Movida
is
an
institution
of
Melbourne's
dining
scene
that
we
have
wanted
to
visit
for
a
very
long
time.
The
Spanish
restaurant
serves
a
range
of
Tapas
(small
entrees
bites),
Raciones
(Sharing
dishes)
and
desserts,
alongside
a
rather
generous
wine
list.
Before
our
they
served
us
freshly
baked
bread
with
olive
oil
and
salt.
A
warm
and
satisfying
appetiser.
For
Tapas
we
enjoyed
Anchoa
-
Cantabrian
Artisan
Anchovy
on
Crouton
with
Smoked
Tomato
Sorbet.
This
was
a
deliciously
salty
snack,
with
the
highlight
being
the
cooling
tomato
sorbet
that
we
were
asked
to
spread
on
our
crouton.
Gambas
These
chargrilled
Skull
Island
Prawn
were
amazing.
They
were
butterfly
cut
and
topped
with
chilli,
garlic
and
Aioli,
this
combination
of
flavours
really
pops.
Morcilla,
Chorizo
and
Pork
Belly
with
braise
white
beans.
This
authentic
Spanish
dish
was
amazing.
I’ve
never
tried
the
Morcilla
before.
It
was
a
spicy
and
sweet
blood
sausage.
The
chorizo
sausage
was
very
succulent
but
the
portion
could
have
been
a
bit
more
generous.
The
pork
belly
had
the
crispiest
skin
on
top.
The
beans
and
sauce
just
gave
this
dish
so
much
balance
to
the
intense
flavours
of
the
meats.
Must
order
dish!
The
service
of
the
front
of
house
team
was
great,
they
really
knew
their
dishes.
They
have
an
allergy
menu
for
dairy
free
diners
like
myself.
We
took
our
daughter
along,
but
we
wouldn’t
do
it
again,
it’s
an
adults
only
scene.
If
you’re
looking
for
great
Spanish
cuisine
in
Melbourne,
you’ve
gotta
check
out
Movida!
