Excellent quality food, top notch service! Worth every cent. We booked a table for 12 for a birthday dinner and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Every dish was delicious. Even the Tofu was fantastic and I don't like Tofu. Other highlights were the calamari and the Mongolian beef. Would definitely come back and recommend.

We had the $59 pp yum cha set menu. The dumplings were tasty but other dishes were very average. The small bowl of fried rice was very bland. Didn’t look appealing either. I can cook better. The spring rolls were hard to bite. Felt like they were either over fried or were from the freezer instead of being made on order. The portion of the crispy noodles with seafood was so small that I couldn’t believe it was supposed to be a main dish. Both of us still felt hungry after. The restaurant itself is beautiful and service was good with wet warm towels served before and after lunch. But the food was disappointing considering the price.

It’s expensive but it’s worth every penny of it. The menu is not a big menu and when you look at it, it really doesn’t show anything too special BUT what I really like is that every dish that was presented on our table was cooked so deliciously. Service of course was great, I means it’s Silks, you’d expect it and they delivered it so no surprise there. Give it a try 😊

We had lunch today with my family in the private dining room and we are very pleased with the excellent service and superb food today. As expected of fine dining places, portions may not necessarily be big but the food is fresh, and the views from the private dining room is fantastic overlooking the yarra river. We are also very pleased with William's service today who has helped us top up our water, tea, wine continuously. Thank you to the team and will be back again!

Our recent dining experience at SILKS CROWN was extraordinary. From the moment we stepped through the elegant doors of this fine dining establishment, our experience was magical. Silks exudes an air of sophistication, with its tastefully adorned setting and calming surrounds. The star of the evening was the delicious food. Each dish was skillfully presented. We opted for the open choice menu, and each dish was full of flavours and textures that left our taste buds beaming. The service was exceptional, with our two attentive and knowledgeable staff, Baron and Jenny, ensuring that our every need was met. The pacing of the meal was impeccable, allowing us to savour each course and engage in meaningful conversation without feeling rushed or taking too long. Amazing food with authentic Chinese flavors. Staffs are very nice and offered me a birthday cake. The deco is very grand, a different vibe from most fancy restaurants in Melbourne, but in a good way. Will come back again.

ORDERED: Set menu $168 per person ♥ Entrees: Chicken ‘Sung Choi Bao’, Silks signature baked crab shell & Southern Rock lobster ginger & egg noodles ➖ Mains: Mayaura station wagyu beef, Honey Chair Siu black cod, mixed green vegetables with garlic & black truffle fried rice ➖ Dessert: Sesame crème brulee REVIEW: ❣ The entrees were our favourite. 🌰 The water chestnut, bamboo shoots and mushrooms left and incredibly fresh snappy texture that was the prefect opener to the set menu. 🦀 It was my second time having Silks’ iconic Baked Crab Shell with parmesan cheese and it was still a savoury delight. Not as good as the first time I had it though. There’s something so delicious about baked cheese and so much fun from eating out of a shell. It can’t be compared to anything else! My friend was shocked, the baked crab close to the best thing he’s ever tasted. Something he’ll be dreaming of tonight! ❌ Least favourite for us were the southern rock lobster and the black and the seasonal mixed greens with garlic. They were thick pieces of lobster, the whole plate weighed down by the gravy sauce. I was missing a bit of smokiness from the noodles, or anything else to add a savouriness or interest to the dish. It felt a little bit basic, even though the ingredients would’ve been undoubtedly top tier. Similar reasoning, the mixed greens also seemed a bit boring with simplicity its greatest weakness. Overall, silks is a nice venue but its patrons range from a loud diner complaining to our right, and a screaming baby 2 tables down to our left. It certainly shattered the illusion of an elite establishment. If there were nicer diners then it would’ve been great. Service was friendly and were diligent in keeping our fancy lemon iced tap water topped up.

3rd visit, and still excellent!! We have added this restaurant into our rotation. Everyone we bring is impressed by the food. Very tasty and sophisticated, yet simple. Wine list is very comprehensive too. Fair prices for a premium location. Service is spot on, attentive and most staff are very kid friendly. One staff member even gave up his own note book because my daughter had an urge to suddenly draw 😅🙏 Being a premium restaurant at crown, the atmosphere is very good. We got a table next to the fire display which was a big plus. We will be back again

We went there for a dinner while staying at crown towers and loved this. The views from this restaurant is amazing. We went with $128 set menu and we loved all the items. We also ordered some Peking duck, cocktails and mocktails and all of them were really good. Food tasted really good and some of the dishes were melting inside the mouth. Couldn't be happier.

The worse dim sum I had so far. When the dim sum was served, I knew something not right. The look of the dim sum was not appealing and not something a fine dining restaurant should served. The taste is below average. Service and ambiance are good, but definitely not worth the price. Not recommend and won't go back.

Silks is a beautiful Chinese restaurant. Very premium and spacious restaurant with private dining rooms and a large dining area which is well themed. Service is top notch as you'd expect and prompt. Menu is well thought out and the food is just Devine. Probably some of the best dumplings I'm Melbourne and the meats just melt in your mouth. Definitely a place to experience at least once if you can

Black pepper beef was absolutely delicious. The crab and lobster dumplings, silken tofu, bbq pork pastry were nice too. Waiter/waitress were very professional. Service and food were excellent. The hygiene level of the restaurant was excellent, ambience was very good. Happy to come back many times.

We were seated at the most beautiful table against the window. I appreciate each table looked like a comfortable size, being able to accomodate for plenty of dishes to be served and shared around. We opted for the set menu and every dish seemed to get better and better. When I return the dumplings, crispy chicken ribs and Beef main dish would definitely be what I re-order immediately. Each staff member was consistently checking in and making us feel very comfortable, also going above and beyond to help curate a little birthday celebration on our table. Much appreciated, can't wait to be back!

Went here for lunch. The food itself was truly amazing, I highly recommend the lobster Yum Cha. We put in for our booking a request for a yara view. Unfortunately they put us a bit farther back, even though the restaurant was quite empty (just dirty tables from other past bookings, as we came late lunch) Just a bit bizarre they wouldn't clean a table to give us a better view. Other than that, the service was impeccable. Table situation was the only reason for losing a star. Unsure if we will be back, as there are so many other great restaurants. But this definitely was worth the money.

It’s a very good restaurant with excellent service. The Private Dining Room is good for friends gatherings and business entertainment. Good atmosphere.

A very nice atmosphere, the staff were polite enough. I think it would have been nice to have some music, but there was only really the background noise of chatter. The food for the banquet $89, for what you pay, the portions size was a bit average. We had someone with food restrictions and notified them before we came and was told there was basically 2 things they could eat that was outside the banquet when we got there. They also said over the phone that we would have to pay $89 for the 5 year old and 6 month old over the phone the day before but when we got there it was rectified that we didn't have to pay for them outside of what we ordered.

Excellent service 🤩. Vegetarian friendly, adorable price at such convenient location. The vegan tiramisu is stunning 🤩, I definitely will go again in day time to enjoy the view 👏

Fantastic night at Silks. We booked a private room and the food was organised by Su without fuss. The service on the night from Ray was exceptional. Thank you both for helping create a beautiful memory and one of the best dinners we've ever had.

We had an enjoyable meal here tonight. All the dishes were very good and the desserts were delicious too. The service was impeccable and it had great ambience. We were sitting near the windows and had really great views of the Yarra. Its a premium restaurant so we were prepared to pay and were happily delughted that everything was good so was worth every cent. Will definitely come back.

Pretty good, we had the lobster set menu for lunch $199 per head with a glass of champagne. 9 courses all up. Courses were of good size you won’t leave hungry. All plated up beautifully, the black ink pasta stunning. Lobster a tad overcooked however still delicious.

Sublime meal, excellent service, and breathtaking views. Definitely one of the most expensive meal we've had in a while, but that's where all that entertainment money saved during the last two years was put to good use

Pretty good Chinese food. Had the lobster and it was definitely fresh. Pretty nice place to have a date night as well. You need to make reservations to get in. The lettuce wrap was pretty amazing. More tasty than it looks. Restaurants at the crown never fail to impress.

I had an event here at Crown where we had a private room and set menu and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! San choi bao and crab entree was absolutely divine. The lobster noodles and kingfish main was so juicy and full of flavour! The waygu beef main was nice but nothing special That crème brûlée was 🤤served with fresh mango sorbet 😍 Staff were super attentive and polite! Overall a fantastic experience! Cannot wait to go to yum cha !!

Outstanding Chinese food. We came here for dim sum and pretty much got everything! All the dumplings were perfect and tasted amazing. The only thing that wasn’t good was the fung chao Apart from that the service was exceptional

Pictures don't do justice to this restaurants. I truly wish I took videos of this place and my experience here but I lost in the amazing food, ambience and service. We ordered the dragons eyes drinks, spring rolls, king mushroom fritters, truffle fried rice and the tender valley black Angus beef. The portion servings were great and price was definitely worth the experience. The restaurant is family friendly and great for a date night. This is the most underrated place in Melbourne. I'll definitely be going back here and can't recommend it enough.

Good size servings, good quality ingredients. My daughter loved the Sweet & Sour Pork. My fav was definitely the Roasted Black Cod. Would definitely go back :)

We ordered sweet sour pork and braised e-fu noodles which were really good but their truffle fried rice was a little bland. Loved their service and atmosphere. Overall it was a great experience and I would visit here again!

Had the privilege of attending a wedding at Silks. Fantastic customer service who were attentive and went above and beyond for the guests. Food portions were extremely generous and I couldn’t fault any dish. Everything was packed with flavour. The fit out/ambience is dim but inviting, with views of the city and an indoor tent for private dining.
