Food quality has gone worse these days. Yesterday, we had steam Momo and ‘Khaja Set’. Potatoes in Khaja set was gone off and it had bad smell as soon I put it my mouth. And the momo pastry and filling inside weren’t good either. We both had food poising due to the food. The worst part was when I talked with one of the kitchen staff about the bad smell/taste of food, he didn’t even made an apology nor said anything to me. Instead I was ignored. I will never go again.

Good in taste, brings the original country taste (I guess it’s from Nepal :) )and reasonably priced. 2 people can comfortably share 1 serve of chow mein. Deducting 2 stars - 1. no heaters in winter, it’s absolutely uncomfortable to sit n wait in the cold wind for food. 2. And, food felt a bit more oily than usual. Do try to if you are craving for some variety spices!! Edit - From 3 to 1 star. Degrade in food quality. Felt like eating raw flour. Please ask not to add mustard oil in chatpat if you'r ordering it

From taste wise, Its the best nepalese restaurant here in Melbourne but according to my observation from past few months the food service time is getting delayed every time.Furthermore they’re declining the consistency of food.Last time i got the proper portion of food but today I ordered chicken chowmein and it was barely 4 thin strips of chicken in my chowmein .I hope they will amend on consistency of food and service time.Customer service and sitting environment is satisfactory👍

Great place to Nepali cuisine. 🇳🇵 Friendly staff and service . Ample of places to sit in the lobby . Must try the momos and mi goreng . Both veg & non veg dishes were good .

I ordered the chilli chicken fried momos & it was the worst Momo I have ever had. There was very hot n spicy & the chicken filling was half cooked. The outer part was tearing apart on every bite.

Khaja set, momos and chatpat were edible but nothing special. They don’t have pan fried momos nor pork momos, which is a big minus from my end. Chatpat had too much puffed rice. I had a feeling like we ate rice with achar. Chicken meat in khaja set had no taste at all. I wouldn’t recommend eating here. Momo Station which is in close proximity has better food- I’ll eat there from now on.

Chilli Everest is a Nepali restaurant which also offers other Asian dishes (namely Indonesian and Chinese). We ordered an entree, two mains and dessert, all of which were fresh, tasty and spicy. The dining area was large and colourful, featuring a large and colourful Nepal mural.

Located in Ella Precinct. First time ever trying Momos (nepalese dumplings) so soft and tasteful, and the curries they put with them was just amazing. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend.

I ordered the famous Nepalese dish Thukpa (with buff + chicken @ $18.95). As for the soup and noodles, they were tasty, spicy (as instructed) and full of flavour. The only reason I'm reluctant to rate it hogher is because the packaging was not good. Packed in the regular takeaway box, the soup was almost spilling out and it was hard to open the box like that. Also, the buff was stiff and chewy; perhaps a bit old? The chicken was fine.

I visited this restaurant last week and regret convincing my friend to try new thing. We ordered laphing (dry and jhol) it wasn’t tasty, only chilli filling, no taste at all. Laphing is hard to find only few places have included this in their menu and thought to give it a try as i was craving for this since a long time but got disappointed by the taste not recommending anyone. Don’t try , you will waste ur money and feel disappointed.

Whenever I crave Nepalese food, I always go to Chilli Everest. Their dumplings which are traditionally called, ‘momo’ are delicious. They offer a range of authentic flavours from the cuisine and they also have amazing Masala Chai. I usually order Vegetable Chowmein alongside Chilli Momo. (Tip: Get the chilli on the side.)

We ordered the momos and the chowmein. The chowmein was really tasty but the momos were okay. Overall, it’s a decent place to grab a quick bite when you are around in the city.

Quoting my partner - "best thing I've eaten in ages". She had the Potato & Cauliflower rice and curry. I had the vegetarian Thupka (noodle soup). Both were beautiful. Great for vegetarians

The menu offered a fantastic variety of Nepalese dishes, and I couldn’t resist trying the momo dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and had just the right amount of spice.

I’m not someone who’s reviewing every place i go but I really wanted to give you guys a review. Buff momo is absolutely terrible here. Firstly i feel disgusted to eat “orange coloured momo” secondly, there’s no salt or any proper flavours inside momo or jhol. Rest all the food is great but please improve the momo guys. It’s absolutely worst.

We tried fried veg momos. It’s really good. Must try if you don’t like steamed.

The chow mein was really good. Not only was the food incredibly tasty, but the service was also top-notch. The staff, especially Grishma, made my dining experience exceptional by being incredibly friendly and providing wonderful company while I enjoyed my meal. It was a delightful combination of delicious food and warm hospitality. I was fully satisfied with Chilly Everest!

I was looking for authentic Nepali food in Melbourne and found chilli Everest. I ordered the non veg Thakali Khana set. It was delicious. Enjoyed the pickles too. Food portion is enough for a full meal. Great value for money.

Waste of money. Ordered Chicken Curry & Rice. The worst rice, it was like a pudding, tasteless. Chilli Chicken Momo was just the tomato sauce with chilli paste. Not recommended.

  • 1/5 Sharad G. 9 months ago on Google
Total waste of money and time we ask for ALU chop, chicken chowmein, chill momo, chowmein, and momo looks like they are stored for more than a week. There was no test, and it looked like it was off for a while. Everything was, too, especially chowmein .noodles was overcooked and oily with no taste Poor food services. Total waste of money. Anyway, thakali food was amazing 👏 😋 but the rest of all are just waste.

Typical Nepali restaurant. Food tastes good. Rice dishes and noodles are the one to try out here. Momos were yummy. Chicken nuggets were but below average.

Best chow men in the town based in Melbourne central. Serving size and service quick and easy. Place has a shared seating but MC provides heated space so OK for melbourne winters.

The buff chowmien is to die for. So tasty and the buff was tender and crispy. Also very big portion too.

Thakali set was brilliant and it was bang for buck. It was better than Jhol mo:mo to be honest. Didn’t like the Jhol of Mo:mo that much. Highly recommend Thakali set though.

  • 4/5 Bibhor B. 1 year ago on Google
Had Thakali Khana Set and it was decent. Meat, daal, rice was given plentiful. I even added some rice later. Found the curry a little sweet, maybe to cater the Chinese customers in the area. The khana set was more or less similar to the khana set available in Nepal and kudos to the entire team. Thankyou for the tasty meal.

Looking for authentic #Nepalesefood in #Melbourne ?! You should come here and try their #Lambbbq #Lambsekuwa 🍖 and #momo 🥟 I lived in #kathamandu #Nepal for 3 months and had tried many local #sekuwa and #momo there. So I could say that @chilli_everest offers quite #authentic #streetfood from Nepal. I wish they had a better sitting area or maybe can share sitting with the Indian food section. It was so cold and windy where we sat - in front of the Melbourne Central Back Entrance 🥶🌬️ Also, if the food can come out a bit quicker ( appx. 20-25 mins wait) - it will make the experience much better. Overall, I would come back for food but maybe for takeaway 😅 #chopsticksjourney rating: 🍜 3.5/5 #nepalesefoodinmelbourne #authenticnepalesefood #nepalesemomo #nepalesestreetfood #melbourmefoodie #goodfoodinmelbourne

Very disappointed. Had this laphing ordered and it was without Gluten in all the pieces. It was like chatpatay in sliders. Food is not consistent at all. However, momos are good.

First time trying Chili Everest. The momo was delicious! I think I would get the steamed ones next time. I would definitely come back again sometime.

My new favourite place❤️ Literally had the perfect Nepali taste of chatpat and momo. We ordered the spicy chatpat and Tapari momo and it was “The Best” that I’ve ever had after coming to Australia. It tasted the same that I used to have in Nepal. Will visit soon again.
