They keep posters on the window, saying the lobsters are 68 aud each, 600g. When we were ordering, the waiter said they were 98 each now, 800g; while other stores sell at 86-89. I said on the poster, the price was different. He said that was outdated and he forgot to remove it. 3 days later, the poster is still on the window. Are not they cheating or misleading? The taste was ok. We ordered another dish: water spinach. The taste was not good as they put in too many spices. Maybe it’s just not my style. We found lots of different WEEDS in the dish. I showed them to the waiter, he just said the vegetables were not washed well. And that’s all. He did not change a new dish, he either didn’t offer us a discount for the dish with weeds. I don’t think I would go there again.

Recommend this unassuming but great Chinese seafood restaurant located in the heart of the Russell Street entertainment area. Love the XO sauce lobster and abalone dishes (prepared all three ways). You should pick your preferred seafood friends from the live tanks where the staff will weigh your catch and prepare them according to your requests. Seafood always fresh and cooked to deliciousness!

Disappointing. Have been here a few times before but it’s been a few months since we’ve been back. Always ordered the Seafood and Rice Noodles with Egg Gravy ($25). Always had quality ingredients and “wok char” notes and great flavour. Today, it was bland, with cheap frozen prawns, tiny scallops and cheap frozen pre-blanched mussels (some with beard and dirt stuck to the beard) and that’s it. It used to have great “wok char” notes, today it tasted like someone just warmed up the noodles. It was not an egg gravy, it was sauce with pre scrambled eggs mixed in. The sauce had absolutely no flavour, so very bland. Also asked for extra noodles to be added. They did not. The Seafood Hot Pot ($28) had a heap of fried tofu pieces on the bottom plus again - cheap frozen prawns and mussels and the tiniest scallops on the top. Again, bland. There was a table of 8 next to us who had only just finished their food and were asked to leave as they needed the table. It turned out that there was only one person who had arrived, sitting by her lonesome before the rest of her party arrived some 20 mins later. Service was matter a fact - not unfriendly nor friendly. Had to ask for water and had to remind them about the tea ($2/person) we ordered. Portions were small and very poor quality for the price. We left hungry and did not want to order more food here seeing that the quantity and quality were so dismal. We went elsewhere after leaving this place.

Misleading menu and price. Been attracted by their promotion but that turns out to be limited hours only, 5-6pm and 9pm onwards. Received massive bill during regular dinning hours. Also, not sure which dish isn’t fresh but 2 out of 3 in our group got diarrhea after the dinner.

This place re-opened as Chinese restaurant specialising in fresh seafood! The venue is quite small and cramped, and the front is filled with tanks full of love seafood. You can choose which seafoods you want from the tank and how you want them cooked. Highly recommend their live snow crab and live lobster - we got the crab cooked in salt and pepper style and lobster with ginger and scallion with noodles. Both were super delicious! We also got a live fish steamed which was incredible. Their XO pipis with Chinese doughnuts are also a must too (very similar to Ling Nan). Service is super quick and no-fuss. Definitely come with a big group so you can try more dishes!

Well, it was a very disappointing dinner experience. We ordered a snow crab and took advice from the waiter to cook the snow crab with foie gras pate. However, the crab was overpowered by the pate's flavor, and we couldn't taste the natural sweetness of the crab. Additionally, it was far too oily. The other two dishes were average as well; we didn’t finish any of the three dishes.

I have just had my Christmas Eve dinner with my family there. Wonderful place! Fresh seafood and reasonable price. Highly recommend spring onions and ginger lobster with noodles. That’s the must try. Xo sauce Pipi is excellent too, you must order extra Chinese donuts, that is the soul of this dish. We also ordered the other 7 dishes and they are all fresh and tasty. One of the best cantonese seafood restaurants. Do not miss it.

They open at 5pm and we came before 5pm and they're very welcoming us. They allowed us to came in and sit first even before they ready. We ordered lobster with noodle, pipih with chinese donut and stir fry chinese broccoli and they were absolutely superb. All the food are very fresh and delicious. The restaurant is not that big though. Very recommended for fresh seafood.

Hands-down Seafood Street is my favourite place to eat Lobster with Noodles. Also, when I was there, every single dish I’ve seen the waiters/waitresses bring out for others smelt and looked deliciously yummy. I would definitely come back to try the other food they have to offer because I love eating. This is definitely a restaurant I would recommend for their fresh seafood, taste and speed. So if you love your Lobster with Noodles definitely check out one of my favourite restaurants for it, Seafood Street.

Service: Waiting time from ordering is rather fast. But the staff were inattentive when we asked for a follow up order, they forgot about it until we reminded. Food: We ordered sweet and sour pork ribs, prawn+spicy noodles, and seafood rice. Seafood rice is 4/5, pork ribs 3.5/5 (fried pork cuts are hard to chew but the flavour is okay), noodles 1/5. Verdict: first and last try.

Amazing Chinese food, we had the Congee silky and "creamy" with pork and mushrooms mince. The Pipis were outstanding, juicy and salty accompanied by Chinese doughnuts; crispy and crunchy.

Not as bad as I thought? There's a lot of wailing in the comments, but as an Asian... that's good enough for me! The sweet and sour chicken is the best, and the Xiao Long Bao are good too.

Their xiaolongbao is really nice. We ordered two and they are all gone very quickly. The order is of a good portion and the dumplings are freshly made. Their other foods are fantastic as well. The service was friendly and we enjoyed dining there. Except that the place is a bit small and narrow and it wasn’t entirely that comfortable sitting there.

Best Cantonese late night seafood comfort food around! We’ve tried quite a few dishes and all but one are nothing short of excellent. Don’t bother with the seafood tofu clay pot. Other than their signature dishes (which are all awesome), a must try is the tiger prawns vermicelli clay pot. So so good! Seafood is always fresh and cooked really well. Service is prompt and staff are ok! The premise is pretty clean. As good as you can expect from restaurants of this genre. We will always come back for more.

Have been hanging out for a decent chilli mud crab for a few years now and after snooping around Chinatown for a couple of hours we found this absolute gem ! Apart from the best price in town the chilli sauce / gravy was to die for ! Great value in this busy small restaurant - only other dish we had was a Singapore noodle dish which was on the small size and less value. Asked to leave as soon as we had the last mouthful but this was expected as many others were waiting to get in ...byo is also a bonus. We had a lovely guy serving us but boss lady not overly friendly (but usually the norm). Will be back for another great feed of fresh seafood which is the speciality of this place - heaps of live seafood in the tanks out front to choose from. Revisited a few weeks later and were not disappointed! Same meal - Singapore chilli crab and a separate dish of noodles - everything tasted better than our first visit ! Word of caution - make sure you view them weighing your fresh seafood - they also round up to nearest 100g then round up again when converting to pounds ....but in the case of mud crab current price was $29.95 per pound and is the best price to be found anywhere in CBD so still great value !

First time trying out this Restuarant and their special for the moment is $98 for one live lobster (700g) and all their dishes are very tasty and very decently price. “Canh” is one of the waiter, his service is extraordinarily and very down to earth block where he will tell you if you start ordering too much for two people and very attentive. Fully recommending this restaurant if you want to trying out live seafood with decent price. Regards John

a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The Singapore seafood noodle lacked flavor despite being described as full of turmeric taste and had an unusual yellow color. Additionally, there were not enough prawns in the dish. The seafood noodle hotpot was also unsatisfactory, described as tasteless, leading the diners to leave the food unfinished. Overall, the meal was considered a waste of money, reflecting a poor dining experience. It was our first and last trip to restaurant mever again
