Very first time here in this irish pub, love the dark mystery vibe. Had the Pork Sausages with pea and mustard mash, so good , so tender and flavourful. Lamb shank are really great, it’s come with ham mash potatoes. Totally different flavour. In the end we had the Guinness cake with ice cream, the beer taste aren’t too strong, but it’s definitely a delicious cake.

Been here three times now and the steak sandwich is hands down the best pub food I've ever had. Steak sandwich with black pudding, it just works god damn. You need to try this.

I hadn't been here for years but oh my I do love an Irish pub! Had been nearby for event (96 floor stairclimb at Australia 108) so came here afterwards. Had Prosecco and vegetable pastie with curry sauce while husband had chicken curry and flat white. We also shared their Irish bread which was nice, different. The decor and atmosphere is so me that I felt like I lived there, yes like I said I love an Irish pub!

We booked a table for dinner, and were greeted by a very friendly and super attentive staff. We were seated in the dining area, and I was surprised by how quiet it was. We ordered Fish n Chips (Beer battered fish fillet, chips, salad, tartare sauce), and the Beef & Guinness Pie (Guinness sauce, creamy mash potato, seasonal vegetables), plus Chips on the side. Food was great, and went very well with Guinness & Magners Apple Cider. I'd like to come back again, but have a seat at the bar area, as I want to experience the beauty of Irish pubs I am used to. This was too quiet for me.

Love the Guinness Pie. Chunks of tender beef in great flavour. First time having Parma. It's a bit hard and dry for me. The mussels are okay. I prefer a thicker, more tasty chilli. Fish and chips are on point. I love the decor and the Service. Will be back for the pie again.

I have not been to this Irish Pub for years. A great place to pop in for a beer and a quick bite if lunch. The service was very friendly and there was a mix of traditional pub fair and Irish classics. It was surprisingly quiet yet can imagine there would be an amazing atmosphere when it’s busy. The food was good but the beer was better.

Generous portion of food. All very tasted ,only down side was they brought starter and mains all together which made it hard to eat without it going cold

Great atmosphere. Good food. I had Irish sausages and mash and onion gravy. The other had fish n chips. Like a pub from the old country. Ate in dining room attached to pub next door (waiter service in here).

Like everywhere under staffed. They were doing their best. We were a big group of 20 so food took ages, over an hour. Food was hit and miss. I ordered the seafood chowder. The description said fresh seafood in a creamy soup. Well. If you call one "unpeeled" prawn, two mussels, two strips of calamari(calamari ring cut in half) and some token little bits of fish fresh seafood. That is what I got. The chowder itself was a mouthful of celery and carrot. And I am not sure why it was called creamy. My partner's mussels were much tastier. And the Sunday roast looked lovely and plentiful

I was travelling away from home and fancied some comfort food. I was delighted by my choice of venue and was warmly greeted on arrival and shown to a table. A local artist was playing in the main bar area which was pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed the beef and Guinness pie with one of their on tap beers. The meal was well presented, nice and hot and very tasty. Thoroughly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this amazing Irish pub and it was nothing short of a beer lover's dream come true. The selection of beers is truly impressive. They offer a wide variety of styles, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, ensuring there's something to cater to every palate. A friendly staff was plus.

Meal tasted fine, but there could be more summer meals on the menu. Having said that, the service was great and the overall atmosphere is really good. Great location to access from anywhere.

stumbled across this place on melbourne cup day. had the kangaroo, salmon and irish stew. delicious food. the kangaroo was cooked to medium rare perfectly and was so tender and juicy! came back again because i could not stop thinking about the kangaroo. we ordered that, the guiness beef pie, calamari, and pork belly. everything was great except the kangaroo :( this time it was a little dry. the pork belly was so melty and delicious but the portion seemed a little small. overall delicious food here, good drinks and lively atmosphere. p.s. the brownie with vegan ice cream is terrible!!!

Authentic Irish bar with great live music. Had wide range of beer to enjoy. Haven't tried out the dishes, but they all looked great. Would come here again...

Don't order the mussel pot. Lacked flavour, 4 of my mussels weren't open, Soda bread was burnt. Took ages to arrive when the pub wasn't that busy. Guiness pie and veg lacked flavour. Steak sandwich, chips and nugget bites were good.

We had a great time eating there tonight. Waitstaff was very accommodating. Food was very enjoyable. We sang along with the band playing Sweet Caroline and Take Me Home, Country Roads. We had to rush off before having dessert. Next time!

The atmosphere is pretty good but the food is just OK. I ordered 2 menus. Pan fried Salmon is good. It made quite perfect but the steak is quite bad. It was medium-well while I ordered a medium-rare steak. Moreover, it took pretty long time for waiting my order.

You couldnt of asked for more friendlier service. If i visit from canberra again I definitely will be coming back. Thank you so much guys, and you need to pay kira more, she is an amazing waitress who made us feel extremely welcome

Food is good, music is good, however the staff turned over the AFL to the kiwi women's soccer game, half way through the game at the request of a couple of kiwis. Maybe look after the people that regularly come into your bar as opposed to people that come in once every 10 years

Walked in with my partner, we were looking to have a drink or two, but unfortunately was ignored by staff, walked from one end of the bar to where they (staf) were standing only to have both of them walk to the other side of bar, guess this is the Irish hospitality I have heard so much of! Or could it have been that we were a mix Race couple, honestly I would hope in this day and age that was not the case but who knows honestly I would recommend if you are looking for a place to have a drink and maybe receive some decent customer service and you are are let's say of darker complexion then you might want to give this place a miss and by miss I mean don't waste your time!

Clean pub with welcoming staff. Food was okay. The batter wasn't quite cooked on my wife's fish while my Ceasar salad was delicious. Guinness was good. Reasonably expensive but pub is in a prime spot.

Absolutely loved this place. The Irish Parmi is something you must try. Service is quick and attentive. The scenery is one of the best old Irish pub replications I’ve seen plus it has a fancier restaurant side if you prefer. I could sit in here all day and night.

I don't usually write a bad review but here's the thing i have to write down. Foods are not too bad, but it was really slow. we order couple of drinks, starter and maindish, order first time was 6:50pm, starter is coming 7:10pm, maindish come 7:40pm. until we got maindish it took 50mins. i was talking to server who's wearing glasses that food is a bit too much slow, and he said printer has issue and hope we enjoyed the food THAT'S ALL WHAT HE SAID ! then why didn't tell us in advance and just let us wait !? Totally waste my time. so we stop drink here cuz Spend 130 was even not worth it

PJs is a great traditional Irish pub easily accessible from Southbank or the city of Melbourne. Their food is well portioned and tasty and the pub food is available late into the night to accompany your Guinness with some wedges. They have a wide range of drinks, but you’re not there for that. It’s a great place to meet friendly new people in a relaxed atmosphere and acting like the Irish do singing along to the traditional songs from their live music!

Good atmosphere, although it is very dependent on what day you decide to visit. The music was not so great. However, the drinks were great. The stout is probably the best choice here although the beer is not bad either. The selection of drinks is one of the best in Southbank. Recommended if you're looking for a good night of acoustic music and great drinks.

After reading the reviews below, I am convinced it must have been our lucky day yesterday. The young gentleman at the bar who served me and my friend who is a senior citizen was caring. The beer and lemonade were good too. Lots of room on a Saturday evening 19/02/2022

Food was lovely, the people were very nice and it all came quite fast! Meals are pretty big so share an entrée and have one dish each that would be enough for 2 people. There are some days where there is live music 🎶 it's lovely 😍 will definitely come back

Knowing it would be busy on a Saturday night and having theatre tickets for 8pm I made a reservation for 6.30pm. Arrived and seated at our table at 6.23pm and placed our order at 6.30pm. Drinks arrived within minutes. Sadly our meals had not arrived by 7pm so I asked the waitress kindly as to how much longer would we be waiting. She promptly returned from the kitchen to say our meals would be up next. At 7.20pm I told my husband to pay for the drinks and tell them to cancel the meals so we could at least grab something quick at the theatre before going in. In fairness had they told me when they first seated us that there was a 45 minute wait, as I overheard them informing walk-ins I would have walked away there and then. A 55 minute wait without any explanation or apology is not acceptable and I will not be back.

Great food, large servings and wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service. Food took a little bit to come out, but nothing too bad, and normal pub prices. Definitely recommend coming here as we had a wonderful time.

Great food and atmosphere. The Beef Guinness pie was particularly good, generous chunks of beef inside. We also had the fish and chips , Salmon and creme brulee which were great too!
