Amazing venue, great for a catch-up, dinner and celebration. First time dinning at Left Bank was on Sunday the 15th, Sophie was our waiter and she was bloody amazing. Wonderful service, always smiling and made sure we were okay. I came back to dine again today hoping to see her because her service was amazing, unfortunately it was her day off. It’s those type of service that makes you feel like you’re at home, and you have a feel like you belong there. Speed of the service will vary based on how busy the venue is, so I recommend ordering some drinks while waiting for your meal. Overall, amazing experience and will be coming back again for the oyster, it’s a must try!

The food wasn’t as good as I imagined, the risotto was too hard I think it’s not cooked through.

Loved the food and drinks. Everything tasted fresh and presented beautifully The vibes of the venue were great in terms of location, music, lights and other guests. Was disappointed in the service as we were interacted with when we were seated and when food was delivered. It was a fully electronic ordering system. No water was brought to table, no check in about the meals. Dishes were collected from table while we were still eating and not asked if we were done. No pleasantries on exit either. I would have to think twice about revisiting as a huge part of restaurant/bar experience is the interaction with staff and the team and felt that was extremely lacking here

The outdoor seating at the restaurant had a good view. We got a seat quickly and the hostess and wait staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The waiter went to double check my order was Gluten Free everytime I asked when a dish came out. The wine selection is extensive and organized by types like light aromatic, whites with texture etc 😊 They have a very extensive bar menu which is great! The Arancini cakes were so tasty and best of all Gluten Free! The calamari too was yummm and well cooked and crumb fried with Gluten free crumbs. The Pork and Beef mains were well cooked and the sauces were flavourful. The salted caramel Torte being Gluten Free was a pleasant surprise. Overall a great place for views and good Gluten Free food!

Dropped in for an early dinner mid-week while on a work trip to Melbourne. Located on the Southbank restaurant strip, it’s a pleasant spot to sit outside and enjoy a drink and a meal. Steak was cooked to perfection and accompanying vegetables were satisfying. A little on the pricy side which is not surprising given the location, but worthwhile visiting if it’s a special occasion.

By far the BEST place on Southbank for dinner and drinks its as perfect as it gets for dining, atmosphere even the music is seriously good. Could not fault the whole experience we stayed late and chatted didn't want to leave. It's a spot that makes memories to treasure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely place. The music on a Friday night was fire! The food is delicious and the drinks are too but the cocktail pricing is a bit high for the amount you get. My cocktail was mainly ice. My only gripe about this place would be the table we had which was wonky and pretty average in placement but otherwise it’s pretty good here. It’s not cheap and is super busy so if you don’t like people, this is not the place for a quite dinner. Feels chaotic at times. Love the aesthetic. Will be back for sure!

Had a nice birthday dinner at Left Bank. It was pretty busy but our orders came out quickly. Really liked the steak, the ceviche and the mocktail. Staff were nice and approachable in general. I had 2 additional guests from what was originally booked, talked to the manager (I think it was) the afternoon prior to our dinner and he assisted in updating the booking though it was super busy already so really appreciated that. A bit disappointed though at the lack of communication as we were chased out by a staff who thought we were trying to run away with an outstanding bill when one of my friends was still inside paying for it at the bar counter. Embarassing to say the least and did sour the mood.

Update (8 June 22): I promised to these guys that I'll be back soon. And I was there today for a lunch with a colleague. John made us comfortable right under a heater as it was a very cold day. Thanks John! I ordered the same dish that I ordered two weeks back: a large plate of Snapper. Why the same dish while I could order a different Friday? Well, how do you find out about the consistency of a meal then? I was certainly impressed. Everything else that we ordered including the side dish of kalamari (OMG! That's a must try!), The chips (don't order if you are on diet. They are irresistible.), and the prawn spaghettini were absolutely delicious. So, the experience was once again excellent. Another word for John & Vince - I noticed that they were looking after all patrons equally and seemed genuinely interested in making it a good experience for all. Thank you again John and Vince! Ruby: thank you for being super responsive. No doubt why you guys are top notch. -------------------------------------- I usually do not have high hopes for good service and tasty food at restaurants which are too crowded. Left Bank surprised me on my visit yesterday. I went there with a group of my colleagues. When we reached the restaurant, we were greeted and welcomed. We had more people than the number a table was reserved, and the restaurant manager quickly arranged for additional chairs and tables to accommodate us. When staff are laughing with you, that's a sign of good hospitality and their own sense of service. A plus! Drinks service was super fast. You order through a QR code at your table, which is a convenient way to ensure you get the right order. Although personally I do not like to share my information. Food: Entrees were quickly served. Broccoli never disappoints me, but sadly the grilled/lightly roasted broccoli tasted bland. A hint of salt or some sauce can transform it. For mains, I ordered Snapper and my goodness, I never had such a delicious snapper before! The combination of potatoes, crab, spices and sauce was amazing. Kudos to the Chef! My colleagues enjoyed their meals too. Vibe: Left Bank has a welcoming, upbeat vibe. And I guess a lot of it is because of its serving staff. They all seemed busy yet happy. A smile makes all the difference, isn't it? Ambiance is great. I loved the decor and how the seating arrangement has been made which leaves enough room for people to roam around or sit comfortably. I will be back! ;)

A great place just next to Yarra River. Nice ambience. Staff is very helpful and cheerful. The service is quite fast. The outdoor seating with a view of city across the river is amazing. If you like vegetarian food, do try grilled Broccoli. Salt n pepper Calamari is a must. If you like beer, try Furphy crisp lager. If you like cocktails, Charlie Chaplin is a recommended one.

Had an awesome night here! Atmosphere fabulous and tunes in the background deliver an upbeat fun vibe. Fully comprehensive bar. Special mention to Sara our outstanding host that was generous, welcoming and bubbly. What a superstar! Will definitely be back.

We came here for a friend’s birthday for bottomless brunch and weren’t let in until 10 mins past the start time despite arriving on time, the food was hit and miss, pizza was tasty but burgers weren’t great and the panzanella felt quite basic. Cocktail jugs were however delicious (mostly quite sweet, the green eden was my fave!) and our server Kelly was absolutely lovely despite the qr code system not working properly.

Great venue & atmosphere, mainly due to the DJ (music) and of course great company. Value for money in my humble opinion was little to be desired. One meal included in the price with preselected cocktail jugs. The burger was okay, however luke warm & chips were mainly small little offcuts under a small stack of actual chips. Menu & what is included in price of brunch is confusing and ordering system with an email being required, is over the top! We are there to enjoy ourselves, not perfom admin duties. Service was good for the most part, though 15mins before the session had finished the wait staff took away our cocktail jug and called last drinks. This had already been paid for. We felt like we were being ushered out...

Went for a bottomless brunch, and have 0 regrets. Cocktails were great and the food was to die for. Definitely a good idea to share the meals, as some can be a bit small. The atmosphere was awesome and the music definitely gets you groovin!

We came here for bottomless brunch on Derby Day 11:30am-1:30pm and were not disappointed! The food was delicious, service excellent and the cocktails kept coming. The menu had about 16 different options including a couple of meat free options, and some gluten free options. Given it’s a 2 hour sitting I thought the variety of options was good for a fast turnaround meal. The price included beer, wine or soft drinks as well as the cocktails. I stuck to the Mumm (pineapple allergy meant I didn’t try the cocktails), but the rest of the girls loved them. I did try an espresso martini for research purposes, it wasn’t part of the package but was definitely worth it! We came here on the recommendation of a friend as part of a hens day out and would definitely come back again. Big thanks to Sarah and the team for looking after us.

Had the Bottomless brunch here last weekend. Probably one of the best ones we’ve tried (we’ve been to a few). Staff were soo friendly! Large variety of food options! Drinks service was a lot quicker than most bottomless brunch places. Highly recommend! Will definitely be returning.

Had a friends bottomless brunch here on Sunday and for $59 a head, we don’t feel this was worth it. You choose a meal and get jug refills of the alcoholic drinks however they were so watered down, it was like drinking soft drinks for 2 hours. We all had the gnocchi pasta which was okay, some pieces were cooked more tnem the others and the sauce wasn’t fresh and tasted reheated almost. We also had to keep calling waiters over to clear the jugs and give us a new one, we weren’t given water and the service was just bad. My friends and I were let down and won’t be coming here again.

I attended Left Bank's chocolate festival on the weekend. After lining up in the windy cold weather to get in at 12:00 we were greeted by attentive waiters with fancy cocktails to choose from. The venue itself made a strong first impression, being vast and classy, with mirrored ceilings adding a touch of sophistication. Our table setting was beautiful...with a threatening amount of wine glasses for our 3 course meal. Each course was delightful, with subtle hints of chocolate enhancing the flavors. The Chocolate Atrium was a true highlight, offering a wide variety of delectable chocolate delicacies, photo moments and competitions.However, it quickly became overcrowded... The wait service were satisfactory, but a smile can go a long way, especially in such a festive atmosphere. One bartender in particular was quite rude...numerous times! The music choice was a bit monotonous, although there were some enjoyable 80s songs mixed in with a heavy dose of electronic, doof doof music that probably didn't suit the older demographic attending. Overall, Left Bank's chocolate festival proved to be a flavourful and visually appealing experience. I love that this venue thinks up original and fun concepts.

We went here as a big group for an Xmas dinner. The food was great!! My taste buds (although drunk) enjoyed the taste of the dishes. The service was good too. The hostess and staff with their smile or cheeky grin added to experience. There were a lot of people who also seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Overall, great venue. Hopefully it doesn't change. Will go again.

Fantastic Bottomless Brunch, at a really good price value you get 1 main and unlimited cocktail jugs from a selection of 4 including Passionfruit Martini and Sex on the Beach but more food/drink can be bought through the QR codes. Went in a group and ordered the margherita wood fired pizza, and the food was great. Servers were kind and informative - they were quick with replacing empty jugs. Absolutely recommend a visit with friends, already planning the next trip here.

Updated Review - Jan 2024 I have been to Left Bank many times over the years and my experience has generally been very good. However, yesterday's dinner with my girlfriend was excellent. The food was delicious (especially the risotto) and service was excellent. Value for money was exceptional, as we took advantage of the "Go Get Shucked Thursdays" $2.00 Oysters.

We were here for a Bottomless brunch session in the morning. Good selection of food, drinks are delicious and have the right amount of alcohol. Overall good service considering the place was packed, staff are pretty attentive, and the wait wasn't too long for our party of 10. Would love to come back and try the lunch and dinner bottomless sessions! Def better to uber here than finding parking unless you're sober driver 😊

I had an incredible dining experience at Left Bank over the weekend. The Chilli Lamb Shoulder Pizza, Prawn Spaghetti, and Mushroom Risotto were all delicious and showcased the chef’s skill. Tried these Cocktails the Barrel Aged Negroni and Tropic Thunder, complemented the meal perfectly. The ambiance was fantastic, making it a super fun evening. Food was really the star of the evening. The chef’s creativity shines in every dish on the menu, showcasing a fantastic blend of flavors and textures.The attention to detail and innovative combinations truly set this menu apart, making it a must-try for foodies

Came for the bottomless brunch. Food was outstanding (especially the gnocchi) and a generous amount of drinks for an all inclusive. Our waitress, Kelly, provided exceptional service and was able to recommend certain items on the menu with regards to our dietary needs. Love this place and would definitely come back!

a nice place for a group catch up on a weekend with beautiful city views and bustling city nightlife. despite the qr ordering system, service from our waiter Rafael was very attentive and assuring, explaining the menu, ordering and asking for any help when needed. food and drinks did take quite a while to come but this is understandable given the busy saturday night it was and the extensive size of leftbank! food was pretty good - i'd recommended going for pizzas if in a group as this is easy to share and they were quite yummy, more Roman style. drinks were good to - on the pricier side though and a bit inconsistent in terms of strength and size but still enjoyable. overall, leftbank while isn't the most fancy or intimate spot, it's perfect for a group catch up, drinks and a bit of fun in the cbd!!!

My friend and I enjoyed the bottomless brunch today and our waitor, Rafael, was amazing! Kept us filled up and checked in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Fyi The chicken burger was to die for!

Arrived close to 8pm, staff didn't inform us that the kitchen stopped making certain dishes after a particular time. Had we known, would have ordered a main meal rather than the 3 small shared dishes that were the only available. Ordering is via a barcode, with no instructions on how to navigate their progam. The music is ridiculously loud that you are yelling over everyone else as well. Cocktails and our shared dishes were delicious. The staff were quick to bring our ordered items, and they certainly have a big job given how huge the venue is.

The food and drinks were satisfactory, but not for their price. Drinks and food were very expensive ($23 for a drinks and $20 for a small burger). The service was horrible. Couldnt talk to a person and had to order using a QR code and the menu items didnt have pictures. No idea what i was ordering but it was still overpriced. Couldnt even use their bar, they made me sit at a table :( Location is perfect, couldnt imagine a more ideal location.

Left bank is located at a beautiful spot, has great ambiance + music. Food is good and serves are usually very big. We all had a great time at the Left bank . Highly recommended !

The last supper before 4.0 lockdown. The place is fabulous overlooking Yarra River. The wines and beers kept coming from the tab with all of us enjoying the chilling atmosphere of Southbank. I enjoyed the twice cooked pork belly especially the crackling of the skin as my entree. The scotch fillet followed afterwards with garden salad and chips as sides. The creme caramel was the star of the menu with its lovely and consistent flavour.

Hero dining series was amazing!!! The food, the wine, the service was exceptional. Nur was so attentive and her service was impeccable. Thank you. I’ll be back!!

Had a great time visiting Leftbank for my friend’s birthday diner and drinks. The large food and drinks menu was great, there is something for everyone. The atmosphere was great, most people were there celebrating something. Staff were lovely and helpful.

I'm not a huge fan of ordering from my phone but they make it work pretty good. The waitstaff are what really made this 5 stars. The host also went out of his way to help us get a table to our liking!

It is a place for great cocktails and decent music with a bit of high class vibe. I loved my water melon, white chocolate cocktail. Food was fresh but I didn’t like the combination of salmon and the salad. Gnocchi was quite bland as well for the $$ price. I went there for a family celebration so got to try several other dishes too. So, I wouldn’t go there for meals but definitely for the drinks again

Pretty similar to Soho and all the other restaurants in the row, Left Bank offered great view of the Yarra river if you dined outside, and awesome cocktails. Food was pretty average - although that passionfruit crème brûlée was so good!

Absolutely stunning. The place, the food, the staff - everything was amazing. We had a booking for 7. Staff were all so attentive - checking in, asking if we were waiting for any extra drinks or dishes etc. when we hadn’t even been waiting that long. The ordering through your phone was also efficient - no fussing about trying to get a waiter’s attention, struggling to pronounce menu items, or having to go up physically to order and pay for your meal. The tax invoice gets sent directly to your email which is handy. It was a Saturday 9pm so they had a photographer and a DJ on the night too, but music wasn’t too loud you couldn’t hear people on your table talking. Photographer would politely ask to take photos. The place itself was well laid out, tables not too close together, nice intimate lighting - not too dark or bright. Overall a really nice atmosphere. Everything arrived within a reasonable timeframe - drinks and food. They had a great selection on the menu (pictured: Salmon Roe Whip and the Lychee Caiprissima). Drink was a good way to ease into the night - your typical cocktail sweet and fruity. The salmon roe whip was a big serving and good enough to share, it was a fancy version of bread and dip but it tasted so good - not an overly fishy taste in the whip, which some similar salmon dips have. I also had a bite of their lamb pizza as a friend ordered it, and it was refreshing to try one that wasn’t so salty! It had decent sizes of lamb on each slice. Definitely recommend coming for dinner. I plan to come back in the next few weeks!

Had our work Christmas party for 2021 at Left Bank last night and the all the staff from events management right through to the the wait staff went over and above to look after all 25 of us. Upon arrival we’re greeted immediately and drinks were already waiting. To please 25 people would be hard, compliments to the chef who nailed every course ! Would definitely recommend getting the platinum package, you will not be disappointed. Special mention to Ethan and KJ our wait staff who were amazing. Left Bank I think are the best at what they do to provide an atmosphere that keeps you wanting more. Will definitely be coming back for our next function. Great Job !!

Had a great night here with some friends - very good atmosphere and food was impressive! Though a little pricey. I’d like to give a special mention to Ruby for helping me with an issue related to their ordering system. She was incredibly helpful and went well above and beyond for us. I’d highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Salami pizza and steak was cooked to perfection. The staff were sublime. Specifically, a girl named K.J was the nicest and took her time to explain every dish to accommodate our dietary restriction. Honestly, she made our night.

had a bottomless brunch for only $49 which consists of cocktails (we ordered jugs), beers & wines from the allocated menu alongside 1x meal per person (wagyu beef burger with fries) which i felt was substantial... it was such a beautiful sunny winter's day as we sat alongside the Yarra under the alfresco... atmosphere was vibing along Southbank and where we were sitting had 4-5 other parties... such an awesome deal for group parties and would definitely come back for other occasions... the only downer was that my first impression wasn't the best as i was never approached at the first instance by a waiter/waitress on if i've been here before and if i knew what the ordering process was...

The most amazing customer service! Yes, the food was excellent. Yes, the drinks were amazing. But the staff were absolutely outstanding. Our waiter, James, made our night! We had a work function for 25 people and James handled us brilliantly. The drinks were delivered promptly, our three-course dinner was served all at the same time, and James kept us entertained all night. Will come back again for sure.

It's a great choice for work lunches- the atmosphere was nice. I recommend the Cauliflower Popcorn dish. VERY good! The Grain salad and the green Goddess salad were good but needed a little more seasoning/dressing in my opinion.

Plenty to drink, staff are super friendly and approachable and want to ensure you are having a good time. There was a hiccup with our table seating, but that was quickly fixed by our lovely waitress and the manager Sonny made sure we were well looked after the whole time from there on. Had a surprise birthday dinner this past Friday night for seven people. Shout out to the host James! I came a day earlier to drop off the cake and he took it with no problems, looked after us all night on Friday and made the night run as smoothly as possible. So thank you so much for that! The food and drinks were great & had an amazing table right at the front, close to the street with great views. The vibe of the restaurant was awesome too. Couldn’t of asked for a better pick for a surprise birthday dinner. Birthday boy was happy! Thanks again & staff !

We came here for lunch on a Saturday and had a great time! First of all the staff were so accomodating and friendly and found us a great table outside like we wanted. They look like they are having fun which sets the vibe for the whole place. We had some sliders chips and bread with tasty cocktails and the music was just the right volume. It looked like a massive venue so would be good for large groups too. They also had a bottomless brunch which sounded fun for the next visit!

Myself and 3 girlfriends arrived for a long awaited get together and time away from the kids and families 🤣. Kristina happily greeted us at the front foyer and made us feel instantly welcome. She explained the protocol of the bottomless brunch and got someone to take us to our seats. We ordered immediately and the food and beverages came out not long after. The food was amazing and we all left with full tummies. Kristina continued to check in on us throughout the day and her warmth and humour was certainly a highlight! Thank you for having us and allowing us to have a responsibility free day.

Came here for the $49 Bottomless Brunch which includes 1 meal + bottomless wines, beers and cocktails. Staff were efficient and super friendly and food was tasty. We got the beef burger which was juicy and lamb ribs which were tender and flavourful. At $49 pp it is a steal but we were left with a bit of a headache probably due to the quality of the alcohol. Can't complain though! The staff were so accommodating and attentive despite how busy the venue got.

Good food. But we barely got any service. You have to order from your phone. We wanted to ask questions but no one was around. But food and drinks were excellent.

Prawn Spaghettini was tasty but not much to write home about. However the dessert was delicious and so were the drinks. Service could improve for group meals as we used the website to open a tab but there was soo much confusion on the orders and other people’s food came really late.

Celebrated mom’s birthday here, the staff were so friendly and so helpful despite it having been such a busy night. Even though they were busy the manager Alick still helped me hold on to the cake I got for mom and brought it out after mains. 10/10 would recommend!

Late-night food options are limited but it is late night and like most restaurants in Melbourne they close pretty early, especially on weekdays. Regardless, the restaurant has a good ambiance, and excellent service, and the cocktails are not watered down so I enjoyed our late-night meal. I recommend The wagyu sliders they were great and for drinks, we enjoyed their grapefruit prosecco spritz

Lovely service, nice seating area. I got the special $25 lunch deal which included a main and a drink! The pumpkin pizza was delicious and very filling for 1 person.
