Very authentic and delicious Italian food. One of the best I have had! House wines are a must try! Don’t go without a booking or else you will end up waiting for hours as it is always full!

Very cute cosy Italian restaurant! The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful, especially the bruschetta and garlic & herb bread starters! The linguine marinara and tortellini e funghi were amazing! Highly recommend for a cute and/or romantic dinner.

This is my favourite restaurant and my first recommendation to any visitor without a doubt. Every meal is like a meal at granny’s home, so delicious and relaxing, and I have already started to look forward to the next meal before leaving. Thank you for all the good memories and cannot wait to the next time.

A cosy Italian restaurant that serves great Italian dishes. Service was friendly and fast. Highlight for us were the ciabatta, bruschetta and linguini marinara. Will definitely come back to try the chicken livers marinated in wine next time.

Spent between 30-40 AUD for the pasta. Big serving and authentic taste. Warm ambiance. Kind service. Best to ask for food recommendations. Would recommend this to anyone near the area.

Quite pricey but the food was blimmin amazing

An absolutely delicious experience, with fantastic wine and service as well. We had the linguine with king prawns (and pistachios?! Wow!), the scallopini with mushrooms (so creamy I asked for some ciabatta to mop up with), and the tiramisu (a leaning tower with fantastic balance). Would thoroughly recommend - but watch out for the portions! One entree, main, and dessert shared between two was great for us!

Hearty Italian food, loved the service as well! Ordered the ciabatta, the chicken liver as entrees, both of them were excellent! For the mains, we got the gnocchi Alla mattriciana and the pollo alla Calabrese, both of which were good! The dessert was the berry crepe, which was very well done! The wine collection is good as well, we got the sangiovese and the montepulciano, both were good! I'd strongly recommend the inside seating on a cold evening, felt toasty! P.s : the portion sizes are very good!

Man! ….what a find! Dripping with the authenticity of a neighbourhood Italian family restaurant straight out of the Godfather circa 1972. Authentic is a good word to also use generally to describe the fare as well as the hospitality. Dark wood tables and chairs and white tablecloths….works! Why change? …when the colours are all in the cuisine? Bravo Amiconi’s!

I loved this place and can’t wait to go back. My partner and I walked past and noticed it was packed out. We booked dinner the next night and found out why it’s so popular. We ordered two pasta dishes to share which were thoughtfully presented. The bread to mop up the sauce and olives to start were a nice touch and made the experience even better. Will be working our way through the menu over the coming weeks! Honest, delicious, authentic Italian food.

We had an amazing experience at Amiconi. The food was great and the portion is quite generous. The risotto was beautiful.

Old fashioned Italian, done extremely well. Friendly and efficient service. Calamari fritti, garlic mushrooms, bruschetta, linguine Pescatore were all great. Generous serving sizes. Good value. BYO wine option.

There are many nice things to say about this truly authentic Italian dining experience. Firstly the restaurant is cosy and very romantic. The waiters are excellent, knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is extensive and unlike many Italian restaurants is not completely dominated by pasta options. From the absolutely delicious olives that are waiting on your table when you first arrive through the garlic bread with full flavour and crispy edges to the beautiful pastas and very impressive selection of Wines this is a restaurant that lives up to it's reputation. The trio of pastas is an excellent option for couples and the selection of desserts available are hard to resist especially the passionfruit souffle. I highly recommend that you visit amiconi restaurant. I will definitely be back.

We haven’t eaten here in 20 years, we would frequent regularly in our youth. We returned with our adult children and just like 20 years ago, we were not disappointed. Still the same family run business who place importance on good quality food and good customer service. We will be returning a lot sooner.

I can’t recommend this place enough! The service is amazing! We felt like we were at home! The food is amazing and homemade! I had the tagliatelle with bolognese and it was amazing yet filling! This place should go beyond the 5 star ranking! We will be going back there again! And it’s family friendly!

Highly recommend. This cute place is a thriving place, so book ahead! Their waiting service was spot on. We never felt watched or pressured, which we loved because we felt so welcomed. Great service. Recommend Profiteroles for dessert... chocolate and caramel on those puffs are so good. Too bad I was too excited and forgot about photos. We also had calamari, risotto and garlic mushroom . Calamari was too salty for my liking. Risotto in pesto was superb. I have mix feeling with garlic mushroom but it taste pretty good. Was thinking it would be dry/sauce less. Definitely going back again

Great tasting real Italian food. Great service. The only thing that stopped this from being a 5 star rating was that patrons are seated too close to each other. Other than that it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in North Melborune.

This little Italian restaurant is a real gem advertised as an authentic family run restaurant it certainly is. Fabulous Italian food, grand atmosphere and amazing customer service. Gnocchi melts in your mouth. I have eaten here a lot bringing family and friends and not one of us has EVER had a bad meal. Very accommodating for the children as well. ALWAYS AMAZING.

First time guests after Amiconi was highly recommended. Amiconi did not disappoint in any way. The service was friendly and very prompt. The atmosphere of the place was inviting and warm. Don't start me on the food ........bloody amazing. If you haven't been do yourself a favour, drive that extra mile and be prepared to be engulfed in a culinary delight.

We discovered this little gem of a traditional Italian restaurant recently and have enjoyed our dining experience each time we’ve visited. The semi freddo ice cream is the winning card for me. I highly recommend Amiconi for that authentic and flavoursome food experience as well as their warm hospitality.

We have been dining with Michael and the family here for many years and never had anything but delicious authentic Italian food. Many of our dinner guests are now regulars themselves!

Honestly, best authentic Italian I ever had, went out with my missus and the waitress was really nice to me and her and recommended me the best of the best dishes ever. will absolutely come back here once again since the workers pretty much treats us like family. love the experience.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. As soon as we walked in the service was amazing. The restaurant was small and cozy. Food was all good. I can’t forgot about this Philippino guy, he was so happy and nice give the guy a clap.

I tried the seafood marinara and the tortellini, both pasta dishes very beautifully cooked and full of flavour. This restaurant has an authentic feel. Next time I visit Melbourne I'll be dining here again.

Service was appalling, they seated us near the kitchen, near the waiters table where the plates and utensils are. Kindly asked them to have the seat repositioned to the opposite so that there is less noise whilst eating. Male young waiter was not sympathetic at all and only cared for his job rather then responding to my concern re loud plate/utensil noises. No apologies from this staff, I left the restaurant immediately.

We dined here for my husbands birthday on the 15th Feb. 2020. We were a group of 6 and I decided to do the $79 banquet. While the food was nice it was very expensive for what came out and everything was cramped into the 2hr session that we had which spoiled the whole experience. It was just as well that we did not bring a birthday cake as there would not have been any time to cut it. The staff were not overly attentive and it did very much appear that this restaurant is all about the numbers and not the customers experience. After a couple of bottles of wine the bill came in at $560 which I do not think was worth it for simply just 2hrs. We were just getting up and already the waiter was rearranging the table for the next lot of diners. I do not recommend.

I booked this venue for a wake post my grandmothers funeral for 30 people and the owners were very accommodating despite the short notice. The food was delicious and although we were gathered for unfortunate circumstances, everyone enjoyed the lunch. The decoration is very beautifull and i really like it.

Michael and the Amiconi family welcomed me with open arms last night, with a vintage Italian-Australian restaurant setting and old school Italian family vibes, I enjoyed a meal of Gnocchi and dessert washed down with some red wine. Thank you to the family at Amiconi for having me!

Just came back from a brilliant experience here with my partner. Why was it so good you ask? Well, not only is the food possibly the best traditional Italian (Sicilian) in Melbourne, but the ambiance is highly romantic, the service is not just impeccable but also very warm and engaging. When I first saw this place was rated 4.7, I was a little sceptical... but now I know why they deserve it!

Our dining experience was great. Pasta on point, dessert as well. Waiters very professional at the same time. Bravo

Great family style restaurant just outside Melbourne CBD. One of my favourite Italiab restaurants in Melbourne. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Inside the tables are close together but not crowded in the nicely decorated interior. Food is always top notch. I like all their pasta dishes. Their desserts are also amazing !

Family run little place, super delicious!

Great authentic Italian restaurant that provides fantastic hearty minestrone soup, super fresh carbonara pasta, and amazing calamari dish. The place has a long history and has been run over decades and I can tell the owners' pride everywhere inside the restaurant.

Its is family run and friendly. It gets busy so I would book rather than just turn up. Prices are responsible. Travelled over from the UK & met my Australian buddy Robbie. This is one of his favourite restaurants and I can also recommend it.

I had dinner there on Saturday with a dear friend. He suggested it as thought this would suit my palate. It's a great restaurant, with a lovely convivial atmosphere and nice service. The food was excellent, we shared a small pork sausage risotto to begin and I had the veal with eggplant for my main and the man had the veal with lemon. Excellent choices and the food is like your Nonna is cooking. The wine list contains wine by the glass as well as the bottle and a good beer selection. I will be back in the not too distant future.
