Jimmy Grants Emporium

Restaurant β€’ Greek restaurant

😠 Will never go back . Disgusting had to pull up a staff member for not using gloves or utensil to put food in plates he used his hands . I paid $70+ for what I would describe as roast of the day with oregano sprinkled on top and a salad with no dressing. Worst place to eat

DECENT GREEK FOOD IN THE EMPORIUM FOOD COURT Jimmy Grants has several outlets across Melbourne. This one serves good quality food.. slightly on the expensive side... but that is no different to other Emporium eateries. Can get quite busy at peak times (especially lunchtime on weekends). Plenty of seating as it is at the far end of the food court. Lamb is good here (which you would expect from a Greek-themed restaurant!) People with mobility issues will be fine here as it is all on one level floor and there are lifts and escalators up from the ground floor and a connecting walkway from Melbourne Central.

Tried the souvlaki here. Got chips inside the bread with combination of roasted chicken and lamb. The meat may be a bit dry for me. Tried some fried haloumi cheese with honey as a side dish. A bit too salty for me.

Jimmy Grants has gone downhill since it was started. Either that or this store is subpar.

I have ordered a homer a number of times and have absolutely enjoyed it. Usually fresh and delicious. Today's purchase was most disappointing: the slaw was far from fresh (could see it by just looking at the cabbage) as well as pretty dry and uninspiring. And the falafel was disappointing too. Am aware of New Year weekend break but I expect more of any establishment George Colambaris is associated with. I will not be rushing back because of this experience.

Jimmy Grants are everywhere, and they deserve to be. Souvas used to be reserved for drunken night outs (i dispute this, a good souva shld b eaten sober) but these guys give it a bit of class. The bread is phenomenal which makes everything else sing. There's quite a few famous chefs trying to get in on fast food. George is the clear leader.

Just delicious. Am a fan of the nonna Maria. chicken strips and fries wrapped in a soft bread. The food is just different from what you can find anywhere else. The staff are super friendly. There's hardly any waiting once you order, 5 minutes latest. I highly recommend.

Tasty souvlakis. A bit small, and pricy but delicious.

While not massive, they are dam tasty. Couldn't believe how long it took to make given there were only three customers, but that aside I would come back.

Great tasty recipes. That's pretty much what eating out is all about. That aside, my personal experience of the service was awesome, very happy. Seems some peeps below had a different experience but I want to point out that's down to staff members or a bad night (for them) or human error - it has nothing to do with the recipes, the brand or the owner - so that's why I give five stars because I'm sure if all staff do their job (that their paid for) correctly, who would fault this place? Soooo tasty!
