We hosted a small, casual family gathering in the Lounge at Campari House. I couldn’t recommend it enough - we received comments all night about how fabulous the venue and food was. The event staff were incredibly professional, capable and efficient. I just wanted to say thanks for making our night so special.

Been here twice. The rooftop here is quite a chilled out spot. It's always crowded and drinks and food are reasonably priced. You won't get the view of the city skyline, but if you want to hangout in an open area, then this is a good place. Their pizzas were good. Had their soft shell tacos with prawns as well, which was quite good.

Cool place, multi level bar options. Excellent pizza! We tried most options, pick is pieces from each. Also good, welcoming staff. Only negative was $14 schooners... tad rich in my view. Would go again though maybe look for "happy hr"

Cool bar and a nice venue. Lots of stairs to climb to get to the top. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed when I went, but looked really good. Not a great place for beer choice, but cocktail menu looked extensive. Would come back.

What a excellent service and delicious food!! 100% recommended!! We shared Stuffed mushrooms, fetta and parmesan, we couldn't order anything better as an entry. Main plates were Margherita pizza and 300gr of Striploin grass fed no words to describe the taste and softness of these dishes!!!

TLDR: tasty pizza, cold chips, extremely slow service, pricey Full review: after hours work event on the rooftop. Food arrived over 1 hour after ordering, even though it was food that's generally quick to prepare: Antipasto platter, chips, pizzas, cauliflower arancini balls, stuffed "mushrooms". More, the chips arrived cold. I guess at least they were still crispy. The pizza was really delicious but not worth an hour wait. The stuffed mushroom was $16 for just the one singular mushroom.

Just not very pleasing. Average service and ambience. But they do have multiple seating options including a rooftop bar. Seemed to get busy after work hours with many offices around.

Could not fault my first dinner visit here. Booked with the fork's 50% off food offer and they did not lack in any aspect! Located on the quieter side of hardware lane. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable. Told out straight off what wasn't available on the wine list and made a recommendation. Didn't appreciate the 2nd waiter over pouring our $70 bottle of bubbly (lost some to the table haha) but he was apologetic and disppointed it happened for the first time in 3 years of working. Antipasto was one of the best i've had. Perfect mix of cold cuts, cheese, pickles and grilled veg. All our mains came out at the same time and were cooked well. Ravioli, lamb cutlets & t-bone steak. Shared the cocolate mousse. Different in texture, but flavours and presentation were there. Thank you for a great night out. Excellent service, food and wine. Very much worth visiting even without the 50% offer. Hoping for same level and consistency on our next visit...there will definitely be a next visit ;)

Rooftop bar, where the view is the open blue sky and the skyscrapers taller than you. Yah can't really see down at all, unless you go to the slightly hidden smokers area - turn left at the top of the stairs before you head into the bar. LOTS of stairs, so not pram or wheelchair friendly (unless I missed a lift somewhere). Cool chill vibe and clean bathrooms. Drinks were good too.

Have allergies and looking at dining out in Melbourne. Be sure to check out Campari House. Don't let the 'Italian' menu decide before asking. Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff, to seriously delicious food. Be sure to check out the rooftop bar for a drink after dinner.

Went to this rooftop bar for happy hour drinks. Be ready to climb up stairs to the top, the view was nice and the happy hour drinks was definitely worth the value.

Campari is a chill roof top bar. Make sure you come during happy hour as they have really good deals. Food was good, although this is not the place to get stuffed. Staff was extremely friendly even though they messed up our order, they surely made up for it! No need for reservations, walk-ins are welcome. Good place for dates or catching up with friends in the CBD.

Campari House rooftop is fantastic and the food was amazing. We had a large group booking and the food came out on time with no hiccups. The bar staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Keep up the great work.

  • 2/5 Michael R. 4 years ago on Google
Service was terrible. I know it's a great rooftop bar and it was a warm sunny day at lunchtime so probably no need for the staff to try overly hard but 1 menu between 5 and when asked if we could have couple more just got told to share (they were not even busy at this stage). Meals brought out without cutlery and then advised that we would need to go and collect from the bar. Staff could not be more disinterested

Decent place to get a drink, located in the heart of Melbourne. Big bonus is it has a rooftop bar, which felt awesome during warmer season. The only downside was during our visit, the bartender had some issues making our drinks - we ordered the tequila sunset (house speciality) and we felt like the poor guy is having difficulties making it.

Food was nice, and quite cheap for lunch ($17 with glass of wine). It came with a very sad looking salad. Atmosphere was average, kinda cold. Still, would definitely return. 🙂

Came here for my birthday in January, owner went above and beyond to ensure us silly girls had the best time. First place I’ll be going after lockdown, great vibes and a safe space for women.

Venue was great. Service very ordinary. On arrival we ordered two drinks. They forgot one. My partner had to go back to the bar to ask after his drink. Three staff were standing behind the bar talking and he had to wait a couple of minutes before being served. There was no apology. Bar staff were not friendly and didn’t appear to enjoy their work. With improved service, it would’ve been a lovely evening.

After visiting the rooftop bar we decided to nip into the Campari for a snack and quick drink. We got a nice table near the bar and ordered a pizza to share. The service was fantastic. I was going to order a bottle of wine off the drinks menu but instead was offered a selection of wines that had been discounted due to last bottles. There's were some great wines on the list and at great prices, picked one off the list and have to say, wine was great, pizza was great. Will be back at some point when in Melbourne again.

Had my 30th at Campari House last weekend in the Lounge Room which we hired out and had a DJ play in. Was a terrific night and really happy with everything from a service perspective! Bar staff were friendly and food was great (and we are fussy Italians). There was a mistake in billing which I contacted the manager about following the night and the difference has just been refunded to my account. Previously had a bucks night here and we had an amazing night then too! Will be coming back for the next event, and from what I heard so will a lot of my guests.

This review relates to the downstairs “cafe Campari “. The food was quite good, the service on the other side was terrible. My entree and main came out together. When I asked why, the waitress just walked away. Later on the bill I saw she had selected “serve together”. Why? I didn’t ever want that. Ordered a glass of wine. When it was empty at no time could the waitress be seen to order another. So the water was good with the rest of the meal. Even when she collected the glass she never offered another. Business must be good. If you can overlook the poor service, the food is nice, but there are lots of other options that offer both good food AND good service.

Their pizza is what I imagine authentic Italian pizza would taste like. No, I haven't had Italian pizza (yet). Good pizza. Decent chips. Such pretty decor! The mirrors near the bathrooms are cute too :) and their staff is friendly and kind. They were considerate and accomodating for specific food requirements (preventing cross contamination between different meats). Really understanding :) There are heaters for outdoor seating which is nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get to visit the rooftop but it's always an option (regardless of weather) unless you buy whatever 'special' is on the menu.

Visited with a friend on Monday night. Began with a drink on the rooftop bar. Happy hour deals are good but bartender spent most of the time on his phone or no where to be seen. Then without a booking walked into the restaurant downstairs. Gentleman on shift was super attentive from beginning to end. Drinks and meals came out quickly and was probably some of the best pasta ive ever eaten in addition to being a promising portion for the price unlike other places in Melbourne.

Campari House has a lot of potential, but just didn't deliver on our visit. Location, and Rooftop are fantastic but the overall quality of food and drinks could improve. Service was friendly but slow. The bartender was stuck servicing the entire rooftop on his own-- not his fault, but still made for a bit of a disappointing experience. The cocktails aren't great. I recommend you stick with beer/wine or the basics here.

Everytime we visit Melbourne we come here for a final dining and boozing experience. Great rooftop to oversee the world go bye whilst being removed from the hustle and bustle of it all. Food is always good with a various selection to satisfy the basic to complex palate.

We performed there on the rooftop bar last night and the team were absolutely fantastic! The moment I go to the top Caesar gave me a huge glass of icy water. Thank you everyone for your help with bringing some of our equipment upstairs. Your food was amazing too! Coolest place we have DJ-ed at in a while!

The events team at Campari House are absolutely atrocious. I locked in a function 3 months in advance with Sharon, had several conversations over the months confirming details and paid a deposit. 6 days before the event for 100 people on their rooftop was due to happen, the venue sent me a text saying they had double booked the space and 'what are your thoughts'. After being told they couldn't host us in an appropriate space - the room they offered was dark, dingy and smelled like bleach - they wouldn't knock anything off the price to apologise for their huge mistake. Instead gave us a strange offer about adding dried oranges. The most shocking thing however, was how little their director Rick seemed to care. He was rude, dismissive and we didn't believe we had previously been double booked as no reasons seemed to make sense. We think they had received a better offer for a different event. Rick didn't even bother to meet with us to discuss the issue, instead sent a member of his team who was not involved and could not offer any solution. Do not book a function with Campari House, they are not trustworthy and have awful management.

Do not come here on a sunny Saturday afternoon if you enjoy an Aperol spritz or sparkling wine. Upon ordering an Aperol spritz from the menu staff advised all the sparkling wine was reserved in case another group wanted it later.
