There
are
lots
of
opportunities
for
this
restaurant
for
improvement.
As
a
backstory,
a
colleague
of
mine
had
booked
this
restaurant
a
week
ago
for
20
people
at
5pm.
The
restaurant
stated
for
that
many
we
would
need
to
eat
of
the
set
menu
and
pre
order.
Which
is
completely
fine,
however
the
colleague
failed
to
communicate
this
and
consequently
the
booking
was
cancelled
because
they
hadn’t
had
a
response.
Also
completely
reasonable.
Late
this
afternoon
not
knowing
that
the
booking
had
been
cancelled
we
called
the
restaurant
to
change
the
number
to
7
people
as
we
had
many
pull
out
last
minute.
This
is
when
we
discovered
the
was
no
longer
a
booking
but
the
restaurant
advised
we
could
still
have
a
table.
From
the
moment
we
arrived
I
realized
that
we
had
made
a
mistake.
The
staff
member
who
greeted
us
continued
to
tell
us
on
several
occasions
that
they
were
not
prepared
for
us
to
come,
and
continued
on
and
on
about
the
booking
issue.
We
were
then
required
to
still
have
the
set
menu
but
they
only
had
two
servings
of
one
of
the
mains
because
again
they
didn’t
know
we
were
coming.
This
is
a
restaurant
that
was
open
for
business
and
trading
on
Hardware
lane.
A
very
popular
restaurant
hub
where
literally
7
random
people
could
have
walked
in
off
the
street
in
any
combination
and
asked
for
a
table,
if
they
didn’t
have
enough
food
to
feed
us
how
were
they
expecting
to
feed
any
walk-ins?
For
clarity
we
were
the
only
ones
inside
the
restaurant
when
we
arrived
and
in
the
3
hours
were
were
there
they
only
had
6
other
patrons
who
had
a
meal.
Which
begs
the
question
of
how
they
are
still
trading?
and
also
should
be
a
warning
sign
when
the
other
restaurants
in
the
street
were
bustling.
Secondary
to
the
above
issue
was
the
timings
of
service.
In
one
of
the
disgruntled
mutterings
from
the
staff
member
about
the
whole
booking
saga
he
did
advise
they
were
short
staffed.
Which
in
the
current
climate
is
not
uncommon
and
you
make
some
exceptions
for.
However
the
entire
“2
course”
dinner
took
3.5
hours.
We
arrived
at
roughly
5:30.
It
was
6
before
someone
came
with
a
drinks
menu
and
another
10
minutes
to
take
a
drink
order.
The
aforementioned
gentleman
then
came
and
informed
us
what
we
would
be
having
for
dinner,
in
which
we
assumed
the
starters
would
arrive
in
the
not
too
distant
future.
After
some
time
he
came
back
and
asked
the
group
out
of
the
three
options
for
mains
which
would
people
like.
Then
after
some
more
time
the
starters
came
out,
I
didn’t
keep
track
but
it
was
definitely
after
7
by
this
point.
It’s
good
to
remember
here
that
this
was
a
very
empty
restaurant
and
that
whilst
the
kitchen
only
appeared
to
have
one
staff
member
the
starters
were
chips,
warm
olives
and
toasted
bread,
and
margarita
pizza.
Nothing
overly
time
consuming
as
neither
the
bread
or
dough
indicate
it
was
house
made.
Fortunately
the
conversation
of
the
group
was
good
because
it
made
the
time
pass.
It
was
around
8pm
when
the
mains
arrived,
and
when
we
went
to
pay
the
bill
at
8:50
the
mostly
untouched
plates
were
still
on
the
table.
This
review
is
already
very
long
and
I
haven’t
even
talked
about
the
actual
food.
But
simply
put
it’s
did
not
add
anything
positive
to
the
experience.
I
know
these
Covid
times
haven’t
been
easy
and
honestly
I
don’t
want
any
restaurants
to
crumble
and
for
people
to
loose
their
jobs
but
a
restaurant
in
this
location
that
struggles
to
serve
its
very
few
customers
and
is
so
focused
on
lecturing
their
customers
on
what
they
didn’t
do
over
creating
a
positive
experience,
is
going
to
struggle
to
stay
open.
When
we
left
two
potential
patrons
were
looking
at
the
menu
board
and
we
suggested
they
go
somewhere
else.
