables have stools and the communal table has chairs with backings. Coffees usually come with a Hershey’s Kiss. Portion sizes (esp waffles and sandwiches) are American size, if you don’t have a large appetite best to share your meal with someone.

Always my favourite place to stop in for breakfast when I'm in the city. I've tried many on the menu but it's hard to look past the perfect slow roast! Walking in the front door, you are instantly greated by the homely smell of multiple roasts, amazing soups, and an awesome coffee to top it all off. The staff are friendly and give you the treatment of a visiting family friend. Whether you are grabbing a quick coffee, looking for a nibble, or starved for a hearty meal, this place never fails to deliver.

Strongly recommend sitting inside, outside is very noisy with truck deliveries regularly when I was there. I really enjoyed my chicken burger with Mac and cheese but my friend wasn't so lucky with her order. There was a wait to be seated at 11am on a weekday so best to book if possible. My experience was fine but probably will continue to explore Melbourne's Cafes next time I'm in town.

  • 5/5 Frederick F. 2 years ago on Google
Been coming here for years and it's always been reliably delicious. Servings are generous, the service is always friendly and the prices are reasonable for what you get. It's not a cheap place, but you definitely get enough quality food for what you pay. The decor inside is lovely as is the outdoor seating (unless you have idiots driving cars and trucks up the lane!) My one quibble is that the amount of pickle has reduced - you used to get a whole pickle but the last time I ordered I only received half of one.

Great food, located quietly away on Oliver lane. Visited on a Saturday afternoon, a short wait to walk-in. Very friendly service. There's a long table and a good few smaller tables in and outdoors to suit all parties. We had the waffles, beef brisket bagel and peanut butter hot choc. All delicious and came out quick. The checked decor and fonts does make it feel like a New York subway.

Super friendly service. We had the Philly cheese steak and the Fried Chicken Waffle, the Philly cheese steak was loaded with brisket and certainly cheesy, too. The drinks are good, especially the peanut butter chocolate. But, the fried chicken was not at all crispy and over-fried with an overly thick coating on that day. Overall, would come back again for other sandwiches on the menu, tried the brisket, next time will try the roast beef.

Fantastic deli to great brunch. Incredibly popular so expect a queue but don’t let that deter you! Queue will go down incredibly quick and get a coffee to takeaway while you wait. Staff are friendly and attentive and the place is buzzing with atmosphere. Sound of the kitchen fills the restaurant making it such a lively experience!

This has been on the list for a while, and though there is a long wait for a table, I’d say it’s worth it ✔️ hard to find a quality New York diner style place! To start, the peanut butter hot choc was a nice treat! Must order for sure! The fried chicken and waffles lived upto all the hype. The fried chicken was well seasoned and very crispy. The waffle was ‘melt in the mouth’ perfect. Mac n cheese side was also really nice, not too dry & the cheesy sauce was great. The egg & halloumi shakshuka was not overly flavourful but still light & nice on a winters day. Unfortunately we were sat outside, and it was freezing and their heaters are sparse 😬 pretty uninspiring outdoor seating too, so thats the reason for the missing star.

Best breakfast we've had in two weeks traveling in Aus (Sydney to Melbourne). Lovely (if not calorific) food. We had Fried chicken wallfles, a side of potato latkas and two coffees. That was enough for three people (though they do have lighter options). Really friendly service too. Bill came to 35 dollars so decent value. Highly recommended, just come hungry and forget about the diet.
