Came here with my girlfriend a week. Happy hour goes from 5pm till 7pm and starts again from 8pm till 9pm. We have also tried the chicken wings for 6$ and the taco offer for 3$ each (vegetarian option too). Cheap and cool, wine was good too for that price! We will come back soon!

Worst place ever!! Would not recommend. Staff were rude and racist, poor customer service overall. I work in a bar and know that the alcoholic drinks had no alcohol in them yet you pay the same price. Staff kicked out customers before they could finish their drinks. Bad vibe. Not classy at all. Would not waste my money there ever again! Take my word for it

I make a booking for a party of 8 at 19.00 on 23 July. It was a straightforward booking process. When we arrived at the venue, it was easy for us to get sitted and order via the QR code link on the table. Food and drinks were in good amounts and quality. We had a great time chatting away while enjoying the food and drinks. When we finish, we just left. We didn't need to interact with the staff much, but we were served well. I'd say this was the best group dining experience I've ever had in Melbourne so far😀

Don’t bother! There are much nicer joints a stone’s throw away. The “pornstar martini” would be better described as a “fruit punch”. The waitress said it was a premix when I said the drink she delivered didn’t really live up to expectations from the menu photo... Oh and when you read “secret seasoned fries”, just expect chicken salt. Tasted minging anyway!

Beautiful place, excellent vibe. Staff were amazing. Good: Canadian club and ginger ale served in jug, loved it. Nice music. Good was excellent especially the Sliders and Spicy popcorn chicken Bad: The Buffalo wings, Kansas City it was too saucy and I didn't like it. Maybe not at night, but during lunch I think it is safe to come with kids. I would definitely bring my kids for lunch especially to try the sliders.

My first time here. Hospitality is 10/10 here at Father's Office - friendly is an understatement. The manager and his team were very attentive, always checking back if we had further requests. Ordered the humongous 350g Scotch Fillet, cooked perfectly and value for money at $30. The other main, fisherman's basket was a tad too oily but it didn't matter because the service from the staff was super. Special mention to Wayne who had excellent knowledge of beer, and after listening to our preferences, recommended the Lagunitas IPA Beer, which was spot-on.

Father’s Office was a bar/restaurant great for after work drinks (or just drinks in general!); great cocktail selections, spacious modern-ish venue, and central location. It was difficult to have a nice sit down dinner however, as it was way too loud and dark despite being in the restaurant area. The food was mainly those of typical of bar type dishes, and were pretty decent.

Was a bit disappointed overall. Like many restaurants, they don't come to your table anymore to take your order, but force you to use an online system which is time consuming and annoying, every time you want to order something. The parma I ordered at first (cost $26) was a complete rip off, and was tiny. Complained about it, and thankfully they gave me another one that was double the size, so in the end I was happy about that. I would say though that there are many better places in the area.

The bartender let us try a couple drinks before we decided on a jug. The vibes were great and the drinks were great too. The popcorn chicken was really tasty and we enjoyed the chips here too. The vibe was nice and we enjoyed our time here.

Our second visit here (as we are from NSW) and food was just as good as last time. Their wings and chips are so yum! They have the creamiest aioli too, the BEST. Many delicious cocktails with lots of happy hour time. Great value and friendly staff.

Friday at Father's Office. Nice venue with a lot of seating space indoor and outdoor. Have to say gets busy at night. Nice bar with food opinions. We ordered wagyu beef burger and cheesy spring roll but wasn't the best. Chips were pretty good. Overall Nice place for drinks.

I went for dinner at Father's Office, and have been back since for drinks with friends. It's in a great location, right near the State Library but be warned: navigating stairs are required. The highlight was one of their signature dishes - the Baked Camembert. The combination of soft, delicious camembert with the beetroot chutney was decadent and a real delight. Ordering from the table was convenient but you'll get faster drinks going to the bar. I liked the gangster themed wall on the way to the bathroom.

Such a friendly and welcoming venue. Amazing value, delicious food and good quality alcoholic beverages. Our host, Andy, was very kind and honest in the presentation of his offerings and wonderful friendly attitude. We have been here many times and we will continue to return because this is wonderful and good honest Melbourne hospitality. 👍🥰😘

Celebrated my birthday here last week. Extensive beer and cocktail menu. Have previously eaten at their sister location Asian beer cafe. We have decided that anything chicken is generally not amazing, we had bland tasting, dry and poor quality pieces from different plates. The chips platter is amazing as was the chorizo and the Camembert. Great place for a few after work drinks and small plates, close to QV, it’s above it, and Melbourne central.

Me and my partner came to Father's Office at 7:30 pm on a busy friday night to dine in and have dinner. Originally since we had no booking we had to wait for the table to be available. Our server that night was Will and I have to say he did a great service. He made us feel comfortable, checked on us and gave recommendations as well which we happily ordered. We received such good service and we left feeling very full and happy. We are excited to be back and to feel this bar and resto's genuine hospitality.

This place has a great atmosphere. Service was fast. Gluten free options for the food. Had a DJ which was great. Plenty of seating, has a small dance floor, outdoor seating aswell. Great prices.

Great venue for dinner and afterwork drinks with happy hour specials. Their buffalo wings are amazing, choices for food are decent and also quick to come out. Everything was ordered via QR code at the dining table. The dining area is spacious but not much fresh air flowing through or air conditioning strong enough to keep you cool on a hot evening. Customer service was alright, didn't see anyone greet us up on entrance but overall okay when bringing our food and settings and meeting our requests.

They have 5-7 and 8-10 happy hours and thats what makes them different. The staff is so lovely and they smile at us all the time and help us so kindly. The happy hour price is best to enjoy. Buffalo wings was not upto the mark. Happy hours are one you can make good use of. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this CBD gem on our way to the theatre. Friday steak special was amazing. Steak, chips, salad, pepper sauce and salad dressing, with drink was $25. Could not fault this place.

We ordered rib eye fillet (rare), scotch fillet (medium to well)and ribs. The steaks were all well done and the béarnaise sauce out of a packet or tub. I wouldn’t go back here if they offered me a free meal!

Been here twice and it's a very South American orientated bar but allows anybody to come in. Good prices on drinks and the vibe is amazing. Had a great time here with my mates. Loved it.

Firstly this isn't a speakeasy, don't go there expecting one. Secondly we received incredibly rude service. Upon arrival at 830pm on a Thursday night (a group of 5) we were told they were closing at 9 bebause it had been a quiet day. We said we were just after one round of drinks before going somewhere else where we had a booking at 9 and the host asked "really, you sure you'll be gone by 9? The kitchens closed, we've already started closing the bar". He clearly just didn't want to work because three more tables of people were seated by other staff after we were seated. We were forced to order drinks online and pay by credit card which is understandable during covid19,however even using PayPal we were charged a credit card service fee. If you force people to use credit card you shouldn't be charging a credit card fee. Drinks were average for the price, more ice than ingredients. Not sure what was in the long island ice teas but they were clear. I've never seen a clear long island iced tea. Tacky interior with uncomfortable plastic chairs.

Spent the night at the bottomless event and was attended by the fantastic Will. Couldn't ask for a better experience or for a funnier guy who was brilliant at memorising large drink orders and making sure we never died of dehydration. Can recommend highly!

Place popped off. The snacks (chips, chicken popcorn or whatever it is) were way better than they had any reason to be. Like seriously best finger food Ive had in so long. Dance floor was buzzing on Friday night too.

Came here last week and forgot to leave a review. Had a great waiter today, sadly I didn't get his name but he was friendly and gave recommendations for drinks. $69 for a meal, desert, and unlimited drinks for 90 minutes. It took one hour to get our first drink and then the waiter asked us if we would like to order our last drink. The food was average and that would be ok if the cocktails made up for the experience. Unfortunately the lack of attention and inability to deliver the drinks ordered left me very frustrated with this establishment. Save your money. Not worth it.

We ordered 4 vegan menus. Lentil&pumpkin burger, zucchini&macadamia, quinoa &roasted pumpkin salad and cauliflower fries. Most of them were okay. Just... okay I like salad because it was based on rice. Cauliflower fries were okay. Taste like fried cauliflower. Burgers were bit too dry. Oh! Vegan aioli was great. However, I will Never come back again

Bottomless menu, food and drinks were great! 1 staff member got real weird with service at the end. We were cut off more than prematurely...Guess I should of brought my stop watch.

Really great for a night out. It was Latino night and we manage to make friends with other people sitting on our table. Everyone very friendly. The service is good and efficient. There’s also heaters outside so we don’t get cold during the winter while we’re having a cigarette if you’re visiting Melbourne, this is a must place to visit.

  • 5/5 darnell m. 4 years ago on Google
The venue was a little noisey, but after we all settled in it was fine. The food choices were extensive, I had the zucchini burger and was delicious. Others members of our party had meat pie, steak, burgers and they all enjoyed their meals. There is a children's menu and all six of the children were full. The staff were very patient, helpful and friendly.

  • 4/5 Rachel D. 5 months ago on Google
Food was good, and lunch special was worth it with a drink including wine or beer. However the food came out quite late and I had e to eat and rush back to work. So would be good if the food was prepared on time, not more than 20mins wait. Overall was good.

As a Coeliac, attending work functions can be somewhat difficult. In fact, I ordinarily would have opted out of paying for a 3 course meal, however the promise of a GF Parma had my spot booked. I was not disappointed. The meal was really good and the staff handled all my questions really well and did what they could to accommodate me. Recommend for those looking for a casual place to eat a good GF meal

Not exactly a speakeasy per se. The place feels more like a diner than a speakeasy. There’s a nice variety of drinks here. But some of the cocktails could be a little bit too sweet for our liking.

Really good place for an after work drink, however, that comes with the territory of the post office work crowd - it can get very packed during happy hour, so do not expect a seat between 5-7 (happy hour) Overall very cheap and good place to start your night off.

The vibe wasn't what I expected as something advertised as a speak easy. I came in on a Saturday night and it was incredibly busy. Not a nice pub, it's a club. If you're looking for a sit down pub where you don't have to shout go elsewhere. I'm sure it's great when it's quieter though!

Been here on 2 separate occasions for lunch, and this is probably the definition of 3 stars. 'It's Ok' is exactly how i'd describe this. The atmosphere is good and the service is generally quick. At lunch they have $15/$20 deals of a main with a drink and that is good value. However both times the food was just average. Once i ordered a steak medium rare and it came out rare, another time I ordered it medium and it came out medium rare so probably order steaks 1 temperature up from what you want. Other than that their chicken parma has no ham :( and just tastes alright. Overall this is an average place to have lunch with decently quick service but with average food at least at a good price.

Was craving for chicken wings, and this restaurant popped in my UberEats. I ordered the Famous New York Buffalo Chicken Wings (24 pieces) & the Secret Seasoned Fries (medium size). I expected the wings to be a bit more spicer, but they turned out mild and messy. The fries were a bit soggy and oily. So if you are after NY Buffalo Wings, this is not the place. and they have funny timing as well, so if you want to visit/order online, you need to keep in mind that they are open only from Thu to Sun and close the rest of the week. Probably not the best place to order food from.

Staff were extremely rude and talked down to me after having an inconvenience with placing a booking on their website. Had a bottomless booking for my birthday a few months ago, however staff said I didn’t book bottomless when I clearly went under the section on the website and selected the time, number of guests and made a reservation with my credit card details. The staff asked to see the confirmation email, where they stated I made a regular booking (even tho I had to put in my card details?) and refused to take any blame for their faulty website. Didn’t get offered anything at all, not even an apology. Will not be returning to this bar again, as there are many far better places to have a fun night on your birthday.

Amazing venue, quality service from literally everyone I came into contact with!
